2021 ford ranger tremor
Definitely heavier duty then the original. Fox shocks were leaking at 25K miles.

2021 Ford Ranger
Fantastic lift just as I expected from Old Man Emu. I did not like how miss leading the heavy weight title is in that my kit came with the medium rate rear leaf springs. I called stage 3 and spoke with them and they assured me that this is the way the kit comes. The ride after installing the kit is great. I’ve had the truck out for two weeks now off-road. One in Utah and the other in Colorado. The lift performance was exceptional.

Customer Question Which OME kit (heavy load vs Standard Load) is better for my situation? I have a 1000lb camper mounted on the bed of my ranger pretty much all the time. Light off road.

Customer Answer 1000lb of full time bed weight, the heavy load kit would be what is recommended.

Customer Question Is this compatible with the tremor?

Customer Answer Yes, all of these parts will bolt up to a Tremor trimmed Ranger no problem. You would see slightly less lift height as the Tremor is already slightly taller from factory, but this will all bolt up and get you additional lift on the Tremor Ranger.

Customer Question I'm interested in the OME kits. My question is about the standard load springs and payload. If I get the standard load springs will the truck maintain the factory payload of 1700 lbs? The previous answers above stated 800 lbs levels the truck. I'm hauling a lot of firewood and towing a 3400 lb boat. Payload and towing are my main concerns

Customer Answer From a technical standpoint, nothing will change your truck's rated factory tow/payload ratings as they appear on your truck's door stickers, though that does work both ways, and this kit won't INCREASE your rated payload rating, either. The extra ride height from the rear leafs should help you handle whatever load you have better, especially after the front strut assemblies add front ride height.

Customer Question I would like to purchase the OME for my Ford Ranger. I will be using my OEM bumper with a hidden winch and the bed will remain empty unless driving to the hunting spot. Then the gear will be unloaded and bed empty again. With that said, which kit is recommended since I’ll have a winch?

Customer Answer You can go either way, and really it depends on how much front leveling you're trying to get. Unfortunately, ARB doesn't provide specific hide height specs, since their kits are designed for the Australian market. If you want slightly more front lift, the Heavy Load kit would be your best bet, though we can't 100% guarantee what kind of stance you'll get.

Customer Question I plan to have the factory bumper with a mounting plate and winch. Is this the kit I need, or is this kit only for a complete steel bumper and winch? My second question is that I don't plan on having a crazy amount of weight in the bed constantly. Will this kit be too much for me on the rear end? Thanks

Customer Answer The real issue here is that this kit is really meant for the Australian market, where they have a strict legal 40mm limit on lift, so this kit is designed to provide that lift in conjunction with a full steel bumper on the front of the truck. However, we don't have to worry about that in North America, so you can use this kit with the stock bumper and a hidden winch or more basic winch mount without issues. HOWEVER, you may get more lift than what the front coilover assemblies are rated for on a true "heavy load" truck. The same general idea also applies to the rear, and in North America, it's not something we really need to worry about. That being said, we can't guarantee what kind of lift or rake you'll get, and if you are looking for a specific stance, your best bet would be to call us directly at 623-434-5277 or email us at [email protected].

Customer Answer According to ARB, this kit does not change your Ranger's factory rated tow or payload capacities. The leaf springs just provide more ride height (and a better ride) so that you sag less within the bounds of your rated payload, GVWR, and GCWR.

Customer Question This kit is optimal for Rangers that carry a heavy load. It functions from 12,000 lbs to GVM, but its optimal performance lies at 12,000+ lbs. You say it doesn’t up payload but it literally says in the description that it is 12,000lb payload when the current ranger has a max payload of 2000lb and 7500 towing.

Customer Answer The leaf spring are CAPABLE of handling 12,000lbs due to their tensile strength. HOWEVER, a lot more goes into your vehicles' factory tow rating (axle, gearing, transmission, transmission cooling, tires, wheels, brakes, etc.). There is no upgrade for the Rangers that can change the numbers on your Ranger's door, and pushing beyond them opens you up to a ton of liability if something were to occur. We have updated our description, since, admittedly, it was a bit confusing.

Customer Question Will the rear spring support the payload capacity of the factory springs? I know they say the fronts are more heavy duty but what about the rear?

Customer Answer So the rear leafs with this kit are actually the heavy load type compared to the standard load kit. I currently run the Standard Load kit and 800 lbs in the bed will level the truck out. With the heavy load kit it is designed to have a consistent extra weight of 1320 lbs when traveling and still provide the lift with little to no sag. And yes you should be able to put the 800 lbs on there too.

Customer Answer The rear leafs in this kit are Old Man Emu's 1.7" lift rear springs. The springs won't increase your truck's rated load capacities, but the increase in rear ride height does help reduce the sag from having weight in the bed.

Customer Answer This kit will likely bolt up to an RWD Ranger without too many issues. However, you'll likely get more ride height out of the front strut/spring combination than the 4WD trucks, which could be a good or a bad thing, depending on what you're going for. Neither ourselves nor ARB have done a test-fit on an RWD truck, so we can't 100% guarantee fitment or what kind of ride quality/handling you'll end up with.
