F250 F350 Bilstein Leveling Kit Highlights:
Improved On and Off-Road Performance
0-2" Ride Height
Do Not Fit 2WD
Front & Rear Shocks For Super Dutys with up to a 2" Lift
Leveling F250 or F350 Super Duty is practically a rite of passage for new truck owners, and while a typical leveling spacer is a good option, those pucks won't be adding any suspension performance. When you want something that will make your truck actually perform as well as it looks, both on the road and off, you'll need a set of front and rear of Bilstein 5100 Series shocks. The shocks are long enough to be used with up to a 2" front level and up to 1" of rear lift.
High-Quality Piston and Valving for Improved Performance
Just like all of Bilstein's high-quality suspension components, the 5100 series front and rear shocks are built from the ground up for performance, longevity and reliability. These shocks feature Bilsteins Patented Triple-C-Technology" zinc plated silver finish. The shocks are each built around a 46mm digressive piston used with a nitrogen gas-charged mono-tube design. The valving has a self-adjusting, deflective disc design that makes these shocks effective for a variety of different applications. The shocks install right into place of your factory shocks and reuse your stock shock mount and spring assembly.
Fitment:
2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 F250 & F350
These shocks will NOT fit 2WD models
Warranty Information:
Each of these shocks are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Ford 2011 F250 Diesel Crew Cab
This is the second full set of the Bilstein 5100's I've done on my 2011 Ford F250 Super Duty 6.7L Crew cab - stock height truck. I got about 80,000 miles out of the first set (front and rear) before things just got a little too rough for me. I do use the truck off road occasionally for long backpacking trailhead approaches and Arizona back country trails, so I think 80k is pretty good for a set of shocks. Installation is pretty easy with just standard tools, a floor jack and a few jack stands. The rears are very easy after dropping the spare tire - save yourself the headache and just drop the tire from the beginning, its too much trouble working around it in place! When installing the fronts, the shocks will extend past the lower perch and you'll have to push them up with a small jack to get them to settle in the perch - somewhat tricky. I used the old trick of putting a ratchet strap around them to compress them and then push it into the perch. I then slide a punch into the hold in the perch and shock to align the shock as I slide in the lower mounting bolt from the other side. Having a second person handy for that step is helpful. I've run the Bilstein 5100 shocks now on a 1997 Toyota Tacoma, a 2010 Toyota Tundra and now twice on my 2011 F250 - so I've always been happy with them!

Night and day difference from factory shocks, in town you don't notice as much , but going at Hwy speeds it is amazing. They absorb the bumbs so well. I still can't believe the difference after 5000 miles. It took me about 2 hours to replace them in my driveway with hand tools and a jack. I will definitely be putting these on every truck From now on. Shipping was awesome from stage 3, ordered on a Tuesday afternoon and they were delivered by Friday afternoon.

2016 Ford Super Duty
After 65K miles on the OEM shocks and my wife asking "why does it seem like the truck is bouncing", I decided it was time to replace the shocks. After doing a bunch of research i elected to go with the 5100's. Durability, suggested ride quality, and price factored into my decision. The installation of the new shocks took about 2 to 2.5 hours for me. This was the first time i have ever replaced shocks and i am not much of a car mechanic. The rear shocks are straight forward to replace. One of the rear shocks the strapping to compress the shock from the factory was spot on length wise to bolt right in, the other side it was just a tad short. The tad short one I was able to cut the strap and compress the shock for install by hand. The front shocks are a bit more challenging to install due to space limitations for removal and installation of the top nut, and compressing the shock for installation. I was able to use a pry bar to push the shock up to its perch. For tightening the top nut it requires a metric allen/hex wrench to hold the shock for turning. Which is not an issue, other then space limitations makes it challenging. The ride difference after installation is noticeable. With a Super Duty you are never going to have the ride of a luxury car, but the 5100's do a great job of minimizing the transfer of rough roads into your vehicle. In a stretch of road that with the OEM shocks I always had a slight bounce due to the road design, I no longer feel with the 5100's. This alone is making me wonder why I didn't change the shocks sooner.

To say these shocks have impressed me would be an understatement. I as one who never really put much "stock" in shocks when it comes to 3/4 - 1.0 ton pickups....but was I wrong. These shocks DRASTICALLY improved the ride of my pick-up. With that said, the OEM "Rancho" shocks I took off were so dead they never even tried to rebound when I compressed them.....thus to say I was on springs for god knows how long. Great shock - well worth the money!

My truck was a little tricky and had a leveling kit. So I needed stock up front and 4 inch in rear. Stage 3 returned my shocks and shipped me out the proper rear ones with no problem. I have to say I enjoyed the customer server tremendously. Shocks alone take a bit by yourself. Gott use a jack to compress rear and fronts were in need of a good banging to get them into position. Other then that about easy as it gets with a hammer and a few wrenches. I am definitely coming back to stage 3 and sticking with these shocks. They work great on my 2008 f350 king ranch 6.4.

These shocks are the perfect match for a heavy superduty truck. Mine has a leveling kit and has 35s on it rides better than ever. Smooth and quiet ride. Install took me and another person an hour to install all 4. Shocks are well build and well designed on the front two shock piston rod with a Allen key on top for good bite when tightening the top lock nut. They look amazing but ride even better. Will always buy these when needed. My father will also be buying a set after the difference the in the ride quality.

Parts came packaged well. I read a lot of reviews prior to purchasing these. My truck had the O.G. Shocks with 111000 miles. After removing the old that had absolutely no rebound left. The new installed easy no hiccups. First drive, I did not notice a single difference. I now have a few thousand miles on them and I do notice that the truck doesn’t buck some of the really bad spots on the freeways of So Cal. Yes, I do know what I’m driving and know that it will never drive like a caddy. Was hoping it would be than what I had.

Asked by:
Eric
- 12/4/2023
The rear shocks included in this kit are rated for 1" above stock so the rears may not be long enough depending on what size block you have. Give our sales team a call at 623.434.5277 to discuss you rear setup and we can make sure you get the correct length shocks.

Yep, they will. The Rough Country 3" Lift uses a 2" rear block, which will work fine with these shocks.

We have a 2016 ford f350 crew cab 6.2l that we run a boss v plow on. I do not have a lift on it but went up to a 285/75/17 tire, would this be the correct shock for the truck?
Asked by:
scott jones
- 10/18/2022
Yep. These shocks would work just fine on a truck with a Snow Plow package.

Helping my father in law pick out shocks for his truck. Is there a different rear shock for a dually. I would think the heavier axle would need a dissent shock.
Asked by:
Rob
- 2/10/2022
As long as the truck is not a cab and chassis model, this set of shocks will fit just fine. While the rear axle is heavier, the shocks are only there for damping. Most of the weight and energy from that weight is taken up in the leaf springs.

I have this s set that I purchased for my 2018 f250. I just purchased a ready lift 2.5 lift and it comes with these same shocks. My son has a 2015 f250 and I was wondering if they will fit on his ?
Asked by:
Jason Mathis
- 3/29/2021
This particular set of shocks is designed for the 2005-2016 Super Dutys, and should not have an issue fitting on an F250 that's at 0-2" of front leveling and 0-1" of rear lift.

I purchased these shocks for my 06 f250. The front shocks are supposed to be adjustable however I can’t find any way to adjust them and the instructions don’t mention it either.
Asked by:
Jimmy
- 9/17/2019
The shocks alone are not able to add any lift on their own. On a solid axle truck like a Super Duty, the only way to add front lift is with a spring spacer and/or taller spring. The 5100s for the F150s are a different story, since they have an IFS/double-wishbone setup.

I have a 2009 F350 with a 6.8 V10. It has a snow plow prep package, I'm wondering if these shocks will work for me, or if you know of any that will work?
Asked by:
JT
- 7/23/2019
These shocks will work just fine on a plow package truck. The only thing you need to really watch out for on trucks equipped with plow packages are springs. Due to the extra weight of the plow package (much less the plow itself), you won't get the same ride height gains out of set of springs as what they're rated for on standard trucks.

I have recently purchased a 2012 F-350 4WD Super Duty that still has factory shocks, but installed rear mono bags for towing stock trailers, etc. The truck has been great, but it is time for new shocks. Would these shocks (specifically the rear) work well with my truck and factoring in the rear mono air bags?
Asked by:
Farmer Joe
- 7/7/2019
As long as your air spring kit of choice doesn't require aftermarket shocks, then this Bilstein kit should work just fine.

I have a 2016 f350 drw 4x4 that is a welding truck I have a heavy bed on the back and drive a lot of dirt roads that are in poor shape. I currently have the factory rancho shocks. Truck is not lifted but does have super springs in the rear. What would you recommend for a decent ride on the dirt roads? Currently I drive less than 10mph to keep from whip lash.
Asked by:
sylvester
- 6/18/2019
The Bilsteins would definitely help, however, if the roads you're driving on are fairly rough (and you're on them pretty often), you may want to consider grabbing a set of Fox 2.0s. The Fox 2.0s tend to perform a bit better off-road due to their slightly larger diameters and aluminum bodies that keep them from suffering from as much fade. Frankly, if you have a pretty built bed on your truck with a lot of weight, you may even want to consider jumping up to a set of 2.5 shocks, though they are a pricey piece of kit. Your best bet would be to call us directly at 623-434-5277 so we can get more specific about your truck and what kind of terrain you're driving on.

Would these shocks be sufficient for a 2011 f350 with the 6.7 psd in it?
Asked by:
Mfdesign
- 3/19/2019
They'd be pretty big improvement over stock. Whether they're "sufficient" really depends on what you're doing with your truck. If you're predominantly driving on the street or towing, these shocks would be a very good choice. If you have more strenuous off-road needs in mind, you may want to go a different direction.

I see the front shocks are for 0-2” of lift. I have a pro-comp 2.5” leveling kit. Would I still have to use the extension brackets that came with the leveling kit since it’s a half inch too much?
Asked by:
Larry
- 1/7/2019
We recommend using these in conjunction with the Pro Comp shock extensions, as .50" can make a difference, especially if you drive your truck fairly hard.

Is the picture here wrong for the rear shocks? The picture shows a pin mount for both the front and rear shocks, but for the F250 it should only be a pin mount on top for the Front shocks. The rear shocks should have an eye mount for both the top and bottom.
Asked by:
Chip Linthicum
- 12/3/2018
Unfortunately, we do not have good photos of the rear shocks meant for this kit, but you are correct. This kit does come with eyelet-to-eyelet rear shocks, and front pin-mount to eyelet front shocks.

Will these fit a 2017 Ford F-250 4x4. If not what Bilstein 5100 part number will?
Asked by:
Jake
- 5/20/2018
Unfortunately, Bilstein states the components of this kit only fit through 2016 Super Dutys, and they don't have equivalent part numbers for the 2017-2018 Super Dutys as of yet. They'll likely have some more 2017-2018 Super Duty parts released soon.

I am helping my friend level his 2008 F250 2wd. We were hoping there would be a 2" leveling strut by Bilstein similar to what I used on my 2011 F150. However, we aren't finding anything other than 2" spacers. What do you recommend for leveling? We would like to go with something similar to the 5100s if possible?
Asked by:
Armando
- 2/21/2018
Since these trucks are solid axle with a spring and shock, there's really not an equivalent kit to the 5100s Leveling Struts for the F150s. However, you can use the
Bilstein BTS 2" Spring Leveling Kit
and then pair it up with a pair of
Bilstein's 5100 rear shock
to get essentially the same result.

The rear has a 4 inch lift that is stock but the description states for 0-2" lift. Are the rear shocks for the stock suspension?
Asked by:
Jeffrey Moon
- 8/4/2017
The shocks are designed to handle 0-2" of extra ride height over stock, so they can feasibly handle up to a 2" leveling kit on the front and either a 6" rear block or add-a-leaf kit on the rear.
