While dropping a Boss 302R Intake Manifold onto your F150's 5.0L motor does take a bit more work than the Mustangs, the results are worth it. This manifold can give your truck a huge boost in performance with up to 40 more horsepower, more torque, and a revised power curve that maintains power into the mid to high-RPM ranges. This complete F150 Boss 302 Intake Manifold Kit comes with a custom-built aFe cold air intake, an SCT Livewire TS+ tuner and your choice of two 5 Star Custom Tunes that adjust your truck's PCM to take full advantage of your new manifold for maximum performance gains and to avoid engine damage.
High-Powered Boss Manifold with Advanced Design
Developed specifically for the powerful Boss 302 Mustangs, this carefully-designed intake manifold greatly improves airflow into your truck's cylinders by using short, direct runners that drop right down to the intake ports on the cylinder heads. The specially-designed manifold produces more power across your 5.0L's entire power band while providing vastly improved horsepower and torque in higher rpm ranges, where the stock manifold combined with the F150 version of the Coyote V8's low compression tends to taper off.

The Boss 302R Intake Manifold is not compatible with your truck's factory intake system, so a custom-built aFe cold air intake kit is provided to replace your truck's current intake setup. aFe's cold air intake comes standard with one of their powerful and highly-efficient Pro Dry S air filters that features five layers of specially-designed filtration media with an easily-cleaned dry design. The unique filter design provides a larger volume of charge air at cooler temperatures than stock and is mounted in a complete heat shield assembly that seals to your truck's hood to help protect the system from engine heat soak. The filter dumps inbound air into a complete inlet tube that's been cut to fit your truck's Boss 302 Intake Manifold without any modifications.
The Livewire TS+ features a complete touch screen display that allows for easy customization and the ability to display a wide variety of gauges and other information instantly. The Livewire hooks into your truck's OBD-II port to pull its monitoring information and to upload your 5 Star Custom Tunes. The Livewire TS+ even has built-in WiFi capability that allows you to download new tunes and firmware updates wirelessly. The tuner includes a windshield suction mount, OBD-II cable, and a USB for downloading new software and tunes from your home PC.
5 Star's tunes turn up your 2011-2014 F150 5.0L's power by adjusting its fuel curves, ignition timing, fan control, and a ton of other variables so that your F150 makes huge amounts of horsepower and torque. 5 Star's custom tuning even takes into account your truck's tire size, drivetrain, and axle ratio so that your truck operates perfectly with your choice of tune. 5 Star's custom tunes are available in multiple variations for 87, 89, 91, or 93 octane gasoline to give you a wide range of tuning options.

Stage 3's 5 Star Custom Tuning Step-by-Step:
1. You place your order for 5 Star's Custom Tunes.
2. Stage 3 sends you a "blank" tuner without custom tunes.
3. You hook the tuner into your vehicle and pull its ECU strategy code.
4. You fill out our online tune form with the information from your truck and its strategy code.
5. If your truck has Ford's latest strategy updates, we'll forward your information over to 5 Star and get your tunes created.
6. Once 5 Star creates your tunes, you will be emailed a link to download them from our Google Drive.
7. Download 5 Star's tunes to your PC and then load them to your tuning device using SCT's Device Updater Software.
8. Now you can successfully load your 5 Star Custom Tune of choice into your Ford.
The 5.0L Coyote V8 in the F150 has pretty solid mid-range horsepower and torque, but once you're outside of that narrow 3000 to 5000rpm band, the engine tends to lug around. 5 Star's custom tuning greatly improves low-end power output while the Boss 302 Manifold greatly improves top-end power and increases you truck's rev range and redline. 5 Star's test truck managed to put down around a peak 270 horsepower and 285lb-ft of torque. With the Boss Manifold Package and a 5 Star 93 octane tune, their test 5.0L put down 320 horsepower and 305lb-ft of torque. That's a gain of 50 horsepower and 20lb-ft of torque. What's more important is that peak horsepower came in at around 6000rpm, which is after the stock manifold's power totally dropped off. The manifold package and tuning also managed to add up to 30lb-ft of torque below 3000rpm, which gives your truck much more off-the-line speed and low-end pulling power. Even the gains on 5 Star's 87 octane tune were impressive, meaning you can run this package with lower-tier fuel and still get excellent results.

Off-Road Exhaust Systems: 5 Star can no longer provide custom tuning for off-road exhaust systems that delete catalytic converters. 5 Star can only tune for catted exhaust systems. However, 5 Star WILL NOT disable your rear oxygen sensors, which may result in a check engine light.
