With the low volume of the stock intercooler, some of the hot air is likely to pass through to the engine without being properly cooled. The 2021-2022 Bronco 2.7L Whipple Stage 1 Kit was designed to maximize the power of your 2021-2023 Ford Bronco 2.7L EcoBoost using 91 octane fuel or higher. Yet, you can still maintain a safe driving experience for everyday driving. The calibration tool can maximize your engine's performance no matter if you are cruising, towing, or off-road driving. Along with this premium tool, you get revised pedal mapping for increased power under the curve, an increased speed limit up to 120mph, updated shift points for an increased RPM range, an updated shift schedule, and deactivation of the auto start/stop feature. You can still maintain each of the drive modes and the included Tomahawk flash tool allows for easy uploading and downloading of Whipple files that read/erase trouble codes and view live data to log it for future adjustments. Of the components included in this kit, none are more important to the power of your Bronco's engine than the Whipple Mega Cooler. This intercooler features an offset fin on both the cold and hot sides that produces 14 FPI of airflow on the cold air side. With this feature, you get more cooling capacity with a 58% total increase in volume over the stock unit. All of this cooling ability comes in a stock packaging that performs much better with a more premium tube and 144% larger external fin. To ensure you are getting the highest flow possible, this mega cooler features cast aluminum tanks that provide unmatched cooling and a low pressure drop through the core. The benefits of having this cooled air into your Bronco's EcoBoost is getting more consistent power from your supercharger and more consistent recovery. Doing so makes using this type of engine power safer and prevents engine robbing detonation. Whipple intercoolers are tested under different extreme conditions to ensure that they will perform when you need it most. These intercoolers are specifically designed to produce bigger power gains during real world applications. What puts this kit over the top is the washable and reusable 8-layer cotton air filter. The special blue oil and cotton material is less restrictive than the factory paper filter allowing for 17.9% more airflow and an overall increased flow capacity.
