2015 F150 XLT Supercrew 4x4
I compared this lift to other lifts before I bought it. The next higher priced lift (about 200 more) is from Rough Country. The main difference between the two is that the Rough Country has metal cut out of the cross-members to make it lighter and it has possibly more ground clearance in the front cross-member. I also compared it the Rancho lift which is about 500 more, depending on where you purchase it. That lift has metal tubes connecting the crossmembers which make it stronger. Other than that these three kits really all are extremely similar. They all use strut spacers in the front, lift blocks in the rear, lower crossmembers and new knuckles. I purchased this kit because it was the most affordable and had the same components of higher priced kits. This is my daily driver and I have a Jeep TJ that I use for offroadin, so I knew I wouldn't be doing any extreme offroading in this vehicle. If I had plans on that I probably would've gotten a lift with coilovers. The parts of this kit are beefy and well made. It took me and a friend about 16hrs to install, in my driveway with hand tools and jack stands. It is a two person job because the front differential is very heavy for one person to drop. The instructions are very clear. There is one step where cutting is required, I had to cut several times and put the front differential on and off to check for clearance. Other than that part everything was straight forward. The only other hard part is putting the driveshaft back in the knuckle. You have to be careful with that because if it isn't seated you will crush the 4x4 actuator. It took a few tries to get it seated perfectly. After the install the camber was extremely off and I drove it very slowly to an alignment shop. After alignment it drives smoothly at 75. In fact it drives much better than when I had a leveling kit. I would recommend this kit over the 6 kit because the 6 kit uses the same knuckles as the 4.5 kit and it will change angle of the the upper control arm and pitman arm, to be like if it had a leveling kit. I am running 295/70r18 on aftermarket wheels. I highly recommend this kit.

Customer Question On your 4.5 lift for the 2020 xlt crew cab sport does it need any cutting or trimming to installed ?

Asked by: Joseph - 7/13/2021
Customer Answer This lift kit will fit a 2020 F150 XLT SuperCrew with 4WD. The lift kit absolutely requires subframe cutting, trimming, and drilling for installation.

Customer Question I am looking into purchasing the super lift 4.5 kit for my 2020 F-150 4x4. My question is how does this kit do towing. I have a 7000 lb camper I tow.

Asked by: Todd - 10/25/2020
Customer Answer This kit does not technically impact your truck's rated payload, GVWR, or GCWR (other than the additional weight of the kit and what wheels and tires you're using). The only real issue is that this kit does tend to put your truck near-level, which would result in some rear squat when towing, so you may want to consider some kind of load-leveling system and you'll need some sort of dropped hitch to compensate for the rear lift.

Customer Question With this kit can I run a 20x9 with a +01mm offset and a true 35x12.5 tire?

Asked by: Bryan - 6/21/2019
Customer Answer Yep. A 20x9" wheel with an 01mm has 5" of backspace, which exceeds this kit's 5.50" maximum backspace requirement to clear a 12.50" wide tire.

Customer Question Would this lift work with an add a leaf kit? Because to my knowledge this kit levels your vehicle. But I use my trunk and hitch on a daily basis. I want that extra inch up in the trunk.

Asked by: Moustapha Harajli - 1/31/2018
Customer Answer You can add an add-a-leaf kit to this lift kit, though we'd recommend grabbing a set of longer shocks while you're at like the BDS Fox 2.0s for 6" lifts.

Customer Question can I get a credit for this kit w/o the rear shocks and w/o the front strut spacers, as I would like to get the fox 2.0 struts and already bought the icon rear shocks. Right now my truck sits 1.5" higher in the rear w/1.5 lift on the front and air bags on the rear for towing a boat w/only 5 psi in the bags. My thinking is I could use my frt lift w/the fox shocks and cut the rear spacers to 1" to make the truck be perfectly level and the rear Icon shocks will still be within their travel limits. Also, could I run this kit at only 3.5" of lift in the front, seems better to be 1/2" low than 1.5" high up front for the shafts and travel?

Asked by: Thomas Richter - 11/19/2017
Customer Answer To custom order this kit, please give us a call directly at 623-434-5277. This kit does not come with a rear spacer, just a rear block. In order to get the ride height you want you'd simply substitute a smaller rear block into the kit. The kit is designed for 4.5" of lift, and we don't really recommend running it at 3.5", since that amount of extra up-travel could cause an issue. If you'd like to use a lower amount of lift, your better bet would be to use a true 4" lift and slightly decrease your height from there.

Customer Question Will a 20x12 and 35s fit this kit with 4.75" back spacing?

Asked by: Gage Mcclain - 11/15/2016
Customer Answer You'd likely get some rub on your valance when turning or turning while articulating due to the fact that the high negative offset of 20x12" wheel with 4.75" of backspace pushes the apex of the tire out to where the wheel well starts to curve back into the truck. Especially considering that you'd have to run at least a 12.50" wide tire on those wheels, if not wider.

Customer Question What size rear block comes with this kit? I assume this kit will make the truck sit level.

Asked by: Josh - 11/2/2016
Customer Answer This kit includes 3.25" rear block, which will bring the truck close to level since the front adds 4.5" of ride height and the rear is already 2.5" higher than the front from the factory.
