Aggressive Gears for 37" or Larger Tires

Massive off-road tires can really slow your truck down, and not just through their weight. Big 37" or larger tires screw up your truck's final drive ratio and can make it extremely sluggish off the line and mess up its shifting. This set of 4.88 ring and pinion gears from Motive Gear moves your truck's powerband back into much more optimal range, even when you've thrown on extremely big tires, which then gets you the off-road and on-road pavement that your 4WD 2004 to 2022 F150 really needs to stomp all over its competition. These 4.88 gears are aggressive, but will be some of your truck's best friends when you jump up to enormous wheels and tires. Give the extreme;y aggressive drive ratio, these gears are not recommended for trucks with factory tires or for pure street vehicles.

High-Grade, Heavy-Duty CNC Machined Gear Steel

Motive's ring and pinion gears are each manufactured out of high-strength, high-quality materials and are designed for a great fit. The gears are CNC machined from extremely strong 8620 gear steel that is then heat-treated to ensure maximum rigidity and strength. Both the ring and pinion are built to near-OEM specs and will deliver low, factory-levels of noise in almost any application.

For Ford 8.8" IFS Front Ends only: these gears will only fit Ford 8.8" Reverse-cut IFS Front Ends built from 2004 to 2022. We strongly recommend using one of Motive's Master Install Kits when putting these gears on your vehicle.

Matching rear gears required: these gears require matching 4.88 rear end gears to preserve drivetrain operation and reliability.
