Shocks are great quality and are super easy to install. The hardest part was getting the factory front coil overs out due to the bottom studs. Make sure you loctite the bolts on the a-arms. The shocks give 2" lift as set from Fox and were perfect for what I was looking for as far as lift. The truck still has a very minimal rake. Ride quality is softer than factory FX4 shocks and they ride great off road as well as on the road. These will not negatively affect your ride quality. I would recommend.

The stock sport shock are very comfortable but they float or bounce a little to much. The right is almost to soft and they don't do well over sharp bumps, railroad tracks etc. Especially the rear end. Moving to the Fox setup outside the look was the best thing I ever did for the truck. Not only is the 2" of extra clearance nice in the front. The ride and handling is just so much grater. Truck feels a lot more planted, the float is gone but all of the comfort is still there. These aren't going to make your truck harsh or uncomfortable. I also got these with the camber kit on this site, you probably don't need it but I like to make sure everything is spot on in an alignment so the extra adjustment is great! Super happy with this purchase. Put these on with 4100 miles have about 4000 miles on the fox setup no and I'd never go back.

I order the level kit after going back and forth with some awesome stage 3 staff about fitment concerns I’d had and received it very quickly. The fit and finish was what I was hoping for! The ride height set to two inches was nice because I still maintain some rake in the rear but really balances the truck in my opinion. I feel it is about the same stiffness as the original fx4 coil over shocks it just adds 2 inches of lift. I called several ford dealerships to get quotes on install. Many wanted to overcharge like crazy but I found a small dealership away from the cities for under $500. There are upper control arms available now that I wished I would have installed at the same time but I can wait. I highly recommend the kit and getting the UCAs done at the same time.

Made a big difference in ride quality.Much more stable,Noticable improvement over the FX4 shocks.Doesnt hop like it did stock.Looks perfect with the factory blocks removed.Wheelwells are about 3/4" higher in the rear.If the front settles in I will reinstall them.Yhis is the updated kit for the 21-22.

I am loving these! On my first go around on this truck, I actually installed the Ford Performance Fox 2.0's intended for the 15-20 trucks, but the dampening felt a bit too stiff to me. After speaking with Stage3, I decided to install the "correct" set, and I am glad I did. They ride fantastically. Certainly stiffer than OE suspension, but still very comfortable. The wallow is gone and cornering is way more fun. Out of the box, I got right around 2" of level. As another review said, getting the factory suspension out is the hardest part. I recommend hammering the studs in the front struts out for easier disassembly. If you get those studs out, you wont have to mess with the axle/IWE or the lower control arm bolts at all. All that's needed is to pop the upper ball joint and tie rod, unbolt the sway link, and the strut can be slid out/in. On my second round, I did all four corners in less than 2 hours. Don't forget to put some blue Loctite on the lower bolts.

These shocks are a major step up from oem suspension, they improve handling significantly l and absorb bumps much better than stock. Plus they make the truck feel more connected to the road, the increase in ride height also gives the truck a really nice look.

This Fox 2.0 suspension package really improved the ride quality on my truck. The ride is firmer, but not harsh, and my truck feels much more stable going down rutted and pothole covered roads. Out of the box I didn't get the full 2" of lift, I only got 0.75" of lift on my truck. I adjusted the coilovers and currently have them set to 1.25" of front lift. After adjusting them, I'm happy with both the appearance and the ride quality.

I’ve only had them installed a short time, but I highly recommend this kit. Truck handles much better than my factory struts with 2” leveling spacers/shocks! Ride is definitely firmer, but not stiff - if that makes sense. Truck now absorbs bumps as opposed transferring them occupants. You have a better feel for what the truck is doing/experiencing. Only negative I found is the front sits 1/8-1/4” lower than my factory struts with the 2” spacers - it didn’t affect my tire clearance at all (basically 34x12 on factory 18” rims). I wish I had gone this route day 1 instead of the leveling spacers.

The ride quality is slightly better than the stock FX4 shocks. I installed them at "out of the box" settings and only got 1.5" of lift, not the 2" they advertise. Overall, still happy with them and glad I made the change as it eliminated most of the forward rake.

Purchased this set specifically to remove the floating feeling while driving at higher speeds over bumps. The truck feels MUCH better and much more planted. Very happy with the purchase. Ford dealer charged $880 out the door including alignment to install all 4 pieces.

The ride and control are superior to the stock set up. Installation was straight forward. Ride is a bit more stiff than stock but greatly improves ride control over rough surfaces.

Customer Question Is a new UCA required? 2023 F150 FX4

Asked by: Sactown Steve - 1/13/2026
Customer Answer We would not consider a UCA required on 2" of lift, but it can improve the front end angles making alignment easier and allowing the suspension to articulate without binding even at 2".

Customer Question What is the largest tire size this kit will allow one to run with OEM wheels and without rubbing?

Asked by: Gary - 11/25/2025
Customer Answer For clearance concerns, we would not run a tire taller than 34", and no wider than 11.50". Any wider or taller, and you may have to do some trimming depending on how your truck settles.

Customer Question Is the front coil over part number for this kit 985-02-015? As, according to Fox customer service, this is the appropriate front coil over for the Ford F150 Powerboost. Please advise. Thank you.

Asked by: Tim - 1/31/2025
Customer Answer That is the 2014-2020 F150 Fox front coilover part number which uses a higher rated spring which would handle the additional weight of the Powerboost equippped 21+ F150. It would bolt up no problem to the Powerboost equipped trucks, we just could not guarantee the ride height as you may still be under the 2" mark with this part number. Reach out to our sales team if you have any other questions or would like to place an order with those fronts and the 21+ rear shocks.

Customer Question Can these be adjusted higher than the 2 in? Also will this kit give me a true level or will i still have some rake ?

Asked by: Fab - 3/2/2024
Customer Answer Fox does not recommend adjusting them up over the 2" max height they are rated for. Turning them up higher than that can cause ride quality to suffer.

Customer Question I have a 2023 Powerboost platinum 4x4. Just want to make sure this is the right product for my vehicle?

Asked by: AK917 - 2/1/2024
Customer Answer These will bolt onto a powerboost F150 4wd truck with no problems, but with the additional weight of your engine combination you would not see the advertised height. Fox has recommended using the 14-20 kit as it's longer and would provide more lift height on the 21+ trucks which would get the heavier engine options closer to the 2" mark.

Customer Question Will this kit void the Ford factory warranty?

Asked by: Hoosier - 12/16/2023
Customer Answer This will not void your factory warranty as a whole, but will void the warranty on the parts it actually replaces like the front struts and rear shocks.

Customer Question 21-23 Fox Stage 1 Leveling package, does this come with 985-02-015? This is what was recommended by Fox representative for Powerboost. I have seen some say "not for hybrid or tremor"

Asked by: Geoff - 12/11/2023
Customer Answer No, this comes with the 21-23 F150 part number. Fox985-02-015 is the 14-20 F150 front coilover part number so you would need to purchase those if you did not want the 21-23 kit. We have a 14-20 stage 1 kit just like this 21-23, as well as we have those fronts listed just by themselves if you look in the older F150 coilover categories. Give our sales team a call if you need help placing an order for them. 623.434.5277 option 1.

Customer Question I have a 2021 Tremor with 2” leveling kit, what I understand is that I’m not going to be able to gain more height than the the 2” I actually have? But they work on the Tremor. Or what is the issue? Thanks

Asked by: Hector - 4/13/2023
Customer Answer These will physically fit on the tremor but as you have asked these will not give you the advertised height gain since the tremor already sits higher from the factory.

Customer Question Once installed, can the shocks be adjusted or do you have to remove them, compress the spring and adjust?

Asked by: Craig Wilson - 12/2/2022
Customer Answer The front coilovers can't be adjusted on-truck. To adjust ride height, you need to compress the spring, loosen the lower spring perch's set screw, and then adjust the perch's height by hand. We only recommend using a floor or wall-mounted spring compressor due to the size and spring rate of the spring. Most portable spring compressors can't handle them.

Customer Question What's the difference between this kit and the Roush kit

Asked by: Rogelio - 7/6/2022
Customer Answer This package uses 2021-2022 F150 specific coilovers and shocks while the Roush system uses 2015-2020 F150 parts and required the front coilovers to be adjusted to avoid geometry issues. Our 2021-2022 F150 Stage 1 Package does not need adjustments out of the box.
