Great purchase! Really opens up the 5.0 and with the tunes it makes the truck fun and responsive to drive. The E85 performance tune really makes the truck take off.

Customer Question Do any of the tuners listed have adjustment options for tire size/gear ratio? My 2014 F150 is getting 35s and possibly a ring/pinion change if I'm unsatisfied with the factory ratio. And what kind of power gains will I see out of this phase 1 kit?

Customer Answer All of the Bully Dog/SCT tuning devices available with this kit ca adjust tire sizes and gear ratios. Power is dependent on what specific tune and octane you're using. Using good fuel and a performance/tow tune, you'll probably see something around 25horsepower and 35lb-ft of peak torque.

Customer Question Can I expect to receive mpg gains with this package, considering normal driving.

Customer Answer As long as you drive light you're trying to get good fuel economy, you should see a slight bump in fuel mileage with 5-Star's tunes, all other things being equal.

Customer Question I don't know much about what the Phase 1 package will provide me. I have a stock 2013 F150 crewcab 4x4 XLT 5.0 V8. Do I need the dry filter or oiled? Which is preferred? Is the exhaust change out something I can do at home? Will there be any necessary tuning to my engine once I change out the intake and exhaust?

Customer Answer Filter choice comes entirely down to personal preference. Personally, most of us prefer going with the dry version, as its easier to clean and you avoid the need to buy air filter oil down the road. The cat-back kit can be installed at home, depending on your access to tools, though the cat-back included in this kit only fits 145" and 157" wheelbases. Tuning isn't strictly required for either the intake or cat-back system, but an SCT Livewire with SCT's tunes is included in the package to get your truck more power.

Customer Question Im interested in this package except i would like the 4" diamond eye stainless exhaust... And what is the difference between this package and the airaid one?

Customer Answer If you mean this Airaid and Tuner Package, then the two biggest differences is that the Airaid package does not come with a cat-back, but does include 5-Star's custom tuning, while this Phase 1 Package includes a cat-back, but only comes with a standard SCT Livewire with pre-loaded performance tunes. If you want to swap out the exhaust system with this package, just give us a call directly at 1-877-578-2433 so we can put together a custom order.

Customer Question I have the cat back exhaust already. What would be the price of this with the the 85 mm throttle body instead of the exhaust?

Customer Question Just wanted to confirm what came with the Phase 1 kit for the 2011-2014 F150 5.0? The written description on the web page and the video on the same page describe different items (MBRP exhaust vs aFE exhaust; SCT Livewire TS vs Edge CTS ). Thanks.

Customer Answer Yeah... about that. We've made some revisions to this kit in the time we shot this video due to both customer demand and lackluster power results with the original kit. Basically, the description is correct. The Phase 1 kit comes standard an aFe Stage 2 cold air intake, MBRP 3" aluminized cat-back, and an SCT Livewire tuner with "canned" SCT Tunes only. That being said, you can give us a call at 1-877-578-2433 to customize the kit in any way you please.

Customer Question will this performance package also fit a 2013 model ford f-150? It only says 2011-2012.

Customer Answer The intake does fit the 2013 however the Edge tuner only tunes the 2011-2012 right now. We could do this package with an SCT livewire which does have tunes for your 2013 F150 5.0L pre-loaded.
