Bora makes an excellent product. It took me about an hour to install. Overview: I wire brushed and cleaned all contact surfaces, applied a very think layer of anti-seize (between brake hat and adapter). Then I installed the adapter - hand-tightening the Bora-supplied lug nuts. Next I brought the tension up uniformly and torqued to spec (150lbs in my case). Next I reinstalled wheels and torqued the wheel lugs to adapter studs using that same process and spec. Then I drove a few miles (5-8), pulled the wheels, re-torqued the adapters, reinstalled the wheels and again drove it for a few miles ... then finally re-torqued the wheel lugs. The whole process was a bit tedious but the end result was exactly what I wanted. Many people question whether the studs need to be trimmed for the 1.25 adapters. My 20 sport wheels had a pretty deep pocket. I didn't measure it but it was probably twice as deep as it needed to be to accommodate the stud overlap that the 1.25 adapters gave me. I'm pretty confident I could have used a 1 adapter. Glad I didn't though...the 1.25 was perfect...no more no less IMO.

2017 F150 Limited
Install was easy if you have a heavy duty jack and a air wrench. Looks perfect with the stock 22 wheels, no need to shave studs or any modifications needed as the OEM wheels have pockets on the back for the little bit that sticks out.Good quality and fits perfect...no driving issues or shaking of steering as some other spacers do. A+

2019 F-150
I have a 2019 F-150, I was hoping to gain a little more clearance and improve the looks of my vehicle with the BORA 1.25" wheel spacer. Install was easy, and product seems to be very high quality. The only down side was I was hoping not to need to shave the studs, which was the case on the front wheels, however, for some reason Ford has longer studs or they stick out further on the rear, so those needed to be trimmed. Otherwise it was great.

2017 F150 Platinum
I like the platinum 20" wheels but not how they were tucked in under the truck. These 1.25" spacers are strong, well built and exact fitment. The wheels have big enough pockets that you could run 1" and still not shave the studs. The look is perfect as it brought the tires out exactly where they should have been from the factory. I notice the truck rides and corners slightly better after the install. It's amazing what 2.5" added track width did to improve the handling as I didn't expect much difference.

Customer Question Will these fit a 2019 F-150 limited with factory wheels without having to trim the studs?

Asked by: Craig - 11/10/2024
Customer Answer On the 2019 F150, there are relief cuts on the back of the factory wheel which will allow you to use 1.25" wheel spacers. The stud will be sticking out past the spacer so if you ever decide to swap to aftermarket wheels, you would need to trim the studs as aftermarket wheels do not have the relief cuts that factory wheels do.

Customer Question I have a 2021 F150 with OEM tremor 18” wheels. Will a 1.25” wheels spacer work without trimming the studs?

Asked by: Nick - 3/15/2024
Customer Answer With the 2021+ F150 trucks coming with slightly longer studs than the previous years, you may have to do slight stud trimming at the 1.25" thickness spacers. We would recommend going with the 1.5" if using factory wheels to avoid any possible stud trimming.

Customer Question I have a 2020 f150 with the 2021 factory sport wheels and wondered if it is known whether the studs will need to be trimmed on 1.25” spacers, thanks!

Asked by: Stephen - 2/1/2024
Customer Answer Factory Ford wheels have relief cuts in the back and would not require any stud trimming at 1.25" thickness. You will however have to trim the studs even with the spacer if you use any wheel that does not have the relief cuts which is most aftermarket and non Ford manufactured wheels.

Customer Question I have a 2021 Ford F150 Raptor, 37 performance package. Well the 1.25 inch spacers fit without any modification? Please and thank you.

Asked by: Scott Walker - 11/25/2023
Customer Answer Yes, these spacers will work on your 21 Raptor with factory wheels as they have relief cuts in the back. If you are currently running aftermarket wheels, than you would most likely have to do a small amount of stud trimming due to aftermarket wheels not having the relief cuts like the stock wheels.

Customer Question 2019 F-150 with 18” Method NV will lugs need to be cut?

Asked by: Brad - 10/20/2020
Customer Answer They likely will need trimming for a Method NV. Method does not generally machine recesses into the hub mount surface, unfortunately. However, we have not tried it ourselves as of yet.

Customer Question Did you put any anti-seize compound on the back of the spacer prior to installing to easy removal when you need to change things like your rotors and all? I've seen tons of YouTube videos of people fighting getting their spacers off after long use due to corrosion. If so, would you use copper or aluminum-based anti-seize?

Asked by: Chris - 1/27/2020
Customer Answer We did not. In Arizona, we don't really have to worry about constant moisture and definitely not road salt in the winter. However, you can absolutely use a layer of anti-seize between the back of the spacer and rotor's hub to make them easier to remove in the future.

Customer Question Which one will fit a 2018 raptor without shaving the studs?

Asked by: Kam - 5/19/2019
Customer Answer The only set that we can guarantee will fit without trimming are the 1.50" and larger spacers. Some stock wheels will take the 1.25" spacers without trimming, but you'll have to check the recesses on the wheels' mounting surface and see if you have clearance.

Customer Question I have a 2018 F-150 XLT 4x4 V8. I have stock/factory 20" rims and have just installed 305/55R20 tires on them. I was told that I need to buy adapters as the thread size/bolt pattern do not match any of the wheel spacers. Can you please confirm that these spacers fit the same bolt patter/thread size as whats on my truck and won't need any adaptors or additional lugs? Is this everything I need to make it work? thank you in advance!

Asked by: Dustin - 12/12/2018
Customer Answer All of the 2018 F150s use a 6x135mm bolt pattern and these wheel spacers will fit just fine out of the box without the need for bolt adapters or wobble bolts.

Customer Question I saw on a video that the stock bolts come out past the 1.25" spacer, which technically means the tire/rim will not sit flush. Can you confirm that these will work with a factory 20" Ford rim without cutting the bolts? thank you!

Asked by: Dustin - 12/12/2018
Customer Answer 1.25” spacers fit the king ranch 20” pvd wheels. They have pretty deep pockets for the spacer studs. Just over 1/2”

Answer provided by: Matt (4/19/2019)
Customer Answer We cannot strictly guarantee that your factory studs will not need trimming with 1.25" spacers. A few folks have installed them successfully on some wheels without trimming, but their fitment depends on the depth of the recesses on the back of the wheel. The only we only guarantee that 1.50" spacers and above will not require stud trimming, so if you're concerned, you may want to consider BORA's 1.50" Spacer Kit.

Customer Question will these fit with no trimming on the 18inch 2017 f150 chrome wheel? Is it safe to run these if you tow alot? 7000lb trailer?

Asked by: jinetekid - 9/26/2018
Customer Answer We can't guarantee that 1.25" spacers won't require stud trimming on factory wheels, though some customers have had success. The only ones we can guarantee won't require trimming are the 1.50" spacers. These spacers are fine to use in towing applications as long as they're properly installed and OEM torque specs are used. That being said, it's usually better to use an aftermarket wheel with the offset you want than spacers for dedicated towing applications.

Customer Question Will the 1.25" spacers require stud trimming with 2016 factory 18" chromes?

Asked by: Mark - 7/17/2018
Customer Answer We can't guarantee that you won't require stud trimming. We haven't tried these spacers with the stock 18" wheels ourselves. If the wheel's recesses are .25" deep or more, then there's at least a chance you won't have to trim your studs.

Customer Question Wondering if these would work with the 2016 f150 17 inch alloys?

Asked by: Jordie - 7/15/2017
Customer Answer They physically fit the wheels, but you may need to trim your stock studs. We can only guarantee no trimming on 1.50" spacers and up.

Customer Question Do these spacers use the same thread as the stock lug nuts?

Asked by: Erik - 1/24/2017
Customer Answer Yep. The thread pitch on the spacers' studs is exactly the same as stock, allowing you to reuse the factory lug nuts or a set of stock-replacement lug nuts.

Customer Question I have a 2016 f150 With the sport 20" rims and the hancook tires. Im looking to get spacers but i want to make sure with the 1.25" BORA spacers that i wont have to trim studs or have any rubbing.?

Asked by: Tyler - 12/21/2016
Customer Answer The back of the 20" sport 6 spoke rims are hollowed out and will allow the use of these spacers without trimming studs

Customer Answer Unfortunately, I'm not certain what the hub bore is on the factory wheels, and you may have to trim the studs with a 1.25" spacer kit. Your better bet would be the BORA 1.50" Spacer Package, if you want to absolutely avoid trimming.
