The 2011–2025 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks mark more than a decade of progress in Ford’s heavy-duty lineup, blending brute force with modern refinement. The 2011 debut of the in-house 6.7L Power Stroke diesel was a turning point, delivering class-leading torque and efficiency. Through 2016, Ford refined cooling, transmissions, and towing systems, building confidence for both work and recreation. In 2017, the Super Duty was fully redesigned with a boxed steel frame and aluminum body, cutting weight while increasing strength and capability.
From 2017 to 2025, Ford pushed even harder. Gas options ranged from the 6.2L V8 to the newer 6.8L and the 7.3L “Godzilla,” giving buyers simple, cost-effective, payload-friendly choices. The 6.7L Power Stroke diesel climbed from 925 lb-ft in 2017 to more than 1,200 lb-ft in 2025 High-Output form, setting industry benchmarks for towing and hauling. The F-250 balanced everyday usability with work-truck strength, while F-350 dual-rear-wheel models became the standard for max payload and fifth-wheel towing.
Interiors evolved from basic, work-ready cabins to luxury-grade spaces with SYNC infotainment, digital clusters, adaptive cruise, and premium materials. The Tremor off-road package, launched in 2020, added factory lift, 35-inch tires, and tuned suspension for buyers wanting trail capability without sacrificing towing.
