Leveling Kits for F250 & F350 Super Duty: What You Need to Know

Since the 1990's, leveling kits have been one of the most cost-effective and popular suspension upgrades for the F250 and F350 Super Duty trucks. Whether you're looking to clear larger tires, eliminate factory rake, or give your truck a more aggressive stance without diving into a full lift, a leveling kit is a practical first step. Spacer Leveling Kits: Affordable and Effective

Spacer kits are by far the most budget-friendly way to level out the front of your Super Duty. These kits use either steel or billet aluminum spacers that sit above the factory coil springs (for coil-sprung trucks) or on top of the strut assembly in newer setups. Most F250 and F350 spacer kits range from 1.5 to 2.5 inches of lift in the front, which is typically enough to eliminate rake and allow for larger tires.

What can you fit?

• A 2-inch front spacer will generally allow you to run up to a 35x12.50" tire on stock wheels, or aftermarket wheels with mild offsets.
• If you’re pushing into the 2.5" range, you may be able to squeeze in 37s, but fender trimming and careful offset selection become critical.
• A 1.5" spacer kit is usually best suited for those sticking to 34s or narrow 35s without rubbing or extensive modifications.

While spacer kits are great for budget builds, upgrading to a full replacement coil spring or coilover setup can give you added ride quality and off-road capability. Performance coil springs not only level your truck but also offer better support for heavy bumpers or winches. Coilovers take it a step further by combining lift, damping, and ride height adjustability into a single, high-performance unit. If your Super Duty is a daily driver that occasionally tows or hits the trails, upgraded coil springs can smooth out the ride without breaking the bank. For more aggressive off-road setups, 2.5" coilovers with remote reservoirs and custom valving deliver superior control, damping, and long-term durability.

Don’t Forget the Rear: Blocks & Leaf Springs

Leveling the front is only half the equation. Depending on your desired stance and how much weight your truck typically hauls, it’s worth looking at the rear suspension too. Many owners pair front leveling kits with taller rear blocks to maintain factory rake for towing, while others install add-a-leafs or full replacement leaf spring packs for improved load support and reduced sag under heavy payload.

• Taller rear blocks are an easy, bolt-on option to add 1-2 inches of rear lift and maintain towing geometry.
• Add-a-leaf kits are a solid middle ground as they increase capacity without the cost of a full spring pack.
• Full leaf spring upgrades are ideal for trucks with constant bed weight, campers, or gooseneck setups.
