Adjustable Sound With BBK Cat-Back Exhaust

With all of the options available on the market, finding the perfect cat-back exhaust kit for your Mustang GT can be overwhelming, especially if you're looking for a very particular sound or volume. To help aid in that indecision, BBK Performance developed this Varitune Cat-Back Exhaust Kit (Stainless Steel) which offers flexibility with adjustable mufflers. This unique technology allows you to easily adjust exhaust volume over a huge range, from a throaty race-quality roar to a quiet stock-sounding set up... giving you complete control over the sound of your Mustang's exhaust. The mufflers can easily be adjusted with a wrench once installed, allowing you to keep them nice and quiet in your neighborhood, but loud and proud out at the track or your local meetup. The driver and passenger side mufflers come with polished exhaust tips and was designed to bolt right in place of your stock cat-back exhaust system. This kit also includes a BBK high-performance X-Pipe with resonator delete for a raspy racing sound.

Advanced Adjustable BBK Exhaust Design

BBK's Varitune Axle-Back with "Adjustable Power Valve" works by combining an adjustable valve with a unique "chambered" internal design that allows for an 8 to 10 decibel sound range difference. When the adjustable valve is completely closed, the Varitune functions like a standard chambered muffler where exhaust gasses are forced through narrow slots in one chamber over to the opposing side which keeps overall volume down. When the valve is fully open, the muffler acts like a performance straight-through muffler so exhaust gasses pass through one tubular chamber to your exhaust tips with minimal deadening and sound loss. The Varitune system can be adjusted anywhere in-between to dial in the sound you need.

Aluminized Construction with X-Pipe & Polished Tips

Along with their impressive range of adjustability, the Varitune Cat-Back Exhaust Kit is also backed by BBK's legendary quality so that you get a system that will last your Pony for ages. This kit includes a high-performance BBK Resonator Delete X-Pipe which replaces your stock mid-pipe for improved air flow. The X-Pipe replaces your stock mid-pipe with mandrel-bent aluminized tubing that was designed with smooth bends throughout the entire piping which results in dyno-proven gains of up to 30 more horsepower. The 4" polished tips are made from 304 Stainless Steel.
