The 2017-2023 Raptors push out a lot of power, but that power comes with a lot of heat, and the stock transmission bypass valve can only take so much strain before letting you and your Raptor down. The Mishimoto Thermal Bypass Valve for 2017-2023 Ford Raptors replaces the failure-prone stock valve with a much higher-quality unit that can handle the constant heat cycling of aggressive off-road driving (especially in hot climates) without letting you or your Raptor down. The stock thermal bypass valve controls transmission fluid flow from your Raptor's transmission to the front-mounted cooler, but over time, it can start to fail and restrict fluid flow which can see your transmission temperatures climb to unsafe levels. The Mishimoto Thermal Bypass Valve is made out of more durable and reliable materials and includes both a serviceable internal thermostat that allows you to keep the Mishimoto Bypass Valve running perfectly, as well as a thermostat bypass that constantly cools your transmission fluid for really aggressive applications or extremely hot desert-running.

Strong Billet Aluminum Housing with High-Quality O-Rings and 160° Thermostat

The Mishimoto Raptor Thermal Bypass Valve was built and designed from the ground up to provide improved function and reliability over the stock bypass valve. The housing of each Mishimoto Bypass valve is CNC machined out of billet aluminum with external heat sinks to help improve heat dissipation through the unit. The body comes topped off with a black anodized finish for a great look. The 160° thermostat sits inside the body behind a threaded access port, allowing its easy removal. Mishimoto also includes a thermostat bypass that generates constant fluid flow through the transmission cooler, though Mishimoto only recommends using the bypass in warmer climates. Each Bypass Valve comes with high-quality and heat-resistant Viton O-rings that are more reliable and longer-lasting than the factory rubberized O-rings. The Bypass Valve is an easy, drop-in replacement for the stock bypass valve and comes backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Bypass only recommended for warm climates: Mishimoto only recommends using the included thermostat bypass in warm climates, due to the fact that the 10R80s due to have reach proper operating temperatures to maintain their longevity.
