High-Quality, High-Performance Suspension Kit at a Great Price
F150s that are going to see serious use both on and off the road are going to need a suspension overhaul using quality components that provide excellent performance. However, you don't have to break your bank doing it, and our Bilstein 6112 Stage 2 System replaces your factory coilover assemblies and rear shocks with awesome and powerful Bilstein coilover assemblies and remote reservoir rear shocks at a great price. Each one of these packages features a par of Bilstein 6112 front coilover assemblies, as well as a pair of Bilstein 5160 rear shocks that work together to give your F150 a huge bump in handling and capability both on an off-road. Rounding out the kit is a set of Grimm OffRoad tubular uniball upper control arms that give your F150 a slight improvement in travel and greatly increased strength over stock. The 6112 front coilover assemblies feature selectable spring perches that can add 0", .5", 1.5", or 2" of ride height to help reduce your truck's rake and get you clearance for larger wheel and tire combinations. The 5160 rear shocks can handle up to 2" of rear lift, allowing you to use 3" rear blocks, add-a-leafs, or complete aftermarket leaf packs without any issues with the shocks. Both the 6112 coilover assemblies and the 5160 rear shocks install right in place of your F150's stock components in a straightforward installation.
Bilstein 6112s with 60mm Shock Body with Digressive Valving and Bilstein Spring
The Bilstein 6112 Front Coilover Assemblies feature a durable construction with a piston and valving designed to handle aggressive applications. The coilovers are built around a 60mm diameter (2.36") shock body that has a much larger oil capacity than stock and features a zinc plated finish to help prevent corrosion. The shock assembly utilizes a gas-charged monotube internal design with a digressive piston with valving tuned specifically for your truck. The coilover assembly comes with a new Bilstein spring and billet spring seats that use a snap ring to fit into grooves on the shock body for ride height adjustments. The assembly reuses the factory upper coilover mount, bump stop, and hardware. The 6112s come with installation and ride height adjustment instructions.
Rear Shocks with a Gas-Charged Monotube Design with Remotely-Mounted Reservoir
Each shock was designed from the ground up to provide both a huge increase in performance and fade-resistance over the factory rear shock. The 5160 rear shock utilizes a gas-charged, monotube internal design with a 46mm internal diameter that provides improved rebound and response over stock. Bilstein designs each of the 5160 rear shocks with velocity-sensitive digressive valving that helps provide a smooth and clean ride on the street, while still easily handling off-road abuse. The remotely-mounted reservoir can be mounted to the shock piggy-back style with the shock's included hardware, or away from the main shock body thanks to its unique swivel banjo-fitting and malleable hose. Both the shock and the reservoir feature a clear zinc-plated finish for protection against corrosion.
UCAs with 1" PTFE Lined Uniball in CNC Machined Cup with Mandrel-Bent Tubular Steel Arms and Poly Bushings
The Grimm OffRoad UCAs for 2004-2021 F150s were designed for strength, and will let you and your truck rip around off the beaten path without letting you down. The heart of the Grimm OffRoad UCAs is their 1" uniball joint that offers both increased structural strength and better deflection angles than the stock UCAs. The uniball cup is made out of CNC machined 4130 steel where the 1", PTFE uniball is housed. The control arms come standard with an incredibly strong 17-4 steel adapter that bolts right through the factory spindle without the need for additional modifications. The arms themselves are made from 1026 tubular steel that's carefully mandrel-bent to ensure a perfect fit onto your truck. Each UCA mounts to your truck's frame using the OEM hardware and come with bushing houses with Zerk fittings that makes for easy maintenance. The bushings themselves are made out of polyurethane that's more resistant to deflection than stock rubber bushings while still having a quiet operation. The arms are topped off with a gloss black powder coat finish for a great look and corrosion resistance. Grimm OffRoad includes all necessary installation hardware and instructions. The arms are made in the USA and come backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
Fitment:
2009-2013 F150 4WD
Not recommended for 3.7L F150s:
this kit is not recommended for use on 2011-2013 F150s with a 3.7L V6, due to their lighter curb weight and the ride height they gain from the front 6112s.
Requires spring compressor:
the front coilover assemblies require you to transfer over your F150's stock upper mount and spring isolator for installation. Installation requires the use of a spring compressor, and we
strongly
recommend using a wall-mount or floor-mount spring compressor due to the size and spring rate of the springs involved.
Backspacing Requirements:
the upper control arms require a wheel with a maximum of a 5.50" of backspacing in order to clear a 12.50" wide tire. Wheels with larger amounts of backspacing will fit, but you will be required to use narrower tires.

What is different on the 2014s? I'm seeing lots of kits available for the 14-20 model years and I'd find it hard to believe bilstein would exclude 6 years of f150s from their lineup. Do these kits work on the 2014 because they're the same generation of f150 or do I need the next generation (2015+) f150 kit?

The lower control arm mounting changed in 2014 so any struts or coilovers designed for the 09-13 F150 will not work on a 2014. You would need to use either 2014 year specific struts/coilovers or many of the 2015+ kits will also work. Give our sales team a call and we can help get the correct parts ordered for you.

Hello, I have a 2011 5.0 Crew cab, how harsh of a ride will these bet set at 1.5" in the front and stock in the rear?

The ride will not be harsh at any of the height settings. Bilstein does a softer spring rate on the 6112 so it rides better at the lifted heights than when trying to use the stock springs.

I have a 2013 F150 with the EcoBoost 3.5L V6. On the Bilstein package it says not to be used on the V6 3.7L. Does that not apply to the 3.5L ? and what is the reasoning for that?

Bilstein doesn't recommend using this on 3.7L V6 trucks, due to their lighter curb weights, which makes them sit a bit higher than other engine options. The 3.5L EcoBoost V6 has a heavier curb weight due to the turbos, turbo system components, and direct injection components, which means it does not have this issue.

I have a 2011 4x4 v8 f150 my front factory springs rate is 633lbs will the 6112 500lb spring rate affect my towing capability in a negative way?

The 6112 front springs won't have an effect on your F150's towing capacity. Nothing changes the number on the door. The only potential issue in regards to towing is the leveling they provide. If you are towing heavy, you may end up with rear rake, which can be an issue in regards to stability. If you are towing heavy/regularly, you may want to consider some sort of load support system with this kit.

Hi, I owen a 2014 F150 FX4 4 full drs long bed w/ the 6.2L was looking for a kit from Bilstein I know the have the stage 1/ leveling kit but wanted to upgrade the coil overs and control arms on mine. I see on your website that Fox has a kit for the 14 never used Fox been a Bilstein fan.

I currently have a 6” Rough Country lift on my 2012 Ford F-150. I want an additional 1” of lift on the front end and I am thinking of installing the Bilstein 6112 coil overs. Also, I want upgrade the rear shocks as well with Bilstein 5160. Will the 5160’s work in the rear with 6” lift? I can’t seem to find the correct part number for the 5160. Please provide.

You can use the front coilover assemblies in conjunction with Rough Country's 6" lift kit to squeeze out an inch of lift. Unfortunately, the shocks in this package aren't long enough to work with a 6" lift kit, and Bilstein does not have a 2009-2013 5160 specifically for 6" lift kits. That being said, Bilstein has some semi-universal 5165 shocks that may work. However, you should probably call us directly at 623-434-5277 or email us at

so we can get specific about your Rough Country kit, it's rear block size, and the collapsed and extended length of shock you'll need.

The majority of the stock wheels (including the OEM 20x8.5") have a 6.50" backspace. You can use them in conjunction with this kit and its UCAs, however, you'll be limited to a maximum of an 11.50" wide or 295 wide tire.

I’m trying to decide between this kit, and a 2.5” ProComp kit with the black series Coilovers from 4wheelparts. Other than the extra .5” front lift, what would be the differences in the 2. Are these bds control arms superior to procomp’s? Better quality shocks? And with any Coilover package, have y’all seen or ran into issues with the cv angle? I know that 2 or 2.5” isn’t extreme, but does everything seem to hold up when hitting trails? I have a 2013 super crew platinum 4x4. 20” aftermarket wheels. Currently have 33” tires and will either stick with 33s or may eventually go up to 34” tires but to 11.5” wide or less

We'd need to know the specific part numbers for a comparison. In general, Bilstein's shocks and coilovers tend to be better built and the BDS arms are superior to Pro Comp's arms by most measures. You're best bet would be to give us a call directly at 623-434-5277 so we can get more specific about what you're looking for.
