This innovative system automatically locks or unlocks your tailgate when your power doors are activated. Pop & Lock's system uses an OEM factory style manual lock so you can still use your key to secure your tailgate when you need to.

Pop & Lock's system mounts inside the tailgate handle and is hidden from view for a tamper-proof design and added security. The Automatic Tailgate lock adds convenience as it includes all the wiring you'll need in order to gain the convenience of activating this feature from inside your cab. 2014 Ford Raptor

I had a little trouble getting the wires through the tail gate. But, it was very easy to install. I gives me peace-of-mine to know that when I lock my truck the tail gate is locked, also.

2014 Ford F150 supercrew

Love this product..... bought it in conjunction with a Bakflip VP cover to secure items in the bed... now there is no doubt the tailgate is locked.... fairly easy install.... maybe a 2.5 or 3 on a 1-5 scale because you have to run wires thru the firewall and tie into exsisting ones under the door seal... but is very easy..... only complaint is the actuator that works the lock is a bit loud... but that may be more due to the thin metal of todays trucks and its a hollow tailgate with nothing to dampen the sound.... otherwise its great

2014 F150 STX supercab 6.5' bed

I love having this. The install was easy, I was unsure when ordering because I'm not a fan of messing with my trucks wiring. Turns out that it was simple and quick. I do hear it rattle if I slam the gate but meh, not enough to care about. Truck should've came with this. Highly recommended

2012, Ford, F150

Pop and lock automatic tail gate lock works very well. It was a very easy install that took me an hour and a lot of time was spent looking for the correct wires in the harness. Originally, I wanted to tie into the passenger power lock / unlock but I had a hard time locating those in my super cab and gave up and used the drivers side power. I thought it might be nice to allow the tail gate to stay locked until you pressed unlock button from the key fob twice.

2014 F150

Great purchase. Was sick and tired of using the key on the tailgate. This should have come from the factory. Hardest part was finding the right wires to tap. Under the front rocker panels there are groups of wires the are heat shrunk together, 2 wires turn into 3 or 4. Find those and you are in business.

2009 F150 Supercrew Platinum

Product went in as advertised with slight adjustments to accommodate my tailgate step. Be sure to crimp the wire connectors all the way to ensure the actuator gets powered when you lock and unlock the doors. Works great. I wish I had done this years ago.

2014 F150

Product works great once installed. Installation took a little longer than expected. I hooked to the wires under the driver side kick panel. There are several wires that match the color given in the instructions. It would have helped if the instructions stated to use the bigger wires. All the other wires in the bundle were a smaller wire.

Install went fairly well but electrical actuator is completely dead. I would have sent the whole thing back but I found a used actuator from a truck body that worked.

This is a must have for any truck owner. product comes complete as illustrated. This is the way the tailgate should work from the factory. A secured bed that locks/unlock via your key fob. Add a bed cover and you will have a secure bed. Order from Stage 3 best prices and fast delivery.

Perfect product! Easy to install. Had no problems with installation or wiring. Thanks to good manual. The only thing that it did different was the access hole for the wiring... Instead of running wire through the floor I used rubber plug in the engine compartment. Just don't like to have a hole in the floor... because I drive off road a lot.

Dies this replace the existing lock or is it an addition to it? Will I still be able to use the same key to lock/unlock if I so choose?

The Pop & Lock does not replace your current lock/tumbler/key. It's more of a module that ties into your other door wiring to tie your tailgate lock into the rest of your F150's power door locks, and you'll keep your current key.

Why is the mounting plate looks different from the original Pop&Lock PL8250? On any other web sites it has a triangle shape. I want to buy this product, but not sure if it will fit to my Ford F-150, 2014. Thanks.
