Installed this kit over the weekend. Some reviews said it took 40 minutes and some said it took 8 hours. Figured it wouldn't be too bad as I have air tools and a shop to do it in. If this only took you 40 minutes to install I will buy you a beer. Took me over 8 hours. Main problem was getting the lower strut bolts broken loose. I had a 1000lb breaking strength air impact on the passenger side lower strut bolt for about 30 minutes with penetrating oil before it broke loose. After that the only problems were getting the bottom of the strut back in to the bracket. Takes a lot of force or dropping the lower control arm a few inches. The upper control arm will contact the spring when its up in the air on jack stands. I got the 2 inch kit, FYI the spacer that comes with it is like an 1 and 3/4 but it said that it will give you the 2 inches. It lifted my front end close to 3 inches. Truck looks a lot better and cant tell any difference with the ride. Will be getting an alignment soon as the steering wheel center is a little off now.

It looks great and the installation was pretty straight forward. It took me a total of 6 hours to install. I had to rent a strut spring collapsed to get the bottom of the strut back into the control arm. I did get an alignment and the tire guy said it needed it.Then put bigger tires on, it looked great.

Instructions leave quite a bit to be desired, but you can fill in the blanks with a chiton manual. Air tools are a must as well as a can of penetrating oil and a 4' pry bar. A tip to make the installation smoother is once you're putting the strut back in with the spacer pry the lower control arm down as far as you can and have a friend help guide the shock into the LCA. Price, quality, and look are all great, but if you are planning on replacing front shocks also I would just get 2 lift struts. There is severe rubbing of the UCA on the coil spring starting at around 75% droop on the suspension. So if you do moderate off-roading I wouldn't recommend this kit.

Only took about 2 hrs to put on. Would have taken less than that if I had the appropriate metric sizes on hand to use for my truck. Install was very easy, only a few bolts to loosen and re tighten. The instructions were fairly good to use if your unsure how to install. My truck rides the same as factory. After adding this kit I also added 33s (Nitto Terra Grappler). I did end up getting an alignment done just to stay on the safe side. Overall very happy and highly reccomend this product.

Customer Question With the 2 inch leveling kit will my truck be level with the back and how muck lift does a 2wd come with from the factory in the back?

Customer Answer In general, a 2" leveling kit leaves a hint of rake. In our opinion, it takes about a 2.5" level to get these trucks at a "dead-level" stance. The RWD/2WD F150s don't come with a rear block, while the 4WD F150s come with either a 1.25" or 1.50" rear block depending on model options.

Customer Question I have a 2013 f150 4x4 supercrew. What size leveling kit would I you recommend ? 2 or 2.5? Also the stock tires that are currently on the truck are 275/65r18 I want to go with a bigger and wider tire, what size tire would you recommend?

Customer Answer Leveling kit choice really depends on what kind of stance you want and what you want to do with your truck. A 2" leveling kit tends to leave a hint of front rake, while a 2.5" kit tends to make the truck sit pretty dead-level. No choice is really wrong. Maximum tire size will vary somewhat depending on which kit you choose and what wheels you're using. In general, we tend to recommend a maximum of a 33x11.50" tire or a close metric equivalent on the stock 18" wheels.

Customer Answer I believe the actual height of the spacer itself is around 1-5/8". However, your truck's suspension geometry and ride height functions on a certain ratio, and you end up with a 2" ride height gain.

Customer Question Hello Stage 3, I have a 2009 Ford FX4 4wd and I'm running 275/60/20's giving me a front tire ground to wheel-well height of 37 1/2 and 39 1/2 in the back. Would this kit give me exactly 2 inches in the front to level it or would I still need to install a rear block? If I do need the block, what size would you recommend to get it level? Or would you recommend the 1 1/2 inch kit to get me the 2"? Also would I be able to run 34's with any of these options? Thank you

Customer Answer A 2" leveling kit will generally still leave a bit of front rake, and a rear block won't necessary. In general, a 2.5" leveling kit will get your F150 at a "dead-level" stance, again, without the need for a larger rear block. Depending on the specs of your truck's wheels, you might be able to squeeze on 34" tires, though you'd likely need a 2.5" leveling kit, and you may be limited in how wide you can go. Your best bet would be to call us directly at 1-877-578-2433 so we can get more specific about what you have and what your end goals are.

Customer Question I'm considering the AS 2" or 2.5" leveling kit for my 2011 F150 ecoboost. I do some light duty off roading. Have you seen or experienced any issues as a result from over extending the suspension or axle?

Customer Answer As long as the off-roading is pretty light and you're not fully articulating your front suspension, you should be okay. If you are going to be hitting full droop on the regular, then your stock UCA can come into contact with your springs, and the ball joint in those UCAs can bind up at full articulation or even break if an impact is violent enough. Your CVs and LCAs can see a mild amount of extra wear, but generally it's not enough to effect their overall longevity.
