I had about 80,000 miles on my stock brakes and decided to replace them with the PowerStop rotors and pads after reading several good reviews. The main reason for replacing the set was that my stock brakes would shudder, even when braking lightly. I've put about 2,000 miles with this set and I'm completely satisfied. Time will tell if they continue to perform as expected. The installation was straight forward. It was about 40 degrees outside when I performed the job, and the stock rotors were stubborn coming off. But all the PowerStop parts fit perfectly, and I'm glad I decided to perform the installation myself (with the help of a friend). What I most enjoy about this set, as with a previous set of brakes on my Mustang GT, is that they don't have the head-jerking initial bite. There is a smooth, gradual application of friction with a much better feel while braking, rather than applying most of the stopping power within the first 2 inches of pedal travel. It can take some getting used to, but in the end it provides better control of braking (in my opinion). Also, while these brakes don't provide the massive initial bite, they have far superior braking power than the stock rotors and pads.

My stock brakes shuttered and one rotor was warped. I purchased these for more stopping power and boy do they perform awesome. Not only did it fix my stock brake problems they look amazing! Took about 4 hours on my driveway to put them on. Stage3motorsports shipped fast and arrived perfect. These are well worth the money!

Very pleased with the performance of these brakes. Faster and shorter stopping, no shutter or noise. The break in cycle was fast and easy. Recommend getting some ceramic brake grease to use on all the moving parts and such. Didn't get any in my box. And I don't know about other applications, but on mine the dust covers rubbed the back of the rotors so I had to bend those out of the way. If it wasn't for that it would be a 5 star review.

Nice set up. Easy to install, except, the new pads must be put into the caliper a certain way. Its a good idea to review the install instructions on line before beginning. Good stopping power while towing a car. If these last as long as my original brakes (40,000) I am a happy camper.

Great value, shipped well, easy install, high quality product. Brakes work great and have a good feel, definitely better than stock. I only have 1000 mi on them so far, so we'll see. I did notice one very very small groove in the rotor like there was an imperfection on the outside right rear brake pad. Hoping it just wears down and works itself out. Very happy with my purchase.

The original brakes were not bad but once they got hot, they lost braking power. I installed these on my truck and immediately noticed a major difference. Once these get hot, they bite hard and fast. I and trust these to slow me down much better and faster than the original brakes. I will say that the new pads will create more dust than the original pads but I dont mind that for the added power. Well worth the price. Highly recommend these.

I've got a couple thousand miles and one 400 mile road trip towing a 5,000 pound travel trailer on these brakes. I had warped the factory rotors a long time ago but held out on fixing them until it was time for tires (285/60R20) and a complete brake job. The biggest difference that I notice (besides the lack of a shudder) is the increase in modulation. They feel super smooth and always do exactly what I tell them to. Not too grabby or loose, and they don't seem to care that I increased the tire size, even when towing. On top of that it looks pretty rad when you look through the wheel at a drilled and slotted rotor. Install is as easy as any brake job on these pickups, which is super easy. I didn't time it but it was probably two hours or so in the driveway.

I bought these brakes for s father-son project on my son's 2013 F-150. We did then on a Saturday afternoon with no issues. Everything was included (Grease, guide boots etc). When completed we broke them in per the clear instructions and when done the brakes were better than they were when the truck was new! No fade, no squeaks or shaking, and a very smooth clean stop. Thank you stage3motorsports! Mike

I tow at least 3-4 times per year a 33 foot travel trailer with a weight of about 8000 pounds. I have been using stock rotors and pads since I purchased the truck new and in the past year have noticed a slight decrease in stopping power. I decided to upgrade my brake system and found excellent reviews on Powerstop products, so I purchased rotors and pads for all three corners. Installation was a breeze and went smoothly. Breaking in the new brakes was fast and easy, just make sure to follow the included directions. I've been driving on them now for a couple weeks and have been very happy with them. Smooth and confident braking in all situations. I'm going to be flushing/replacing my old brake fluid in a few days and expect to have even a better experience while towing my trailer.

I had "OEM Quality" brakes put on previously that were HORRIBLE. They wouldn't even lock up my tires on dry pavement. So I purchased these brakes. On the highway, they are so much better than my old brakes! They do everything I need them to do. The downside: When these brakes are cold, they don't stop for anything. While it is only the first time or two you hit the brakes when first driving, those times you have to be really careful. I went to move my truck yesterday from 1 parking spot to another(I gave it a little gas..) and I nearly ran through a wooden fence because I couldn't stop... I thought this might just be during the break-in period, but I have over 500 miles on the brakes and still have the issue.

Received the kit within a week which was great for me as I installed this past thursday and friday. Install was easy enough just finding time to do it was tricky, I am overall really pleased with how they have turned out so far. Definitely catch my eye when walking up to the truck as they really stand out behind my Method wheels, stopping power is great and pretty smooth after the initial break in procedure that i've done. Definitely worth for anyone looking for rotors and brakes!

Install Time was about 3.5 hours. Would have been faster if I had a big enough floor jack instead of the one that comes with the truck. Extremely straight forward installation. Bedding process was easy but finding the right road can be tricky. I followed the procedure but it was around 30 degrees so it probably could have used more repetitions. The pads made noise for the first 2-3 days during the last 5-10 feet before coming to a complete stop. I have a very short commute and this was during a snowstorm so I'm sure this would be shorter or nonexistent for those with a longer commute or warmer conditions. After 600 miles the braking is excellent. No issues whatsoever. Compared to the OEM brakes these are certainly an upgrade. I wouldn't call them aggressive but they do provide a great bite on the highway and I haven't experienced any fade through several 2-3 hour drives. Two things I noticed during installation. The front brake pads aren't labeled for interior/exterior. Also, brake pad lubricant wasn't included with the front brakes.

Customer Question Will this be a direct replacement for my 2018 Raptor?

Asked by: James - 2/25/2025
Customer Answer A majority of the 2018 Raptors have electronic parking brakes, and would require the use of kit K6803. If you do happen to have the rarer manual parking brake 2018 Raptor, than you would need part number K6268.

Customer Question Have a 2012 F-150 super crew, Harley Davidson edition. Seems that this truck loves to eat pads and rotors, usually get two years between total replacement of parts. Planning to tow a 37 foot travel trailer from the Atlantic to the Pacific and up to the Yukon. Can you put my mind and vehicle at ease by advising me of the appropriate configuration that you would recommend for this adventure?

Asked by: Clips - 3/11/2021
Customer Answer For a towing application, you may want to consider the Power Stop Z36 Kit, since it has a bit more stopping power than the Z23s, but other than that, Power Stop's kits work perfectly fine for towing, even in hilly or mountainous areas.

Customer Question are these replacements brakes lighter than the stock setup?

Asked by: Chris - 6/19/2017
Customer Answer If they are, it's not by much and it would only be due to the material taken out from the slots and drilling. The rotors are still fairly heavy, one-piece, cast-iron rotors, though we haven't done a weight comparison between them and brand new stock blanks.

Customer Question I've recently purchased this kit for my 2012 Raptor and I'm wondering what is the difference between this kit and the kit for the 2015-2017 f-150/Raptor? Seeing that the rotors are the same diameter. The reason I'm asking is I have yet to install this kit on my 2012 because I may be in the market for the 2017.

Asked by: James Geis - 6/4/2017
Customer Answer As long as your potential new truck has a manual parking brake, this kit will actually work on the 2015-2017 F150s and Raptors. We split up the listings because we were initially told that the brakes may be different on the 2015s versus the 2012-2014 trucks.

Customer Question i am looking at getting the Z23 kit for my '12 FX4 SCrew. i was wondering what warranty or life expediency i would be looking at?

Asked by: rbarbee7 - 4/3/2017
Customer Answer Power Stop offers a 60-day No-Hassle Warranty and a 3-year/60,000 mile limited warranty against factory defects, but not wear. Total life expectancy really depends a long on how you drive, how much you tow, and what you're towing so it's tough to provide even a rough estimate of pad/rotor life.

Asked by: JD - 5/19/2015
Customer Answer If that 10% of towing isn't too heavy, then is probably a better kit your truck than the Z36 tow kit, due to the fact that the Z36 pads tend to be harder on the rotors than what you're likely to get out of the extra stopping ability.

Customer Question I tow very little with my truck. Maybe 3% of the time. What is the trade off if any from the towing pads to the ceramic pads? Would like to not sacrifice stopping efficiently much when I do decide to tow something.

Asked by: Leonard - 2/23/2015
Customer Answer The towing pads have a little bit more of an aggressive compound, so you'd end up with slightly more noise, dust generation, and rotor wear than Power Stops more standard Z23 carbon-ceramic pads. Frankly, if you're not towing too often or too heavy of loads, you may be happier with the Z23s, given that they still offer a pretty significant improvement in stopping ability over stock.
