Keep Your Cover and Your Rack

If you are building out your truck for overland trips, job site duty, or weekend adventures, giving up your tonneau cover just to run a bed rack is not always an option. The RCI Metal Works Adjustable Bed Rack Tonneau Adapters are designed to solve that exact problem. These brackets allow select roll-up, retractable, and certain folding tonneau covers to work alongside RCI Bed Racks and Bed Bars, giving you the flexibility to protect gear in the bed while still running a rack up top. Instead of choosing between covered storage and rooftop capability, you get both in one clean setup. The adapters raise the rack height by three inches, creating the clearance needed for compatibility while maintaining a balanced and purposeful look.

Built for Real World Use and Easy Setup

Each kit includes either four or six heavy duty brackets, depending on the rack or bed bar model you choose, and features integrated tie down slots that add extra utility for securing cargo. The brackets are finished in a durable two stage black powder coat that stands up to weather, dirt, and daily use. Optional bolt-through holes are available for those who want added security, although most applications do not require drilling. These adapters are a standalone mounting solution, so they are not used with RCI C-clamps or Toyota mounting adapters. When ordering, you will need to use our drop down menu above to select which type of rack you are running, such as Sport or HD bed rack or 9 inch bed bars, and also choose your bed length, including 5 foot, 5 foot 6 inch, or 6 foot and longer. Once installed, you can expect a solid, well integrated setup that keeps your bed covered, your rack functional, and your build ready for whatever the next trip calls for.

Tonneau Cover Compatibility: These adapters will work with most tonneau covers that do not come with integrated T-slot rails that cover the majority of the bed cap. The brackets will also work with folding tonneau covers, though you will not be able to open the tonneau with the bed rack installed.

Requires Drilling: These brackets will require drilling into your truck's bed rails for fitment and are not compatible with RCI's optional clamp systems.
