Very Happy with Eibach Pro-Truck Coilovers
After doing a lot of comparison research, I chose these Eibach Pro-Truck 4WD Coilovers for my 2016 F-150. I originally had 2.5 inch leveling spacers up front and was replacing the UCA's and decided to replace the front struts to coilovers as well, since I had to remove them to install the UCA's. I am very happy with the quality and adjustability of the Eibach Coilovers. They ride extremely well on street and off-road and have greatly increased suspension travel over stock. Installation was great with replacing the whole coilover unit instead of only the strut and having to reuse the top hat and spring (and the ease of not having to use spring compressors) They were a direct swap on installation and that made the process extremely efficient. One note, the product description on the Stage 3 website states that there is no new spanner adjusting wrench included. I ordered a new spanner directly from Eibach ($20) ahead of time, but when I opened the Eibach coilover box, there WAS a new spanner wrench included from the factory. I'm assuming the new shipments have these included... Over all I'm very happy with the look, fit and functionality of these Eibach Pro-Truck Coilovers.

These are beautiful. Visually and performance wise. The 550lb spring makes a huge difference over a stiffer spring. On- road they’re smoother than stock not rigid like other stiffer coil overs. Off-road they eat bumps for breakfast. Love these coil overs.

2018 F-150 Supercab 3.5EB
Overall very happy with them. Came from bilstein 5100s to these, the ride is MUCH stiffer. Party because I was seeking more height, but the spring rate is noticeable. Maybe because I have a supercab and slightly less weight, but I had to add a 1” spacer so I can lower the Coilovers and take some of the spring preload off. Rides much better now, probably as good as possible at 3 inches of lift. Very happy they used a progressive rate spring, and the spring rate actually decreased when I lowered them and added the spacer, but the ride height did not. Now if I add a winch or bumper to the front I can easily add some preload back to support the extra weight

2016 F150 3.5 ecoboost
I’ve used these shocks for about 15,000 miles and they’ve performed pretty well. I had a shop install them and set to about 2.75” lift. They rode a little stiff. About 5,000 miles ago I added a 1/2” spacer to them which did involve removing them and adding longer bolts but I wished I did this from the start. They ride great now. I have the eibach extended travel rear shocks as well, wish I opted for the rear reservoirs from eibach which I think was new when I bought this set. Overall I’m very happy with them

Awesome upgrade! Easy to install, adjustment wrench comes with them. I lowered them due to I got 3 inches of lift. Seem to a difference in coil springs as they have more clearance between the spring and upper control arm. Debated these over the bilstein 6112. Over all happy with the ride quality. Front of the truck doesn’t dive much on braking and firmer on hard bumps. Truck feels more stable and doesn’t sway anymore.

Customer Question When adjusting these coilovers, is there an easy way to measure the amount of lift prior to installation? In other words, if I measure the exposed threads does that translate to a specific lift height?

Asked by: Tony - 8/3/2023
Customer Answer Eibach does not provided measurements for certain heights, but they do mention no going beyond 90mm from the bottom of the collar to the base which would be the max height recommended.

Customer Question how much preload do you need to achieve a 3" lift?

Asked by: ziggy - 1/25/2023
Customer Answer There is no set amount, due to the differences in curb weight with the different engine models, submodels, and packages. Our suggestion is to see where the coilovers are after their initial install, and then increase ride height gradually from there, depending on where you're at.

Customer Question Comparing these to the Boss Aluma 2.0, both set at 2.5 inches how would each ride on road and on mild off road trails?

Asked by: Tony - 4/30/2022
Customer Answer We have not ran the Boss Aluma series ourselves, so we can't really say for certain. On paper, they would probably be pretty similar on the street. The Alumna's may have an edge off-road, due to using aluminum bodies with better heat dissipation, but it's tough to say.

Customer Question Hi! How would you compare these to the Bilstein 6112 in terms of on pavement and offroad ride quality?

Asked by: Moe - 4/13/2022
Customer Answer We have not tried the Eibach 2.0s personally, as of yet. On paper, a lot depends on where you set the Eibach's ride height. At their maximum height, the Bilstein 6112s would probably have a softer street ride. I'd probably argue that the Eibach's would be a bit better off-road due to their stiffer spring rates.

Customer Question What’s the clearance like with sticks UCAs? Would you recommend an aftermarket UCA if I will be using these set for 2.5” of level?

Asked by: Max N - 3/20/2022
Customer Answer Generally, if you're going to be at or above 2.5" of leveling, we tend to recommend UCAs. That being said, if you're primarily driving on the street, you may be able to get away with the factory UCAs with limited chances of UCA/spring contact.

Customer Question How would you compare these to a Bilstein 5100 with stock spring as far as ride quality? 99% of my usage is pavement so I don't want an extremely stiff ride.

Asked by: Justin - 5/6/2021
Customer Answer At their out-of-the-box ride heights, the Eibach 2.0s are a bit stiffer than the 5100s. If you were to crank the Eibach 2.0s down to the 2" of ride height provided by the Bilsteins, the difference is probably pretty negligible.

Customer Question Do these deliver a smoother/softer ride than the Eibach Pro Truck Stage 1 kit? I have the Pro Truck Stg1 and the ride is too bouncy/firm and you feel every bump in the road. Which would provide a smoother/softer ride, replacing with the 2.0 Coilovers or swapping the Pro Truck kit back to the factory springs and setting the Eibach shocks to the max 2in setting?

Asked by: John - 2/16/2021
Customer Answer We have not yet tried the Eibach 2.0 Coilovers out for ourselves as of yet, so it's tough to say for certain. In theory, the Eibach 2.0 Coilovers will ride a tad softer at their max ride height versus the Pro-Truck shocks. Frankly, before jumping into an entirely new set of coilovers, you may want to see where the Pro-Trucks are set. If you're using them with the Eibach Pro-Truck Springs, the snap ring should be on the lowest ride height setting. Secondly, you may want to check your tire inflation, especially if you jumped up to LT All-Terrains or Mud-Terrains. Personally, I don't inflate my truck's tires beyond 45psi to maintain some ride quality.

Customer Question Hi, Does it fit for 2018 F-150 V8 5.0 L 4WD? On Eibach.com , it suppose to fit on V6 3.5L 4WD? Thank Martin

Asked by: Martin - 9/12/2020
Customer Answer These coilovers will fit all 2015-2020 F150 4WDs, regardless of engine option, though your total ride height will vary somewhat, due to the different curb weights.

Customer Question Are you able to adjust the pre-load / ride height on the truck or do you need to remove them to accomplish that? If not, what series 2.0 or 2.5 coil-overs can be adjusted on the vehicle? Thanks

Asked by: Cazo - 5/11/2020
Customer Answer We aren't entirely sure yet. We're hoping to get a set in here for our own fitment testing. In all likelihood, even if you can adjust them on the truck, it'll probably be too big of a pain to be practical. Elka's 2.0s and ICON's 2.5s can be adjusted on truck, but it is a right pain.

Customer Question How do these differ from the Eibach pro truck combo? Is it just the adjustability? Also what would be a good (reasonably pirced) UAC to match with these or the pro trucks?

Asked by: Chet P. - 4/25/2020
Customer Answer Adjustability is a big factor, especially since the coilovers have more of a range than the Pro-Truck's snap ring settings. The 2.0 coilovers are also built a lot tougher than the Pro-Truck shocks thanks to their billet upper and lower mounts instead of a welded lower and reusing the stock upper. The valving is also a bit different, and the spring uses a different spring rate to give you a bit better performance and handling.
