A 2013 Mustang 5.0L Before and After with Steeda Ultralite Lowering Springs

Pete's 2013 Mustang GT is a pretty awesome automobile. Decked out in Gotta Have It Green paint, it's certainly an eye-catcher. What may be slightly harder to notice is the nice drop, reduced rake, and presumably tighter ride to set it apart from other Mustangs. Pete recently picked up a set of Steeda Ultralite Lowering springs, and allowed us to do a few before and after shots that compare the factory ride height with the drop caused by the Ultralites.

The Ultralites are rated to drop the rear of your average 2005 to 2013 Mustang by 1-1/2" in the rear and 1-1/4" in the front. The offset drop height does a good job of reducing that frontal rake angle, while closing up the gaps in the wheel arches. Check out our before and after pictures below.

While the rake reduction is kind of hard to see (our parking lot is slightly angled, bummer), what's very clear is the reduced height in the wheel arches and the overall standing height. The result is a subtle, but aggressive look that brings with it some improved handling performance.

Anyway, thanks to Pete for stopping by! The car looks great (and sounds great, thanks to a ROUSH Black-tipped axle-back kit), and we're excited to see what Pete does next. You can find Steeda's Ultralites and all of our 2011+ Mustang lowering springs right here.
