This is what the truck should have been like when I bought it! The ride lost the floatiness, but gained smoothness. On good roads it is a plush ride, on bad roads it is a smooth and controlled ride. The handling has lost the bobbing and weaving - and I now feel in control. All in all, the fox stage 1 package is excellent and a huge improvement over stock. I was very disappointed in the ride and handling of my stock truck - I now look forward to driving it!

These shocks are great and offer a good amount of control over the stock shocks. Installation was easy, I didn't have to use the instructions as I've done an install in the past. Rear shocks are a very simple install. Front shocks are easy to install without removing the hub or loosing the lower control arm bolts. Just disconnect the upper ball joint and the sway bar links. The ride is less boat like than the stock shocks, I feel more planted to the road when turning. This is mostly to do with the rear shocks being a fair amount stiffer than stock. They don't come close to contacting the the upper control arm at full droop, I know some people were concerned about this. The only issue I have with them is that they gave me about 2.25 of lift, which pretty much used up all my up travel, So when coming over a speed bump or going into any type of dip/pothole I find the suspension tops out really quickly and makes a bang noise. My plan is to run a 1/2 lift spacer on the top of the coil and loosen the preload to lower the coilover to be about 1.5 of lift. This will increase my up travel (which I am aware will put more stress on the balljoints)but should reduce if not get rid of the top out problem. One of the coils is touching the top hat a tad, but it isnt causing any problems at this time, and I think reducing the preload will fix it because the amount of preload out of the box is making the coils bow out to one side a bit. All in all it's a great kit for the price and at 2.25 I am sitting almost dead level. The rear of my truck is 1/3 higher than the front.

This suspension set up is perfect for getting rid of the rear end side-hop that some new F150s have stock. I'm mainly a street driver and the shocks feel great. They are a little stiffer than my stock FX4 shocks. They leveled the truck perfectly and I fit 295/70-17s (33) with no rubbing. Stage3 was great! I recieved my parts fast!

Was noisy at first (bed spring sound only over speed bumps), but after the first week, was quiet. Also, initially the ride was very firm to the point that I wasn't sure I was going to like, but after about 1,000 miles they settled in very nicely. Controlled ride, less roll and what I was looking for. I also installed 305/55-20 BFG KO2 and 20 x 9 (+20mm) and no rubbing. Highly recommend for slightly increases suspension performance and level.

Extremely pleased with the purchase. I paid a shop to do the install, it was a little above the technical difficulty I was capable of doing myself. The ride difference is tough to judge because I put on bigger 34 all terrain Falken tires. I did take the truck out on the dirt and was impressed with the off road capability. I do have some rubbing. I went with 295/70r18 Falken's which measure 34.4 but it doesn't seem to be doing anything major.

These are outstanding shocks! The whole install took 1.5 hours with Lift and impact tools. I originally bought the rough country 2 inch leveling kit and returned for the shocks. The ride is amazing both on and off Road; however, the steering is a little lighter and an alignment was required. Stage three motorsports price was the best I found anywhere.

I now have a little over 1,000 miles on this kit. Fit and finish of the kit was excellent, and the installation following stage 3's videos and a couple videos related to the IWE's was straight-forward. I installed these as they came out of the box and immediately after install I gained about 2.5-3" of lift up front which settled to about 2.5" after a short drive. After about 300 miles the front end settled down to 2" of lift up front and I had an alignment performed. For reference I am running load range C KO2's in 285/70/R17. I did this upgrade at 75,000 miles on the truck. After a little over 1000 miles and a bunch of mixed driving, I think the ride is basically comparable to stock on the road, however, the handling of the truck is much improved. I just got back from a trip to Vermont driving through the winding roads in the ADK's and the truck was downright planted and controlled. The uncontrolled back end skittering out over mild washboard or broken pavement/dirt is much improved, not totally eliminated, but it is much more stable. So why am I giving just three stars (if I could I'd give it 3.5)? On rutted dirt roads and harsher terrain, I just wasn't all that impressed with the performance of these shocks - this may be from what my expectations were ahead of time, but the shocks just don't smooth out this type of terrain all that much. Going over bumps that are proud of the surrounding road the suspension soaks up pretty well - I'd say 20% better then stock for reducing impacts to the cabin. Where this kit seems to just fall flat on it's face are potholes, rather than smooth out the pothole, the truck now seems to drop down and crash through the pothole, this performance I'd say is maybe even worse than stock. I am open to suggestions for how to address this issue in droop performance, maybe the amount of pre-load is too high and can should be reduced, or maybe a set of BDS UCA's would provide additional droop travel that would improve the ride over potholes. I am up for suggestions and if improvement can be had I would increase my rating. All in all, I don't think it's a bad upgrade to consider if you are like me and at the end of life for the OEM shocks, but if you have a brand new truck with fresh shocks, it might be a bit on the pricey side for what I would say isn't a huge performance improvement. The biggest difference is on-road handling - that is quite good now.

I installed the kit as is, no adjustments made to the front and rear suspensions and components. First impression, very firm and harsh! It does improve cornering stability and provides quicker turn-in. I wanted to give it several hundred miles before writing a review. While the overall ride quality has somewhat improved, the ride remains firm and bouncy in general, and harsh in certain instances (not exaggerating). For example, the front end of the truck falls flat on its face as if there was no suspension installed while going over speed bumps (5-10 mph). The suspension unusually does not soak up wide expansion joints and unleveled pavement on highways/freeways well. I know what I'm experiencing is uncommon, which leads me to believe that the set I received is somewhat damaged or not within specs. I contacted Stage 3 Motorsports for recommendations, and I was asked to contact Fox. I then contacted Fox to share my experience and for guidance. The only solution is to send it to Fox so that it can be evaluated. Well, that won't work since the truck is my daily driver, and I no longer have the OEM suspension. Overall, I would not recommend this kit, and I will no longer be purchasing any Fox products in the future. Stage 3 has been good to deal with as far as the transaction but offered no other solutions.

The quality in ride and handling is so much more comfortable with the way the Fox stage 1 suspension recovers. The front of the truck raised two inches, the rear of the truck raised .2 inches. To counter this I've decided to put a Halo 2.5 rear block for better water drainage. Definitely would recommend to anybody especially when this will cause other components to last longer with the suspension absorbing more. 5 stars hands down

After a significant shipping delay (10 weeks), I was able to install the front coil overs and rear shocks in a morning with a few buddies (~5 hours in total). We were guided by the basic written instructions which were included with the suspension and several youtube videos (including one very comprehensive video from a competing retailer). The coil overs were set at the same height and probably added 1-2 to the front end of the truck. The installation process for the coil overs was straight forward and, in addition to a the basic tools, required a bit of muscle and relocation of the jack at a few instances. The rear shock installation process was also simple and benefited greatly by the use of a nylon strap which we used compress and hold the shock to the right length for installation. Following the install, I took the truck into the Ford service center to check alignment and our work and an alignment was not required. I've only driven 20 miles on the new suspension so can't comment on the ride or provide any long-term views, but the perceived quality of the product, installation process and leveled look of the truck all get 5 stars. The delivery delay was frustrating and Stage3 offered to provide a refund, which I appreciated.

Needed new tires for 2016 F150 and wanted to bump up from 31" to 33", so pulled trigger on Fox Stage 1 Package. Coilovers didn't match when received, different stickers, different main stud lengths, etc. Ryan with Stage 3 made good, and exchanged for two matching coilovers. Installed coilovers and got 3" plus lift in front and ride was harsh. Contacted Fox and springs were correct length 13.25". My truck is SuberCab aluminum, 2.7L EcoBoost, so probably one of the lighter F150s. Fox instructed me to adjust collars 1/2" which will result in 1" decrease in lift. Removed coilovers and took them to local shop to adjust. They boogered up the paint on springs a little, but got over that when I put back on truck and got 2" lift in front exactly, and ride was smooth. Then went ahead and installed Halo 2.25" block for 1" increase in lift in back over factory 1.25" block. I wanted to lift the front more than back, but wanted to keep some rake so it will level out when I load up the bed. Then installed Fox rear 2.0 shocks which didn't change height. Going from 265/70/R17 to BFG KO2 285/70/R17 got me another 1" almost in both front and back. So adding up the math got almost 3" in front, and little more than 2" in back. Overall happy with the package, but I'm guessing all F150s don't weigh the same, or the coilover springs have different strengths, either way be prepared to remove from truck and adjust if necessary.

S3 Shipping was quick. Watch a few videos and cut out an afternoon/evening to do-it yourself. An extra hand is helpful for front struts. I did mine at 55k miles and the rear OE shocks were in need of replacing. After install, the truck is more planted in turns and no more wiggle going over RR tracks at med/high speeds. You do feel it a bit more on slow speed bumps, but the stance and added clearance makes up for that, and the wife had no complaints as to the “new” ride. Be prepared to have an alignment done immediately after install and if you tow/haul, research adding a rear block/leaf/bags etc. to alleviate rear end sag. Curious to see how they hold up through a few Northern Illinois winters.

Good quality product. Love the ride vs stock. Takes the empty can noise out of the truck when going over bumps. Down smooth roads has a stock like feel, with a more planted ride quality. Have not had offroad yet. Lifted the front to be level with rear. Install was easy but I'm also a mechanic by trade. Had issue with LF coilover and 2 of the mounting studs spun before they hit the torque spec. They're tight just, just not torque tight. I had the coilover in at this point and didn't remove to see what the issue was. If your truck has 60k + miles I would definitely get this kit. But don't install on a brand new truck IMO. Wait until your factory suspension is worn out! Thanks Stage 3! Made some more room for my 33's.

First I would like to thank Stage3 for the great price and fast shipping on these parts. Install took me and my buddy 3 hours total. Not a bad job if you have air tools and a couple of pry bars. Toughest part is getting the factory coils out due to the long studs that go into the lower control arm. We just cut them down and coils came right out with a little prying. The ride is unbelievable compared to the stock setup (junk). Truck sits about 3/4 of a inch higher in the rear and the stance looks great.

I’m happy to provide more details, but long story short is that you may install these and never have an issue. I, however, had a rear shock fail after 3 months, despite never going off road or towing/hauling anything, and the service or replacement process has been a nightmare. Parts sometimes fail, and that can’t be helped, and you justify spending more for a product because of the support you get when that happens. If I could go back to when I first saw the leak, I would have just thrown out both shocks and put something else on, weeks ago.

Love the truck but since the day I bought it new the rear always wanted to step-out when hitting bumps on the freeway and that has all come to an end. The factory suspension is no comparison to the Fox, my next new truck will have this equipment added before I leave the dealership. First off and the good thing is this is my second set of Fox 2.0 on my F150, as other reviews say and I would agree they make the ride of the truck more planted and less bouncy compared to stock shocks. I would say the ride quality is overall improved less roll and not as boatish of a ride. The Bad: installation of them was a little more than a pain compared to the videos, I had to put the bottom bolt holders on the strut in a vice and twist it perfectly horizontal with the bottom control arm of the truck. Not the end of the world but more of a hassle I would think for a premium product it would come lined up. Plus the provided hardware is non coated zinc bolts which rust out, mine came off but I could see how they could become a solid piece of rust. As for lifespan I would agree with other reviews that they last 50-60k miles I ran my first set picture included till 80k when oil started leaking everywhere and they were completely shot. This is on Michigan roads about 90% highway. Overall without comparing to other brands I’m still happy with them (hence bought them again) plus they look great on the truck leveled. *for reference duratrac tires on F-150 also

I don’t normally write reviews, but I was hoping that maybe I could assist someone that was in the same predicament I was from the onset. I was torn between adding a spacer or a coil over leveling kit. I wanted to go with the coil over leveling kit but I was being cheap and almost opted for the spacers. My wife was actually the one that told me to quit being cheap and do it right. After replacing the coil overs, the ride of the truck was incredibly better. My wife who thought the truck drove horribly before, was absolutely impressed by the ride quality after. Needless to say, I was to. I couldn’t be happier with my decision; $1000 I wish I spent when I bought the truck. A person I work with has the same truck and went with the spacers. He was telling me the ride went from bad to worse after installing them. After riding in my truck, he immediately said he was going to order them that night. I did a ton of pricing and after speaking with other shops locally, I was told if I could find them in stock I should get them since they’re back ordered all over the country. Nobody could complete with the price from Stage3 regardless. They arrived two days after I placed the order. Truck went from 2” lower in the front to 1/3” higher in the front. Can’t tell by looking but the tape don’t lie. I’m running 275/70/18 Yokohama Geolander M/Ts, on stock rims. Simpletire.com had prices that couldn’t be beat. If I were to do anything different, I’d go 295/70/18 but that’s it. Bottom line, buy them, and do it from Stage3, don’t wait, it’s absolutely worth the money. Only about $2K in and I have the look and feel I always wanted. I’m kind of kicking myself for not doing it when I bought the truck. Hope this helps.

This is an awesome kit! The install was very simple, and the Fox shocks and struts are a major upgrade from the stock components. I made the mistake of going the cheap route at first and just used 2" spacer blocks to lift the truck - the ride was horrible and caused tire cupping problems! This kit from Fox is incredible. The ride is definitely stiffer than stock - but that does not mean "rougher" - its smooth, and body roll around turns is nearly eliminated. I installed them as they came out of the box and did not adjust ride height, but I'm very happy with the stance of the truck! I highly recommend this product!

Overall a great shock. I removed some Bilsteins and put these on, and the truck looked great with a leveled stance in the front. Installation was easy enough and straight forward. 1K miles later, the ride was very soft and but bouncy, with much more body roll compared to the stiffer Bilsteins. Off-road, they are great and soak up the smaller bumps well. I gave them 4 out of 5 stars for handling. I would buy again.

I was pretty excited for these after reading all the great reviews, however, these are not all they are hyped up to be. After installation, I noticed the front end felt much firmer than stock. Figured maybe they would settle after a few hundred miles... Nope. Still pretty stiff. After a few thousand miles and a few offroading adventures, I started noticing a lot of vibration and terrible "clunking" noises whenever I would hit a bump in the road. Sometimes it would feel as if someone would grab my steering wheel and yank it out of my hands (depending on the severity of the bump). Finally, after about 4 months having these installed, I decided to take out the front coilovers (while installing new UCA's) and have them adjusted down (I didn't like how stiff they were set at the max height). The shop I took them to found that the upper bushings on the coilovers were shot, which explains the excessive vibration and terrible ride quality. I contacted Stage 3 but they couldn't do much for me. So I contacted Fox. They asked for some details and photos and then agreed to send me a new set of bushings. I have yet to get the new bushings installed, but hoping these ones last more than 4 months!

I purchased my F-150, 5.0L Coyote, August of 2021, with 81K miles. To make it mine......as my first major visual upgrade I wanted to add a level kit and tires. I chose to use my OEM upgraded 20" wheels. I'm a research kinda guy. So after extensive research and talking with others that had made the same upgrade, I elected to go with the FOX 2.0 Stage 1 package. Front and rear. My truck is used primarily as my daily commuter to work and home. I'm blessed to only drive 8 miles one way to work. However, I immediately noticed an improved ride (mostly while transitioning from one road surface into a driveway), Because of where we live, we encounter gravel, mountainous terrain, etc.., so that's why I elected to spend the extra $ and am very pleased with my decision and would highly recommend to others.

Install was very easy. I did the entire install in my driveway in just under 2 hours. The struts go in much easier than the factory ones come out. The lower control arm bolts seem a little cheap and could use better washers. Ride quality is honestly about the same as OEM on road. If I hit railroad tracks it is a bit more stable. Off road on the sand dunes it soaks up the bumps and woops very well. Leveled it right out and it looks great.

I was able to use my HF spring compressors and had no issues adjusting them. Whole job all the way around 2-1/2 hours taking my time. It initially raised 2” with the adjustment. 100 miles in it now sits right at 1-1/2 raise and dead level with the rear. Ride is stellar. No extra hops anymore. She grabs corers and hold on. No more body roll. The really large bumps might be firmer, but all the small stuff is just soaked up with no rebound.

Definitely an upgrade!! It had the OEM shocks and aside from appearance, it's definitely an upgrade. I haven't had them in for long and I'm already noticing a difference in comfort and performance. If you're going through different forums, websites and videos researching which leveling kit you want, look no further. The rear I did myself and note to fellow first timers, if you install them with a full tank, expect the truck not to sit level at first. You'll notice the difference from the rear passenger vs rear drivers side. Allow the shocks to settle. I thought I installed them wrong but I just haven't had the experience yet. You don't need to jack up the truck either, just climb underneath and get to work. I did it in the parking lot of my appartment complex.

Fox did a great job putting this together. The install was easy and smooth. I ended up netting 2 1/2 inches of total lift with the coils overs at the factory setting! The preload made the shocks almost maxed out and the ride was very stiff and the shocks bottomed out going over speed bumps. I ended up taking it back apart and adjusting the coils down 3/4 of and inch. I really liked the ride after the adjustment and netted 1 3/4 of an inch. My truck is a 3.5L crew cab 6’7” bed. I have been running this setup for about a month now. Install was as expected, pretty straight forward and all parts fit perfectly. The ride is much stiffer than stock! At high speeds on the freeway when you hit a dip or especially when you hit a dip in a curve the truck sucks it up and stays very stable. Hard cornering the truck stays flat no body roll. At low speeds you feel all the small bumps. Defiantly not as comfortable for around town driving, especially in California where our roads are terrible. I have only done a little off road driving. Same characteristics, going slow through a field/pasture felt pretty jarring and stiff. Higher speeds on gravel road felt controlled and stable. Over all the handling performance outweighs the less comfortable ride for me.

Customer Question Looking to install this kit on my 2021 Powerboost. I've read that this is the kit to use instead of the 2021-2024 version because of the added weight of the Powerboost engine. Just confirming that is correct and that this will give 2" of front lift out of the box and does not need adjusting?

Asked by: Cole - 3/29/2025
Customer Answer Yes, this would be the recommended kit for both the Powerboost and 5.0L engine applications on the 2021+ F150 due to their heavier weights. You will be much closer to the 2" mark using this kit as the 2021+ Fox 2.0 coilovers have a much lighter spring rate and would not support the powerboost platform well.

Customer Question What's serviceability like? Can i get these rebuilt, and what's the service interval? thank you

Asked by: cody - 1/27/2025
Customer Answer Fox does offer service options for their shocks where you can arrange to send your shocks in for service, as well as you can check with local suspension shops to see if they have the ability to rebuild the fox 2.0. The type of driving you do will highly change the recommended interval, but for normal street driving, the shock should last 30-40k, but if you do off-road, you could see service interval as low as 15k depending on the type of off-roading you do. Depending on cost, many people will just purchase new shocks when it comes to most manufacturer's 2.0 series shocks due to the labor/part cost being so close to the same price as purchasing new replacements.

Customer Question I have this fox stage 1 kit, and now factory upper control arm needs replacement. I’m wanting to possibly go lower not up. Will these coilovers go down? What will I need for the rear? Thank you

Asked by: gixxerhoff750 - 9/22/2024
Customer Answer Fox does not recommend changing the ride height of their Fox 2.0 coilovers, but they do have some adjustability. They do have threads on the shock body and can adjust some down if you wanted to slightly change ride height. You would need to remove the coilovers from the truck and compress the spring to avoid damaging the threads on the body as they are not designed to be adjusted on the truck.

Customer Question Do you need to replace UCAs in order to get proper alignment and not prematurely wear out your tires?

Asked by: At - 2/6/2024
Customer Answer Replacing the uca with one designed for level/lift kits, or by replacing the stock camber bolts with aftermarket caster/camber bolts are how you can get assistance in getting the alignment back within spec to prevent abnormal tire wear. Aftermarket UCA also have other benefits like improving the upper ball joint angles so the suspension doesn't bind, as well as giving the spring more room so you don't have the spring making contact with the uca at full droop.

Customer Question Bought this kit from Stage 3. Just put them on as they come (preset to 2”). Love the ride but I gained about 2.5” in the front and have no rake. I drove about 50 miles so far. Do these tend to “settle” after driving a while (1,000 miles or so)? Just wondering if I should have the shop adjust them or just wait a while?

Asked by: Chris - 2/9/2023
Customer Answer Ride height can vary to some extent based on engine configuration (2.7L trucks are much lighter than the other options), and the coilovers tend to settle after more drive time. I would give them a bit, and see where they're at after 500 miles or so, and then get them adjusted from there, if need be.

Asked by: Ryan Sharland - 2/3/2023
Customer Answer This kit will not fit on a 4" lift. The rear shocks are not long enough, and the coilovers can only be used in conjunction with the front strut spacers of the lift kit, if the coilovers are set to a 0" front ride height. If you're fine with reusing the Pro Comp strut spacer, the Fox 2.0 front coilovers are available on their own here. A Fox 2.0 rear shock for 4" lifts is right here. Asked by: Jasco - 11/30/2022
Customer Answer This kit would potentially work fine on your truck. The Fox coilovers use a 650lb-in spring, and your factory payload rating won't be affected. That all being said, there's really no "best" solution. Any suspension upgrade is a balance of ride quality, handling, off-road performance, and price. The Fox 2.0s are great, general-purpose options that have good on-road ride quality, better off-road performance than stock, at a good price.

Customer Question If I put this on my 2x4 2019 will it keep my level look without spacers or will I need to lower the spring some

Asked by: Limited - 7/15/2022
Customer Answer Unfortunately, we have not installed these on an RWD truck ourselves as of yet, so we're not 100% sure what your stance will look like. On the 4WD trucks, the coilover's 2" of leveling still leaves some amount of rake, and if anything, you'll likely get closer to a "dead-level" stance on an RWD F150, though some adjustments might be necessary.

Customer Question I have seen these will work on 2021s, is this true? Also can I run a set of shocks like these with a stander spacer in the front?

Asked by: Kevin - 1/11/2022
Customer Answer Fox has not confirmed this kit to work on the 2021-2022 F150s. It's our understanding that Fox will be releasing new coilover part numbers to better work with the revised front suspension geometry on the 2021-2022 F150s. That being said, this kit will physically fit, but we can't guarantee what ride height, ride quality, or potential alignment issues you may run into. We're recommending holding off for Fox to release their 2021-2022 F150 coilovers (and possibly shocks) before ordering.

Customer Question What is tbe average price to have this kit installed on a 2017 4 wheel drive? 2014-2020 F150 4WD FOX 2.0 Stage 1 Suspension Package FOX-14STAGE14WD

Asked by: Mike - 10/16/2021
Customer Answer In general, most shops charge around 1.5 hours for each front coilover and .5 hours for each rear shock. You're generally looking at 4 hours of labor, but your much better bet would be to call around local shops and see what they'll quote in both hours and price.

Customer Question Will this suspension set up allow for me to clear 33”x12.5” tire with a 20” rim that has a -18mm offset? If so, curious if anyone has any pictures of this set up. Thanks.

Asked by: Zach - 9/18/2021
Customer Answer You will likely get some amount of rub when using either a 20x9" or 20x10" wheel with a -18mm offset with a 33x12.50" tire, even with the Fox coilovers set at 2" of ride height.

Asked by: Xavier - 8/18/2021
Customer Answer The front coilovers can be turned down to a 0" factory ride height, though you will need a spring compressor to change ride height on these coilovers, and we strongly recommend using a wall or floor-mount spring compressor.

Customer Question I want to install an aftermarket bumper (about 150lbs) but I would like keep my factory suspension ride height. If I use this Fox 2.0 kit, can I set it to 1 in or so and have the bumper bring it down back to stock ride height? Is this possible with this kit?

Asked by: Sebastian - 6/21/2021
Customer Answer It's absolutely possible. Just keep in mind that the Fox 2.0s aren't the easiest things to adjust and you'll need a wall-mount or floor mount spring compressor to crank them down.

Customer Question I'm currently running bilstein height adjustable struts with 33 inch tires (toyo at3s) on 20 inch wheels, 0 offset. The ride is too stiff at the highest setting. Would this kit improve the ride? Would I still be able to be able to run my 285/60r20 tires?

Asked by: Brock Fields - 5/21/2021
Customer Answer The Fox 2.0s tend to ride a bit nicer at their full 2" ride height than the Bilstein 5100s, however, they will be stiffer than stock. As long as you have the Fox 2.0s set at 2" of height, you should be able to clear that wheel and tire combination.

Customer Question I have 2018 F150 XLT 2WD. Will this fit for my truck.

Asked by: Vu Le - 2/8/2021
Customer Answer This package will bolt up to an RWD 2018 F150. However, the front coilovers will provide slightly more ride height on an RWD F150 than what they're rated for on a 4WD truck, which may be a good or a bad thing depending on what you're doing. Secondly, we recommend using a 1.5" rear block or 4WD take-off block to keep the rear shocks in a more optimal travel range.

Customer Question I'm thinking about getting this for my 2020 F150 Lariat. Eventually I'm wanting to get fuel sledge 18x9 -12mm offset wheels and bfg k02 tires. What's the biggest size I could fit with no rubbing or trimming with this kit and those wheels? Would 305/65R18 work?

Asked by: Sam - 2/4/2021
Customer Answer A 305/65R18 would require you to trim with your intended wheel. If you go with a -12mm offset on a 9" wide wheel and 4.5" backspace, you're going to be pretty limited if you want to avoid trimming, since the offset and backspacing will push the apex of the tire out to where the wheel well curves back in. If you want to avoid all chances of rubbing and trimming, the biggest tire we recommend is a 33x11.50" or close metric equivalent, i.e. a 295/65R18, 275/70R18, etc.

Customer Question I have a 2011 f150 the places I go hunting are 20 miles back in the woods on rocky roads. I want a set up that I can go 25mph or more on the roads without destroying my suspension. When I’m not in the woods I am towing quite a bit and have airbags installed for the back. Would this kit help me off road and not limit my towing and hauling capabilities?

Asked by: Stew - 11/8/2020
Customer Answer This particular kit only fits 2014-2020 F150s. The version for 2009-2013 F150s is here. As for your application, it really depends on how often you're going to be heading out on those roads a year. If you're just heading out once or twice a year for a deer or elk tag, then the Fox 2.0s should be fine. If you're going out fairly often on your own property or for other game, you may actually want to consider 2.5s just so that you get better long-term durability. You may also want to consider a set of UCAs. As for towing, this package does not effect your truck's GVWR or GCWR. The only potential towing-related issue is the fact that the coilovers add front ride height, which will result in more rear squat when loaded. However, since you already have an air spring kit, you won't have issues.

Asked by: Tone - 9/16/2020
Customer Answer The Fox 2.0s only level to 2" of ride height, so you'll end up losing some lift, which may result in some rub if you aren't currently getting any. If you've already trimmed for the tires, you may not issues.

Customer Question Will this Bolt onto a 2014 F150 XLT 3.5 2wd.. if so will the stock UCA be ok? should I add a 1.5 block to the rear if so?

Asked by: darkblend - 6/17/2020
Customer Answer This kit will physically bolt up to an RWD F150, though you will get more ride height out of them than what they're rated for on the 4WD trucks. The stock UCAs will probably be fine if your truck's primarily used on the street. If you are off-roading and articulating the suspension, you may want to consider UCAs. We do recommend using either a 1.5" rear block or 4WD take-off rear blocks with the rear shocks to keep them in an optimal travel range.

Asked by: Daniel Emerick - 4/15/2020

Customer Question Im looking at the level look rather than off road performance. Having the ability to have off road still essential. What package has a smoother on road ride? Fox, Icon, Falcon, Billstein, or Boss?

Asked by: Mike - 4/2/2020
Customer Answer It's probably a toss-up between either Fox and the Falcons. The only issue with both of these is that they only add up to 2" of leveling, which still leaves you a smidge of rake. Technically, 2.5" of leveling gets your truck closest to a dead-level stance. If you're fine with 2" of leveling, then Fox or Falcon are your best bets.

Am I safe to run a 33 x 11.5 tire? The truck sees little offroad. Will this combination work or do I have to get the stage 2 kit with the UCA's? Thank you

Asked by: Duston - 2/21/2020
Customer Answer If you're using a true 33x11.50" tire, you'll likely be fine with the Fox 2.0s at their max 2" ride height with those wheels. You might see a hint of rub when turning and articulating at the same time, but nothing drastic during normal off-road driving. You may have issues with some 33x11.50" metric equivalents or tires that have big shoulder lugs along with the section width. Your best bet would be to call us directly at 623-434-5277 so we can get more specific about what tire you're planning to run.

Customer Question Just had my dealer install the Roush edition. Picked the truck up before closing and they had the shocks upside down.. I flipped them around today. The manual says the bushings need about an eighth of an inch preload, and not too over tighten. It also states to see the vehicle manual for torque settings. To the best of my knowledge, a 19 F150 torque setting is 66 foot pounds. Using the torque wrench 66 seemed too tight? I didn't use the torque wrench and just tightened them down firmly... should this be ok or should I torque these to 66? Thanks.

Asked by: jason rathgeber - 12/18/2019
Customer Answer According to my shop manual, 66lb-ft is the torque value for both the upper and lower rear shock mounting bolts. The bushing preload recommendation by Fox is a general recommendation for custom builds where you may not have a specific torque value. The manufacturer's specs are more important in this instance.

Asked by: Cam - 12/10/2019

Customer Question will these work with a 6in lift kit 2016 f150

Asked by: victor - 11/23/2019
Customer Answer The front coilovers could potentially be used on a 6" lift kit with a strut spacer, but they're not long enough to be used in a standalone applications and you'll need to lower them down to a 0" factory ride height before installing them with strut spacer. However, the rear shocks cannot be used with a 6" lift kit, as they're not long enough to handle the rear blocks included in 6" lifts.

Customer Question Would this kit, combined with an off road pre runner style bumper, allow enough clearance in the front wheel wells to fit stock Raptor wheels and tires?

Asked by: mace - 11/18/2019
Customer Answer That will depend on the specific bumper and your truck's exact model year. On a 2014 F150 with the right bumper, you'll likely be fine. A 2015-2019 F150 will also need its front crash bars removed.

Customer Question Even with these already set at 2” in the front out of the box. Can you use a wrench to increase even more?

Asked by: Garrett - 6/30/2019
Customer Answer While there is enough thread to potentially increase ride height more, you do end up increasing spring preload, which can add some stiffness to your ride quality. The coilovers also do not need a wrench for adjusting ride height. You will need to compress the spring, then use an allen to remove the lower collar's retaining screw, and then turn the collar by hand.

Customer Question So if this set of shocks was purchased and put on my 2018 F150 2WD/RWD; it would raise my truck about/roughly 2.5” in the front or close to that? I gathered that from other questions asked about this product. Is that safe to assume? I want to level my truck anyway closest to dead level stance so it would actually be better to just install this as is to get close to 2.5” or so leveled on my truck.

Asked by: Jesse - 6/28/2019
Customer Answer On an RWD truck, you'll probably be at 2.25" to 2.5" of total front leveling, though it's hard to say if you'll be perfectly dead-level, since we have not tried this package on an RWD truck ourselves.

Asked by: Banjo - 6/25/2019
Customer Answer Not without trimming in some form or fashion. At only a 2" level, most 35" tire options are going to rub and require trimming, regardless of offset and backspacing, especially if you're looking to run a 35x12.50" tire.

Customer Question I was planning on running this kit on a 2wd F150. I know the 0-2” of lift these are rated at won’t translate over directly to my truck but just how different will these ratings be? I plan on running these at their lowest ride height setting.

Asked by: Bryce - 6/19/2019
Customer Answer You'd only see about 1/2" more ride height than what the Fox 2.0s are rated for on the 4WD trucks, so if you have them set at a 0" ride height, your truck may see an overall gain of .50" of front ride height.

Customer Question I have a ReadyLift 3.5" SST kit on my 2017 F150 crewcab 5.0L. Can I have this kit installed to replace my factory coil overs and rear shocks or no because I already have the 3.5" lift installed?

Asked by: Alex - 5/5/2019
Customer Answer The Fox Stage 1 Kit will not work with the ReadyLift SST System in its entirety. The rear block of the SST system is too tall for the Fox 2.0 rear shocks, and the ReadyLift preload spacer will not fit the Fox 2.0 coilovers. In theory, you can use the coilovers in conjunction with ReadyLift's upper strut spacer, though you will have to lower the Fox 2.0's ride height so that you don't go too high.

Customer Question I want to gain ride quality and smoothness on road is all. My truck has 26" wheels with low prfile tires. Therefore the ride quality is a little stiffer then with the stock 22". I DO NOT want to raise my truck at all. but gain some "cadillac" ride quality.

Asked by: eddie - 2/4/2019
Customer Answer With 26" wheels and thin tires, there's not going to be much ride quality you can feasibly gain, especially on a truck with rear leafs and a solid axle. Cadillac it will not be, no matter what you do. That being said, the Fox 2.0s will likely ride a bit smoother and be more controllable than your stock coilover assemblies and rear shocks. You will need to adjust the Fox coilovers down to a 0" ride height, since they come out of the box preset at 2" of ride height.

Asked by: spence - 1/17/2019
Customer Answer As long as you're willing to trim, you can probably get that tire to fit. However, how much trimming needs to be done and whether you'll need to cut out the front crash bars will depend entirely on the specs of your wheel, specifically its width, backspacing, and offset. A 35x12.50R18 will not clear without some sort of trimming at only 2" of leveling.

You won't be able to clear a 35x12.50R20 without doing at least some amount of trimming, though how much will be dependent on what particular offset and backspacing you're going to go with.

Customer Question Do the rear shocks add 1" themselves, or can they just support an additional 1" in block height with the provided brackets?

Asked by: Bryan - 11/27/2018
Customer Answer The rear shocks do not add any lift, but they are rated to handle 1" of extra lift over stock, which can be provided by a 2.50" rear block kit at the maximum.

Customer Question Currently running a 2.5" spacer in the front and nothing in the back running 35" 12.50 tires. Truck sits perfectly level and i love it, but I want to switch and get something for some better ride quality. My question is will this Kit be able to add 2.5" of lift to the front so that i can keep my 35 12.50 tires?

Asked by: scott - 11/13/2018
Customer Answer The Fox 2.0s are not capable of adding 2.5" of ride height. They are only rated to add 2". If you want to add 2.5" of ride height or more, your better bet would be the Halo Lifts Boss 2.0 Coilovers.

Customer Question what size rear block should be installed to keep a level stance with 2016 f150 4wd truck?

Asked by: reggie - 11/7/2018
Customer Answer It general, it takes a 2.5" level to get the 2016 F150s "dead-level" and the 2" ride height increase provided by the Fox 2.0 coilovers tends to leave a bit of rake. A larger rear block will generally only increase rake.

Customer Question Will a 295/60r20 tire fit with a 20x10 -12 offset wheel?

Asked by: Silverio - 11/7/2018
Customer Answer You'd probably get a bit of valance rub when turning, but the 2" of leveling will let you clear that wheel and tire combination under most normal driving conditions.

Customer Question I want to but a new set of wheels and tires, fuel 20x9 +1 offest and 33x12.5 nitto Ridge grappler. I want to know that if using these coilovers I wont have rubbing issues in any situation, because I dont want to do any trimming. should I get the 2.5 coilovers or 295x55 tires?

Asked by: Luis - 8/28/2018
Customer Answer You will likely get rub with a 12.50" wide tire and a wheel with 5" of backspace. If you want to avoid all rub, you'll probably have to go with a maximum of a 295/60R20, though a 285/60R20 would likely be a safer bet. Going with a coilover that's capable of a taller ride height would help you a bit on your clearances, but you still likely won't be able to clear a 12.50" wide tire with that particular wheel without dealing with at least a little rub.

Customer Question I don't see a package for RWD. Are there any RWD specific parts I should order individually instead?

Asked by: nick - 8/16/2018
Customer Answer Unfortunately, Fox does not have a 4WD-specific package as of yet. That being said, the coilovers and shocks included in this kit will bolt up just fine to an RWD/2WD F150. You'll just get slightly more ride height out of the coilovers than what they're rated for.

Customer Question Looking at this kit and the ready lift 3.5 for my new 2018 Lariat 3.5EB . Still want the rear end up a bit. What is the best tire size and wheel offset(s) that doesn't rub. I am looking at 295/60 285/65 or 285/60 x 20. What are the best offset with these sizes? Looking at Fuel rims. They offer +20 but the style has available +1 and +14.Appreciate the info.

Asked by: Wayne - 7/30/2018
Customer Answer This kit only levels up to 2", so you would not be able to clear a 295/60R20 or a 285/65R20, no matter what wheel you choose unless you're willing to trim. A 285/60R20 should be fine if you stick with either a +20 or +14mm offset on a 9" wide wheel. You'd probably get a smidge of rub with an 01mm offset wheel during turning and articulation, but you'd be fine during normal street driving.

Customer Question I have a 2017 f150 platinum i dont have fx4 pkg, currently have a readylift 2" above coil puck in place, like so many have stated before theses trucks oem suspension like to float a bit.... Im looking to better this, truck is used 70-80% on roads, the other 20% offroads for activities like hunting and pulling camper/quad trailer. My primary focus is to better this trucks suspension on roads/highways, something that will suck up road bumps, washboards and the odd pot hole, from what ive read the Fox setup will compliment this and the boss halo, also worth mentioning the bilstein 5100. Of these three which would you suggest. as well with that i prefer to keep around 2" of front lift, all three of these setups will give me more then that. what it sounds like however to crank these coils up to their max height it comes with a stiffer ride as well loss of suspension travel...is this true? and if so am i better of leaving them a zero setting and keeping the readylift puck in place? I do want about .5-1" forward rake, im thinking im better off doing an 'add a leaf' instead of a block size increase but just a thought. Any help with this will be appreciated. thanks

Asked by: Rico - 7/13/2018
Customer Answer If the off-roading you're doing is limited to fairly well-maintained roads, then the Bilstein 5100s would probably be the more cost-effective choice. If the roads are fairly rough, then either the Fox or the Halo Lifts coilovers would probably be your best bet. The Fox coilovers only go up to 2" of leveling, and that's where they're usually set out of the box. The Halo lifts coilovers are capable of going up to 3" of height, and are usually set at around 2.75" of height out of the box. Neither the Fox nor Halo lifts coilovers are particularly stiff at 2" of height (especially considering that the Halo Lifts coilovers need to be cranked down to hit that height). The Bilstein 5100s can be a little stiff at their 2.10" maximum ride height, but it's far from unbearable. Either an add-a-leaf or a 3" rear block will get you the same amount of ride height, but the add-a-leaf kit adds capacity at some expense of stiffness. Your best bet would be to call us directly at 623-434-5277 so we can get more specific about your truck and what kind of stance you're looking for.

Customer Question I have a 2015 2WD w/ the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Load-Leveling Kit for towing. My goal is to put 33” wheels and add 4.11 rear end gears. Will I have to install the Air Lift Level Universal Air Spring Spacer Kit for 2" of Rear Lift to have a rear rake?

Asked by: Armando - 6/30/2018
Customer Answer The Air Lift Spring Spacer Kit will not add ride height to your truck, and should only be used if you add a rear block or add-a-leaf kit. Only a rear block or add-a-leaf kit will add rear ride height to your truck. Whether you'll need either a block (or what particular size) or add-a-leaf will really depend on how much rear ride height and rake you want to get back after the Fox installation. We haven't tried installing a 4WD coilover kit on a 2WD truck, so we're not sure exactly how much front ride height you'll end up with.

Customer Question I'm looking into this package. I mainly drive pavement with very little off reading. I've read concerns about the uca's and was wondering if it would be necessary in my day to day driving? Also. I want to stick with my 20" wheels but I wanna know the size of tires I could use 33-35"? Thanks for your help.

Asked by: Jason - 6/30/2018
Customer Answer You generally don't have to worry about the stock UCAs at the 2" of leveling that the Fox coilovers provide, even with fairly regular off-roading. If you're doing very little, and that little isn't very aggressive, you likely won't have an issue with your F150's factory upper control arms. The biggest tire we usually recommend for a kit like this is a 33x11.50", though you can potentially go a little bigger or a little wider depending on your wheel widths, offsets, or backspacing. Give us a call directly at 623-434-5277, so we can get more specific about your wheels.

Customer Question I have a 2018 STX SuperCrew 4x4. I want to install raptor take off wheels/tires which I believe are 34.1" (315/70/17). Will they fit with this kit? If not, can I just add a 1/2" spacer up front to get the extra clearance required? If I opt not to add the spacer, could I get away with just trimming some plastic?

Asked by: Drew - 6/25/2018
Customer Answer You'll need to do some trimming regardless whether you add an additional spacer or not. The Raptor tires are both pretty tall and pretty wide, and the Raptor wheels have a large amount of backspace that sucks them against your truck. You'd have to trim your valance as well as your truck's crash bars in order to clear the combination. You could add wheel spacers into the mix in order to avoid trimming your crash bars, but you'd have to do even more valance/wheel well trimming.

Customer Question Is this a good choice for 157" Wheelbase 2018 F150?

Asked by: MTNDOG - 4/13/2018
Customer Answer There's no reason why this kit wouldn't work on a 2018 F150 with a 157" wheelbase. Whether this kit is a good choice depends on a variety of factors (i.e. what kind of ride quality you want, what kind of off-roading you're planning to do, what size tires you're trying to fit, etc.). Customer Question I have 2015 F150 5.0l SuperCrew 4X4, FX4 package with factory 20" Six-Spoke Alloy wheels and would like to add the FOX Stage 1 Suspension package, but would like to know: 1) What are the "REAL" off-road capabilities of this kit or is this kit consider more of an appearance modification? 2) What is the expected mechanical impact as well as an additional wear and tear on the existing manufacturer equipment (UCAs, LCAs, geometry, etc.) 3) In the Q&A you recommend tires up to 33" max, however, tire shop is telling me i could fit 285/65/R20 without any rubbing or hitting anything. I would love to get some extra width even though it is just 1/4", but the 34.6" concerns me after reading your site. Thank you so much in advance for your answers. L.J.

Asked by: L.J. - 3/19/2018
Customer Answer 1). The Fox 2.0s are perfectly adequate for light to moderate off-roading. While they can't run at 60mph through raw desert like a 2.5 coilover, they can handle maintained and semi-maintained forest roads without issues, as well as rutted and washboard trails as long as you watch your speeds and stay under 40mph. 2). While the leveled height of the coilovers does theoretically cause more wear, in our experience, we have not seen a significant drop in the lifespan of the UCAs, LCAs, tie rods, or CVs at 2" of ride height, especially on trucks that are predominantly street vehicles. If you are planning on off-roading fairly often/fairly aggressively, you may want to consider an aftermarket UCA. 3). Our recommended tire size is VERY general, and is due to the fact that we don't always know what wheels folks are going to use which can greatly effect tire size and having to trim. On stock wheels, you can definitely go a little taller than 33", though I'm not sure a 285/65R20 will clear the crash bars when turning at full lock and articulating. You could probably get away with a 285/60R20 or a 295/60R20, however.

Asked by: 2015 LARIAT SCREW - 2/28/2018
Customer Answer We can't guarantee what kind of ride quality you'd get by adding a 1" spacer to this kit. The rear shocks are only rated for 0" to +1" of rear ride height, and it's tough to say how well they'll handle a lowered application.

Asked by: Tony B - 2/26/2018
Customer Answer This Fox Kit would help win you back at least some ride quality, though what isn't helping you is a 22" wheel with an M/T tire that doesn't have a lot of sidewall to absorb their harshness. If you're spending most of your time on the street or highway, your best bet would be to get a set of either A/T or Hybrid tires instead of a Mud-Terrain. While this Fox Kit (or the Bilstein, Eibach, ICON, or other suspension packages) can help your ride quality to some extent, your current wheel and tire combination is not helping you out.

Customer Question What is Maximum tire size with this lift on a 2018 xl single cab short bed? Thanks

Asked by: Danny Smith - 2/15/2018
Customer Answer That's going to depend entirely on what wheels you're using, specifically their widths, offsets, and backspacing as well as what suspension modifications you may be making in the future. In general, we usually recommend a 33x11.50" tire or close metric equivalent in order to avoid rubbing issues with most wheel options. You can get away with both slightly taller and slightly wider tires depending on your wheels and plans. Customer Answer That's going to depend entirely on what wheel you're planning to use (specifically its width, offset, and backspacing) and whether you're going to try to run a set of UCAs in the future. The biggest tire we generally recommend to avoid all rubbing and to set you up for future mods is a 33x11.50" or close metric equivalent. Customer Question I have a 2014 F-150 Platinum 4x4, I'm wanting to purchase this Fox suspension package along with the Icon Upper Control Arms. I currently have 20x9 wheels with 0mm offset & 4.938" backspacing, what are the biggest tires I can use once the Fox 2.0 coilovers and Icon upper control arms are installed?

Asked by: Glenn Lepsik - 12/29/2017
Customer Answer In theory, you could fit a 12.50" wide tire with that wheel and still clear the ICON arms. However, due to the offset of the wheels, you'd likely get some amount of rub with 33x12.50" tire. You could likely do something like a 305/55R20, which should clear for most street driving, though you could still see some rub when you're articulating and turning at the same time.

Asked by: Jesse - 12/20/2017
Customer Answer The coilovers can be be adjusted down to a 0" factory ride height, according to Fox. However, at that point, so much of the preload will be taken off the spring to the point your handling may not be as great as it could be with the coilover at a leveled ride height.

Customer Question Hey guys, how much different will the performance of this kit be to that of the Bilstein 5100 Adjustable Shock Kit? Trying to justify the cost difference. I am just looking to fit a 275/65R20 on stock wheels on my 2015 Fx4. The pricing of the 2" leveling kits is attractive but don't know if I need to jump up to a full lift kit. I don't really want to bring the rear height up much if at all.

Asked by: Nick - 11/12/2017
Customer Answer They are an entirely different design, with the Fox 2.0s being a true coilover while the Bilstein 5100s are just a strut that reuses your factory hardware. In general, The Fox 2.0s will have slightly better on-road ride quality than the Bilsteins at their full 2.10" ride height setting, though the difference will be fairly marginal. The Fox 2.0s do tend to have better handling both on and off-road than the 5100s, though the difference isn't astronomical. Really, if you're not planning on using your truck off-road very often/very aggressively, then the Bilsteins are probably the better bet. If you absolutely have to have the best ride quality out there or you are using your truck off-road a good deal, then the Fox 2.0s would be the better choice. As long as you're using either system at their full ride heights, you should be able to clear those tires.

Customer Question I have a 2014 F150 Platinum 4x4. I know this package is designed to lift/level the front by 2 inches - does the kit come set at 2 inches? Or, do I need to purchase the Fox Spanner Wrench? If so, which specific wrench? By lifting/leveling the front by 2 inches, will I be able to fit 275/65/R20 tires on the stock wheels without any rubbing? Please advise. Thank you.

Asked by: Matt G. - 10/30/2017
Customer Answer The coilovers come out of the box preset at 2" of ride height over stock. The coilovers no longer require a spanner wrench for ride height adjustments. You should be able to clear that tire during normal street driving without issues, though you'll likely get some rub when you're turning and articulating at the same time.

Customer Question Did fox ever redesign these and issue a new part number for the lighter designed 2015 F150? I am trying to decide if the fox are worth the extra money over the rancho quick lift set. I have a 2015 F150 Lariat with the FX4 package and want to level it out. I don't really take it off road much and want a smooth ride since it's my everyday vehicle. What would you recommend?

Asked by: Kammon Hiatt - 10/22/2017
Customer Answer Fox did not redesign their 2.0s for the 2015-2018 F150s. Your choice of coilover/leveled strut assembly is really going to depend on what kin of ride height you're hoping to achieve. Keep in mind that bot the Fox 2.0s and Rancho QuickLifts can only add up to 2" of ride height and won't get you to 100% dead-level. For a dead-level stance, you'll need to be at 2.5" of leveling. If you're fine with 2", and you don't use your truck off-road, then either the Ranchos or Bilstein 5100s would likely be the better bang-for-your-buck choices.

Customer Question Hey I am a loyal customer but the question I have is, will it fit my truck . I have a 2016 f150 2WD? , I know it says 4WD but I am hard headed and want to know. Hopefully it will fit 2WD trucks

Asked by: Matthew ford - 9/6/2017
Customer Answer This kit will technically fit an RWD/2WD F150. However, you will get slightly more lift up front than what the coilovers are rated for on the 4WD trucks, and you may want to consider adding a 1.5" rear block/4WD F150 take-off rear block to your truck so the shocks are in a more optimum operating range.

Customer Answer The only real difference between the Fox RWD and Fox 4WD coilovers and shocks on the older trucks is that the 4WD versions are slightly taller, since the 4WD F150s sit higher in the front and rear than the RWDs. The differential really doesn't weight all that much (if you're looking at it as a percentage of curb weight). This package will fit your truck, though you will get slightly more ride height out of the front coilovers than what they're rated for on the 4WD F150s.

Customer Question Hi, I want my 2014 F150SCrew lifted in total by only 1.5", am I getting the description correct that the entire truck will get lifted, not just the front/levelled? With the accessory wrench the out of box 2" lift can or cannot be brought down in the front to 1.5"? Thank you

Asked by: Nils - 7/20/2017
Customer Answer That is not correct. This package only provides up to 2" of leveling on the front of your truck. The rear shocks do not provide any lift, though they can handle up to 1.5" of lift from a rear block or add-a-leaf kit. The front coilovers no longer require a spanner wrench for ride height adjustments. Ride height adjustments require compressing the coilover spring, removing the retaining screw in the lower spring perch, and then turning the preload collar by hand.

Customer Question I have a 2015 Lariat SCrew FX4 and am considering this suspension package but would like to know if I'd have any issues with LT295/60r20 Terra Grappler G2's. I'm considering them with Fuel Vector wheels with a 20 offset. Would this work? I'd like to avoid any trimming.

Asked by: Spencer R - 6/12/2017
Customer Answer You should be able to clear that wheel and tire combination during normal street driving, though you may see some rub when turning and fully articulating.

Customer Question My car is ford f-150 2017 4x4 regular cab does this item fit on my car? let me told u my pick-up F-150 2017 4x4 Regular cab is total new and without modifaction. It's like the factory defult send me. And i dont know what is the factory default lift, so just i need improve without modication, just i want pull out the factory shocks and put the new ones, can u advise me, one friend told me that i need one shock who can offerme 2 stocks. And what is more important the front or rears? waiting for your advice, Javier

Asked by: Javier - 6/11/2017
Customer Answer This kit will fit your truck and it adds 2" of front leveling over stock. If you're only concerned about ride quality, then you could pretty easily make the argument that updating the rear shocks is more important, since it's the stock rear shocks that cause most drivability problems. If you're looking to put larger tires on your truck, then the fronts will be more important, since you'll need the clearance up front first before you can jump up tire sizes by a good margin.

Customer Question Is there any way to correct changes in suspension geometry caused by installing this kit (or even a 4" lift)? How detrimental to the longevity of your suspension components is a shift in the geometry? Thanks

Asked by: Murph - 6/8/2017
Customer Answer There's really not a way to fully correct your truck's suspension geometry when you're using leveling spacers or coilovers. Complete 4" lift kits come with dropped crossmembers and new knuckles that correct your truck's suspension and steering geometry. While throwing off your geometry does theoretically cause extra stress and wear, in practice leveling kits up to 2.75" don't usually effect the suspension or steering components' overall lifespans.

Answer provided by: Jason@Stage3 (6/12/2017)

Customer Question This may be a dumb question, but if you crank the coilovers up to their max advertised height of 2" are you limiting the amount of available "travel" so to speak? If so is there any way to mitigate the issue short of getting an ICON or BOSS coilover instead that can go higher?

Asked by: Murph - 6/7/2017
Customer Answer The coilovers come out of the box set at 2" of height. With any leveling kit you do lose some amount of down-travel, since your suspension geometry gets thrown off at the increased ride height. However, the stroke of the coilover assembly doesn't change overly much and you don't really lose overall travel when taking into account both up- and down-travel. To win back at least some down-travel, your best bet would be a set of uniball UCAs.

Customer Question on a 2015 f150 fx4 with this will 275/65/20 on stock wheels fit? should i have any problems after i get an alignment? can this be used with the add a leaf kit aswell?

Asked by: effin brewer - 5/15/2017
Customer Answer A 275/65R20 would probably fine for most street driving, though you might see some rub when you're turning while articulating. The rear shocks are long enough to be used with a typical 1.5" add-a-leaf kit.

Customer Question Will these fit a 2wd truck?

Asked by: Brock Johnson - 5/7/2017
Customer Answer This kit will technically fit an RWD/2WD F150, though you will get slightly more front lift out of the front coilovers. We also recommend using a 1.5" rear block or add-a-leaf kit with the rear shocks.

Customer Question Will this package work on a 2017 2wd F150 as well? I didn't see another page for 2wd for 2014-2017. Thanks

Asked by: Steven - 5/4/2017
Customer Answer Unfortunately, Fox has not yet released a set of front coilovers specifically for the 2WD/RWD 2014-2017 F150s. However, you can technically use this package on an RWD F150, though you will get slightly more lift out of the front coilovers than what they're rated for on the 4WD F150s, and we do recommend that you use at least a 1.5" rear block with the shocks meant for 4WD trucks. You can also call us directly at 623-434-5277 if you want to put together a similar package that includes 4WD front coilovers and RWD rear shocks.

Customer Question I have a 2016 F-150 Screw fX4. If I put on these shocks, would I be able to use a bigger rear block to give my truck a bit of rake? If so, what size block?

Asked by: Tyler M - 4/3/2017
Customer Answer Since the front coilovers only add 2" of front lift, the 2014-2017 F150s already keep a bit of front rake. In general, it takes 2.5" of leveling to get these trucks "dead-level." Still, if you want more rake, there's not reason why you couldn't jump up block sizes. The rear shocks can handle up to a 3" block, though you may not need to go quite that big depending on how much rake you want.

Customer Question Will these fit a 2016 2WD? Peoria Ford states that they will.

Asked by: Chad Chambers - 3/20/2017
Customer Answer This package will technically bolt up to a 2016 2WD/RWD F150 just fine. However, you will get slightly more lift out of the front coilovers than what they're rated for on the 4WD trucks and the rear shocks won't quite be in their optimal operating range unless you add a 1.25" or 1.5" rear block.

Customer Question Currently I have a 2016 2wd F-150. I'm upgrading to a 285/55/20 or 295/55/20 tire on an aftermarket 20x9" wheel. It was recommended I do a 2" level kit. I'm not a fan of the bouncy ride I have with the current suspension. Will this kit work for the 2wd F150 and will it solve the need for a 2" leveling kit? Lastly, will upgrading the shocks void any warranty issues with the manufacture? Thanks Jay

Asked by: Jay - 3/11/2017
Customer Answer You can technically install this kit on an RWD/2WD F150, however, you will get slightly more lift than 2" since this kit is meant to add 2" to a 4WD F150's ride height, and the 4WD F150s have a taller strut assembly than the RWD/2WD. In essence, you'd be at 2.25" to 2.5" of ride height with the front coilovers on an RWD F150, which can be a good or bad thing depending on how much rake you want to keep. The Fox 2.0s do an excellent job eliminating the bounce and jounce of the factory shocks and coilover assemblies during street driving, while providing a huge improvement in off-road performance and ride. In general, as long as the shocks and coilovers are properly installed, this kit won't have an effect on your F150's overall powertrain or bumper-to-bumper warranties. However, all warranty decisions are up to individual dealerships, and your best bet would be to talk to your service department directly about your warranty concerns.

Customer Question I understand that these shocks arrive already adjusted 2in higher. If I don't want the 2in., are there instructions for adjusting them lower? I'm not looking for more height with these shocks. Just better handling.

Asked by: Chris - 2/14/2017
Customer Answer Fox's installation instructions contain fairly detailed instructions for adjusting ride height down, but basically you need to use a spring compressor to take preload off the coilover spring, remove the allen on the adjustment collar, and then turn the adjustment collar down by hand.

Customer Question Can i add a 2 inch leveling kit spacer on top of the coil cover?

Asked by: ernie - 2/12/2017
Customer Answer You can't. A 2" spacer and the 2" of ride height from the Fox Coilovers would give your truck 4" of total front ride height, which is too much for your truck's UCAs, CVs, tie rods, and LCAs. To get 4" of height, you'd need a complete 4" suspension lift kit.

Customer Question Are these front struts adjustable any further than he 2"? Looks like I have more threads and would like another .5" of lift on the fronts. I have not adjusted them at all yet.

Asked by: Brian - 1/30/2017
Customer Answer While it may be possible to take the coilovers higher than 2", neither Fox nor us at Stage 3 recommend it due to the spring preload causing issues with ride quality and seating of the adjustment collar.

Customer Question I HAVE A 2016 f150 fx4 with rough country front leveling kit installed will these work with it or do i need to remove the leveling kit?

Asked by: cHAD - 1/30/2017
Customer Answer We strongly recommend that you remove your leveling kit. If you use the leveling kit in conjunction with the Fox coilovers, you could easily be pushing past 4" of front lift (depending on the specific leveling kit) which will make the coilovers impossible to install and cause serious issues with your front suspension geometry. The only way to make the combination work would be to lower the ride height on the Fox coilovers, which defeats some of their purpose.

Customer Question Does the kit come with a wrench to adjust height?

Asked by: Todd - 1/29/2017
Customer Answer It does not. The Fox 2.0s no longer require a spanner wrench for adjusting ride height. Their updated procedure is to use a set of spring compressors on the coilover spring, unscrew the small allen in the lower adjuster collar, and then adjust ride height by hand.

Customer Question I have a 2015 2.7L F150 xlt 4x4. I want to purchase the Fox 2.0 coilover leveling kit. Could you recommend a maximum tire size/width, rim size/width/backspacing so i can know my limitations and start looking at tires and rims? That would be a huge help. Also, any other information that you feel I should know would be greatly appreciated. Thanks buddy. ~Mike

Asked by: Michael Coburn - 1/9/2017
Customer Answer The maximum size tire we recommend for this kit is a 33x11.50" to avoid rubbing in just about any situation. As far as your wheel size, width, offset, and backspacing are concerned, all of that is going to depend on how far you want your wheel and tire combination to stick out from your fender. Customer Question I would love to run this same setup as you had with your red 2015 FX4 Project with stock sport wheels, but jump to a 295/70-18 (34.3") Nitto Ridge Grappler. Can you comment as to whether or not the bigger tires would fit without issue, and if wheel spacers would help?

Asked by: Caleb - 11/15/2016
Customer Answer You'd likely get at least some rub on the inner fender when turning or turning while articulating. Unfortunately, wheel spacers probably wouldn't help, since they'd push the apex of the tire out to where the front of the wheel well starts to curve in, and you'd end up rubbing worse. As long as you're willing to trim your valance and air dam, you should be able to fit a 34" tire on.

Asked by: 2015 F150 - 10/31/2016
Customer Answer The shocks will fit with airbags, and they'll help a bit, but there will be some extra firmness and stiffness from the air bags, especially a set that needs to stay partially inflated.

Asked by: Brandon - 10/13/2016
Customer Answer Fox actually recommends using a spring compressor to compress the spring so that adjustments can be made, which makes adjusting them on-truck much more difficult than the Boss coilovers or some 2.5 coilover options.

Customer Question 2016 F150 FX4 SCrew - Using this kit and Stock 20" wheels, what size spacer would be needed to fit 295/60R20 or 275/65R20 tires? Thanks.

Asked by: Brandon - 10/12/2016
Customer Answer You would not need a wheel spacer to clear either a 295 or 275 wide tire with this kit. That being said, a 295/60R20 is roughly a 33.9" tall tire and a 275/60R20 is roughly a 34.1" tire, and you may get some amount of rub when turning and articulating. Frankly, we don't recommend using a spacer in conjunction with the Fox 2.0s, since we can guarantee ride quality and you shouldn't take your total front lift beyond 3" without doing a full suspension lift kit.

Customer Question Can you order the fox 2.0 coilovers for a 6" lifted 2015 f150?

Asked by: Valleywine - 10/9/2016
Customer Answer Unfortunately, Fox does not currently offer full-length Fox 2.0s for F150s with 6" lift kits. You could, feasibly use the coilovers in this kit in conjunction with the strut spacers included with most lift kits and get a good ride. However, the shocks in this package are not long enough to work with 6" lifts, and you would need BDS's Fox 2.0 Shocks for 6" lifts.

Customer Question Has Fox said if they will release new items for the 2015-2016 F150 to account for the weight and changes in suspension angles?

Asked by: chris collins - 8/11/2016
Customer Answer The suspension angles of the coilovers and shocks did not change enough to be an issue, and Fox is not revalving their 2.0 coilovers or 2.0 shocks for the 2015-2016 F150s. Both will work on lighter 2015-2016 F150s just fine since their valving is not overly aggressive, and we've run them hard on our own 2015 F150 without issues. Fox did revalve their 2.5 series coilovers and piggyback rear shocks for the 2015-2016 F150s, however.

Customer Question I have a 2016 F150 FX4. My question is will this level the truck with out a new rear block? Also, will it change the stock ride for the better , or worst?

Asked by: Brian - 8/9/2016
Customer Answer The Fox 2.0 coilovers in this kit raise from ride height by up to 2". In general, it takes about 2.5" of front lift to get these trucks perfectly level, so your truck will still have a slight amount of front rake even without a rear block. In general, the Fox Stage 1 Package generally improves on-road ride quality while providing much improved off-road performance.

Customer Question Saw kinda conflicting info on here. It says the rear shocks support up to a 1" lift but it also says that you can use up to a 3" rear block. My understanding is a 3" block is about 1 1/2" taller than the factory block on my 2013 FX4. So my question is could I use a autospring 3" rear block with this or do I have to go with a smaller block?

Asked by: EcoBoostedFX4 - 2/9/2016
Customer Answer Fox recommends 1", but the shocks have enough travel to feasibly handle up to something like a 1.75" rear lift, if need be, and 3" rear blocks on 4WD F150s are safe to use with the shocks.

Customer Answer The coilovers can be lowered to a stock ride height, though you'd need the Fox 2.0 spanner wrench to do it. That being said, we really don't recommend stacking a spacer kit on top of the coilovers, as ride quality can be effected. If you're solely looking to upgrade your rear shocks, the Fox 2.0 Rear Shocks are located here.

Customer Question Taking delivery of a 2016 KR shortly. Looking at Fox Stage 1 kit with 3" Auto Spring block for rear, mainly street with occasional off-road use. Looking for improved performance over FX4, 2" increased ride height & level. Question: Will 295/65/20 BFG KO2's fit/function in this application using factory 20 wheels?

Asked by: Denver Mike - 11/30/2015
Customer Answer You would not be able to fit a 295/65R20 (35"x11.61") tire with the Fox coilovers, at least not without trimming and removing your crash bars. The largest tire we generally recommend with this kit without trimming/crash bar removal is a 295/55R20, which is a 32.8" x 11.61" tire. You also state that you want to use a 3" rear block with this kit, but the Fox coilovers 2" of leveling ability will still leave you with some front rake. Adding a 3" block will give your truck quite a bit of rake, which will be far from a leveled stance. If anything, a 2.5" from leveling system of some sort is generally all that's needed for a dead-level look.

Customer Question So does this level front also ? And what's the highest you can go up? Just enough to get it up to 2 inches?

Asked by: Milo - 11/22/2015
Customer Answer The front coilovers come preset at their maximum 2" ride height, which is enough to bring up the front end enough to fit 33" tires. 2" will still leave a bit of rake, which can actually be helpful for hauling, however, you'd likely need a system capable of going to 2.5" to get a completely dead-level stance.

Customer Question I have a 2012 F150, 4WD, Crew, Longbed, with the 'heavy duty payload' package. It has 7-lug wheels and a front axle GAWR of 4050 lbs and a rear axle GAWR of 4800 lbs, The additional front/rear payload is 300/800 lbs over the non-HD model. So I expect the front and rear springs are heavier (i.e. there is an additional leaf on the rear). I'm pretty sure that the mounts are the same, but there may be valve-ing differences necessary. Will this kit work? How adjustable is the shock?

Asked by: TotalChaos - 11/21/2015
Customer Answer The shocks and coilovers in this kit are not compression or valving adjustable. The front coilovers are only ride height adjustable. However, all should work fine on your truck without revalving, given that the net difference in total vehicle curb weight between the standard and Payload Package trucks isn't too extreme. That being said, you may not see as dramatic as an improvement in ride quality or suspension performance over standard 6-lug trucks with the Fox kit.

Customer Question I read your review of the Fox Stage 1 Suspension Package versus the ICON Stage 2 0-2.5" Suspension Package (THANKS, it was very helpfull) and think that the Fox Stage 1 suits my needs and driving habits better, can you give me the pros and cons of the Fox package versus just the front coil over leveling kit? I just purchased a 2015 F150 SuperCrew 6.5 bed in the Sport Package and would like to get rid of the rake and keep close to factory performace the coil over provides over the cheaper "leveling kit" spacers. Thanks

Asked by: Wes - 11/9/2015
Customer Answer The cons are the added expense of rear shocks over just the coilovers, but honestly, that's pretty much it. Pros: while most of the sloppy handling of a bone-stock F150 is caused by the front struts, the stock rear shocks cause a lot of the bounciness that you feel going over bumps and ruts, as they don't tend to settle if the bed's unloaded after an impact. The Fox 2.0 rear shocks alleviate that problem and keep the rear end of your truck much more settled and controlled.

Customer Question I have 2.5" spacers, I am looking for a suspension replacement (that allow me to keep spacers already purchased) from stock, to have a bit of a smoother ride. Recommendations if any?

Asked by: Albert Garcia - 9/25/2015
Customer Answer You could technically use this kit, though you'd absolutely need to set the Fox coilovers at a 0" ride height so that you're not pushing your UCA, LCA, and CV angles past the breaking point. Secondly, I can't really guarantee what kind of ride quality you'll get, as the Fox coilovers aren't really designed to be used with spacers, though it will probably still be far superior to stock. I know it seems like you're throwing money away, but you'd be better off ditching the spacers and trying to sell them privately. If you need 2.5" of ride height and still want a smooth ride, check out F150Lifts BOSS Coilovers

Customer Question will stock rims and tires work with this or will I have to get rims with less back spacing?

Asked by: Kenneth - 9/17/2015
Customer Answer The stock wheels and tires on both the 2014 F150s and 2015 F150s will work fine with the Fox Stage 1 Kit. Only the Stage 2 Kit that comes with an aftermarket UCA has any backspacing/offset requirements for your wheels.

Customer Question Can an experienced tech adjust the collar to preloaded the spring more to give it extra height?

Asked by: Doug - 9/9/2015
Customer Answer I doubt it. If you force the collar up too high, the force of the spring will eventually make it jump off the threads. 2" is really as high as you can go.

Customer Question Even with the Fox spanner wrench these seem to be too hard to turn with the suspension at full droop. Any thoughts?

Asked by: Jared - 8/24/2015
Customer Answer They may already be at their maximum height, if that's the case. Lately, Fox has been setting them at 1-3/4" to a full 2" of ride height out of the box, so they may not be able to go up any higher. However, if you're still having problems, give us a call directly at 1-877-578-2433.

Customer Question I have a 2014 4x4 Platinum that I want to put 295/60/20's on the stock wheels. Do you think this kit set at the full 2" would allow this or should I use the f150lifts boss kit to get the 2.5-3" lift in the front to accommodate the 295's? Also which set rides the best on pavement? my truck will only see offroad use during hunting season so for 9 months out of the year this will be more about look and ride quality than performance. Thanks for the help

Asked by: Randall B. - 7/20/2015
Customer Answer If you're putting those tires on the factory Platinum wheels, then you'd likely need the Boss coilovers to get the extra lift, due to the large positive offsets on those wheels. Both kits ride extremely well on pavement to the point where it's a total toss-up. The only difference between the two is that the F150Lifts coilovers can squeeze out more ride height and the Fox 2.0s have a bit better build quality. That all being said, I think your best bet would be to give us a call directly at 1-877-578-2433 so we can get more specific with the wheel and tire setup on your truck.

Customer Question Will the 4WD Fox stage 1 suspension package for on a 2WD truck?

Asked by: Chris - 7/1/2015
Customer Answer The kit will technically bolt up to a 2WD F150. The only issue you'd run into is that you'd get slightly more lift out of the coilovers than a set meant for 2WD trucks. Fox is working on 2015 2WD-specific coilovers, but we don;t have a release date yet.

Customer Question I have a f150 2013 4x4 would it work on mine?

Asked by: keone - 6/23/2015
Customer Answer It will not. This kit will only fit 2014 and 2015 F150s due to changes Ford made to the lower control arm mount for the struts. A version for the 2009 to 2013 F150s that will fit your truck is located right here.

Customer Question I have a 2014 ford f150 FX4 with appearance package. Will this FOX stage 1 Suspension package change the height of the truck at all if i replace the stock parts with these? I want to maintain same height, or even bring it down an inch (just dont want to raise the truck up any higher than stock). Will the parts come pre set at a certain height or will i have to adjust them??

Asked by: Reggie - 6/2/2015
Customer Answer The front coilovers come pre-set about an inch and a half taller than your factory ride height. To bring them down to stock, you would need to grab Fox's coilover spanner wrench and adjust them down after they arrive.

Customer Question I have a 4 inch lift kit this suspension can fit on it?

Asked by: Javier - 5/9/2015
Customer Answer Unfortunately, no. The rear shocks are not long enough to handle a 4" lift block. The front coilovers could work if your lift kit uses strut spacers for the factory front struts, but the coilovers wouldn't be able to be used in a standalone application.

Customer Question Is this kit a 2" , 2.5" , or 3"?

Asked by: Andrew - 4/20/2015
Customer Answer The kit can add a maximum of 2" of front ride height. Out of the box, the coilovers are set at around 1-1/2".

Customer Question If I give you the increase in desired ride height I want, can you set up these coilovers to achieve that? Or is that something I have to do?

Asked by: Andrew - 4/7/2015
Customer Answer Fox sets them at around 1-1/2" of additional ride height out of the box. If you wanted a different ride height setting, you'd need to order the Fox Spanner Wrench with your kit and then set them yourself using the coilover's adjustment collar.

Customer Question If I am trying to get 2.5" of lift in the front, can I use leveling kit in conjunction with the coil overs?

Asked by: Andrew - 4/5/2015
Customer Answer You technically could. However, your ride quality will suffer to some extent with the addition of the spacer. You may be better off taking a look at the F150Lifts BOSS Coilovers if you want to go beyond 2".

Customer Question 2014 FX4 : do you know if this will allow the stock raptor wheels/tire to fit? How is the pavement ride at highway speeds set at 2" compared to stock? I'm tired of the rear vibration on the freeway. Lastly, will the rear still fit with a bigger block than stock?

Asked by: Fx4 - 3/30/2015
Customer Answer Stock Raptor wheels and tires will still have some amount of rub on the inner fender and likely your FX4 fender flares, even at the full 2" of ride height. You'd either need to trim both of those sections of your truck or go with coilovers capable of going beyond 2" of front ride height. The street ride on the Fox kits is pretty good, though maybe slightly stiffer than stock, however, your truck will feel more planted and have less of a tendency to bounce after rebound. The rear shocks can handle rear block sizes of up to 3" without having too much of an issue.

Customer Question So will this definitely fit a 2015 f150 4wd platinum?

Asked by: Alberto - 3/24/2015
Customer Answer The kit will physically bolt up to a 2015 F150. However, it's not known yet whether or not Fox is going to redesign the valving of the coilovers and shocks and issue new part numbers due to the much lower weight of the 2015 F150s. It may be in your best interest to wait until we have a firm answer from Fox.

Customer Question (2014 ford f150 xtr 4x4) 2" ready lift strut level in the front (bolts on top of strut) and 3" blocks in the rear. Can these be installed with my current leveling set up? If I install these with the current set up will I get more lift? Currently have 33's will I fit 35's?

Asked by: vern - 3/6/2015
Customer Answer You can technically install the coilovers with your spacers, but we strongly do not recommend it. The coilovers come set at 1-1/2" inches of height out of the box, which would put your truck up at 3-1/2" of front lift. That much lift really throws off your LCA, UCA, and CV angles and will cause you some serious drivability issues, of not outright breaking something. The only way you should run these coilovers is by grabbing Fox's spanner wrench and then cranking them down to a maximum of 1/2" to 3" of ride height, and even then your ride quality may be effected by the spacers. 35" tires can fit at 2.5" to 3" of extra front ride height depending on your wheel size, width, offset, and backspace as well as whether or not you're willing to trim your valance.

Customer Question (2014 F150 XLT SuperCrew 4x4) Will I be able to use this kit with my Rough Country 6inch suspension lift? Could I raise the front end to eliminate that very little bit of rake look?

Asked by: Armando H - 3/1/2015
Customer Answer Not quite. You would be able to use the Fox front coilovers with your kit in conjunction with the strut spacers included in the Rough Country kit, however, the rear shocks included in our Fox package are not long enough to handle the additional rear lift of the Rough Country kit. You can purchase the coilovers by themselves right here. BDS and Fox do have a rear shock for 6" lift kits, and it's available right here. You can call us directly at 1-877-578-2433, if you want us to put a package together.

Customer Question (2014 Ford F150 4x4 Supercab STX sport pkg) If this kit is used to level the truck (meaning the ring is adjusted to 1.5" - 2.0" of lift) is there any adverse suspension wear that will occur over time (normal driving, not off road)? Will it change the camber of my stock wheels and tires (275/55R20) or cause any adverse wear?

Asked by: Ben - 2/25/2015
Customer Answer You do push the angles of your UCAs, LCAs, and CVs out of their stock range, which does tend to cause some extra wear and tear, especially when driving aggressively off-road. However, that "extra" wear is extremely minute, and it's unlikely that you'd have a serious issue with your suspension components for the life of your truck. Adding ride height changes your toe angle, which can cause some abnormal tire wear, if you don't get an alignment after installation.

Customer Question Will I have to rebuild this kit? If so why? Have a 2014 Platinum F-150 4x4 I just drive on road. Will my truck still ride and drive good? Will I be able to install 275x60x20 tires on my stock wheels without rubbing?

Asked by: art pulliam - 10/13/2014
Customer Answer Whether or not you'll need to rebuild the shocks/shock bodies is going to be largely dependent on how long you keep your truck. Fox says the shocks can go up to 50,000 miles on a street driven truck, but it wouldn't surprise me if that's a low-balled number for those that drive their truck aggressively. Basically, you may not have to rebuild the shocks for the time you have you truck. Those tires ought to be fine with the coilover's extra ride height.

Customer Question I have a 2014 FX4 and I was just wondering how often do these shocks need to be re-built?

Asked by: Eric Britt - 10/8/2014
Customer Answer Fox doesn't set a specific mileage or time, given that wear on the shocks and shock components can vary wildly depending on application. Fox's general guidelines say that a complete rebuild only needs to be done up to every 50,000 miles for 100% street driven trucks, but as little as a 1,000 miles for trucks that are 100% off-road. You can read more about it over on Fox's Service Page.
