Great quality product, easy to install. Finally no more issues with my front vacuum hubs.

Fords design out of the factory was poorly executed. These are a must for any Ford 4x4 as they correct the issue. Everything feels nice and tight and installation took about 1hr.

I wanted these for some time. Passenger IWE was making noises that went away in 4A. Install was easy and the noise is now gone. I wish I had just put these on a long time ago.

These should be on the car from the factory. All of the unnecessary vacuum parts are problems waiting to happen. Do yourself a favor and install these NOW.

If you're looking at these you already know the issue. In my case the clicking sound was heard even when the IWE solenoid was unplugged. If this is happening too you then you are on borrowed time. You either need too replace the IWE with these or a new IWE before it strips the teeth off the hub bearing. You can see in the photo which one was bad. That is the clicking noise you are hearing. These fixed my problem completely!! Took about hour an a half in the garage with a jack.

Great replacement for the weak IWEs that ford installs these range of trucks. Now I don't have to worry about not having 4wd in a snowstorm! Remember to replace the fluid in your transfer case also as I went through a set of IWEs in a year because my transfer case was binding up.

Customer Question Does this cause the loss of on the fly 4 wheel drive? I know that was part of the reason for the springs to slowly engage while driving at speeds. I just wished they would find a way to install manual hubs like the kit for the old late 70 Dodges with full time 4 wheel drive and a single nut axle stub

Asked by: Don - 12/1/2025
Customer Answer The IWE only engage the axles to to spin with the wheels instead of allowing them to spin freely. It will not change how the transfer case works, and you will still have to have 4wd engaged either manually with the 4wd switch or by the truck doing it itself with the 4A option. The cv shaft will no longer spin freely, and will locked and spin with the wheel if you use the iwe delete kits.

Customer Question Do you guys have a tutorial video or written instructions for installation? Specifically what other parts to remove/eliminate after installing the woe’s.

Asked by: Anthony - 10/2/2022
Customer Answer RCV's install instructions are here. The only part that needs to be removed is the IWE itself.

Customer Question The stock setup has seals the prevent moisture and dust from getting in from the back side.. with this set up wouldn't it be a problem getting in through the back side of the hub?

Asked by: Shawn - 9/1/2022
Customer Answer With the way the axle splines into the IWE eliminator and the way the eliminator splines into the hub, there's not a huge opportunity for dirt and debris to get into the rotating components, despite the back side of the hub being slightly more exposed.

Customer Question Am really interested in this product but just got to ask, if I read the part where this permanently locks your CV to the hub correctly, and gas mileage reducing, does this mean that the 4x4 will always be engaged? Mines an 09 with the manual 4x4 for reference.

Asked by: Daniel - 1/13/2022
Customer Answer Installing this kit will not engage 4WD. These eliminators solely lock the hubs onto the CVs, causing them and the front differential to spin, when they otherwise wouldn't. However, your transfer case is not engaged, so actual 4WD is not active until you hit you actually select 4x4 with the stock knob.

Customer Question Would nt discounting the power to the solenoid do the same results ?

Asked by: Todd Jacobs - 12/6/2021
Customer Answer Disconnecting the solenoid would disable the IWE system and lock the hubs, but you do still have the potential of the IWE's tearing or cracking (granted, if you're driving your truck hard, that's not super-likely), which could potentially cause issues with your hubs down the road.

Customer Question How much of a loss in fuel economy will be noticed with the addition of this kit?

Asked by: Giulio - 10/18/2021
Customer Answer We have not tested this kit ourselves, so I can't say for certain. If I were to take an educated guess, you may lose up to 1mpg, but possibly more.
