We here at Stage 3 Motorsports love to go out and have some fun off-road with our trucks, though usually we go off on our own. This time we're inviting you. All of you, in fact. On April 26th, 2014, we here at Stage 3 are holding a Trail Day up at Greasy Spoon Trail between Cottonwood and Sedona, Arizona. The trail is rated "moderate" by our Arizona trail handbook and should be a good time for just about anyone who tags along. The only real restriction is that we're requiring four wheel drive. We'll meet at the trailhead at 9:30am and hit the dirt. The trail ought to take 1-1/2 to 2 hours, after which we'll head up to Sedona proper for lunch and disperse from there. We're planning on having free giveaways for anyone who shows up and we'll be raffling off some cool gear. We're still nailing down some of the final details, and we'll have a form for you to fill out if you're planning to attend. Anyway, click for the skinny.
Not going to lie, I had my doubts when we first added the ADD Rancher Front Off-Road Bumper for the 2010 to 2013 SVT Raptors. It looked like such a bulky, unwieldy thing, though it does offer up better protection than ADD's other front bumper options. Still, if it were my truck, I'd probably have grabbed either the ADD Venom bumper or the ADD Stealth bumper. Well, we received some very nice images from Greg, the proud owner of a black 2013 SVT Raptor that pretty much won me over on the Rancher. The bumper looks awesome on Greg's truck and the lines and various guards on the Rancher blend well with his Raptor's rugged and aggressive lines. All of Greg's photos are available after the jump. The end result is pretty awesome, and I can say that I've been sold on it.
Just when you thought our huge selection of F150 EcoBoost performance parts and accessories just couldn't get any better, we here at Stage 3 go hog-wild with some pretty awesome upgrades that can provide your truck's 3.5L EcoBoost V6 with even more power and improved performance. These newly added EcoBoost parts range from extremely potent water/methanol injection kits and high-quality downpipes to more basic oil catch cans and spark plugs. We here at Stage 3 can help you keep your EcoBoost running at its best, or help turn it into an utter monstrosity that can dominate the street, track, or trail without even batting an eye. Many of these parts are perfectly complimented by 5-Star's custom tuning or supplemented by our immensely powerful EcoBoost Phased Performance packages to make your truck absolutely fearsome.
We've been pretty busy here at Stage 3 as of late. We've added a ton of new F150 performance parts and accessories to the site over the last couple of months, with many more to come right on time for tax return season (funny how that works!). For those of you a budget, or who aren't getting a lot of love from Uncle Sam this spring, we have a few F150 accessories that give your truck a great look, some extra utility, and improved ergonomics and nearly all of them come under $100. While these upgrades may not instantly transform your truck into a fire-breathing, tire-shredding monstrosity, then are a nice touch that can really help complete the look of a fully-built F150 or serve as a springboard for other mods once your modification bug kicks into full swing.
Real, pure, ugly, bog-smelling, nasty mud is not a common occurrence in most of Arizona, and certainly not around the Phoenix area (until Monsoon season). The sprawling swamplands of Louisiana are an entirely different story, as F150ecoboost.net forum member (and good customer of ours) Pinero61 found out when he buried his 2013 F150 EcoBoost FX4 deep into a trail. Despite being packed with one of our EcoBoost Phase 4 Performance Packages, a 170° thermostat, and custom tuning from MPT to bring it all together, his 2.5" leveling kit and 35" General Grabber tires wrapped around 20" Method 301s just wasn't enough to beat the enormous patch of rutted mud that he found himself buried in to nearly his truck's frame rails. Still, the whole adventure makes for some great pictures, which Pinero61 has let us post on our blog. Hit the jump for all of the muddy goodness!
It's finally here. It feels like forever since we first got wind that BBK was working on a version of their Power-Plus throttle body series for the 6.2L SVT Raptors and F150s, but it has finally hit shelves and is ready to jump on your truck's 6.2L V8 to give it some horsepower and torque. This 85mm drop-in replacement throttle body may only be 5mm larger in diameter than stock, but that's just enough extra to allow for a larger volume of air to flow into your truck's manifold when you punch the throttle. The BBK 85mm SVT Raptor throttle body kit will be especially potent on Raptors with cold air intakes and aftermarket PCM tuning to help add even more power to your off-road truck. Just like all of BBK's power-plus throttle bodies, this version for the 6.2L Raptors and F150s will drop right in to place of your stock throttle body with no drilling or other modifications.
We here at Stage 3 Motorsports have been known to actually get out of the office and have some fun. Not that getting you the performance parts and accessories you crave for your car or truck isn't fun, but we do like to change things up a little. Last Friday, all of us here at Stage 3 packed some warm clothes and our toothbrushes and headed up to beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona, where there's actually snow, clear skies, and even the color green. We brought both our 2012 F150 5.0L FX4 Project Truck and our fairly "new" 2004 F150 5.4L (with only 165,000 miles) up into the forests and mountains around Flagstaff for a little snow, mud, and off-road fun. Naturally, we brought our camera gear, GoPros, and supporting hardware along to get some of the action down on video and photo. We had an amazing time and just might need to make this into an annual thing. Hit the jump for some teaser images. A video showcasing our trucks will be up shortly.
While MyFord Touch usually gives all of the warm happy feelings of your average root canal, it is a good idea in principle, if not in application. One of the better things about the MyFord Touch display is its ability to display custom wallpapers and really class up the look of your truck or show your pride for your sports franchise, post-secondary educational institution, or aftermarket performance parts retailer of choice. GriffFX4, a user over at F150forum.com, has been going hog-wild making all sorts of awesome MyFord wallpapers for just about anything he gets a request for. To that end, Griff went out of his to make a bunch of wallpapers featuring the Stage 3 Motorsports shield logo. Needless to say, they're absolutely bad ass. Thank you, Griff for hooking us up. If you like his work, he's currently running a request thread over at F150forums. Make sure to shoot him a PayPal donation using his firstname.lastname@example.org email address.
