Low-Cost Plastic Plug for eBOV VTA Mods

One of the easiest ways to squeeze a more aggressive and noticeable sound out of your 2013 to 2024 F150EcoBoost's turbo system is by doing the quick, easy, and dirty "VTA Mod", where you remove the eBOV's outlet from it's tubing that runs under your truck's motor. However, you have to plug that tubing with something or other, and folks get mixed results with custom solutions. That's where this low-cost plastic VTA mod plug comes in. The plug caps off the eBOV tube and gives your own VTA mod a clean, classy look while you add some extra sound to your F150's turbocharger system. Each plug is made out of formed ABS plastic with a grey finish.

Quick and easy install about 5 minutes no need to lift or ramp truck... only thing i didn't like was no filter with it. I would definitely suggest buy a filter not for the worry of something getting in the motor but for the sound..... with out filter the blowoff sounds like it's coming out of a big straw. With filter it takes the plastic sound out of it. Sounds so good. Even sent a few videos to my friends and they agreed that it needed a filter. Go to your local auto parts store and get one you won't be sorry...

2015 f150 ecoboost 3.5

I wanted more blow off sound and this does the trick but at an expense. Just capping the recirculating tube does have affects! You will notice the turbos do not spool up as fast, maybe with a tune this could change? I took the plug out and went back to the way it was, not a cool sound but I prefer the proformance.

2015 F150 3.5 Ecoboost

Install time was likely less than five minutes. It was a matter of locating the pipe and fitting the plug. It was very easy to access from underneath the truck. The sound of the BOV is noticeably louder. I have not noticed any degradation of performance either.

Great fit, gives my 2015 2.7 ecoboost that great bov sound. Just wish that it would have an available filter to fit over the where the pipe connected.

Must have for any turbo enthusiast. 5 min install. It's not overly loud. Some passengers may not even notice unless you really cut throttle under boost.

Install took about 2 minutes, incredibly simple. I used a large zip tie to secure the lose pipe. The vent sound is nice and loud now.

2017 f150

Vta mod. The best cheapest mod you can do. Highly recommend this to anyone with an ecoboost f150. It literally too 30 seconds to install. It's now twice as loud since I ve purchased a cai also.!!!!

This super easy to install plug allows an amazing pssssh from the blowoff valve to happen. That and the turbo whistle kinda turn me on. Best $25 I’ve spent in a long time.

Works great, my son loves the “whoosh” sound when I drive by. I think it took longer for me to get my old ass on the ground and under the truck than it did to install the VTA plug

Buyer beware, meaning actually spend 15 seconds looking at the product page. This goes into the recirculate tube, not the opening on the intake piping. Not sure why stage3 thinks that's a good idea - meaning why would you want to leave this attached on one side and not just plug the intake tubing? I ended up not using the plug because I tossed that pipe a while ago, but it's probably not worth shipping back. I can't rate the product low for that, it is my fault. Even if it is a dumb design.

2018 F150 3.5L

Install was a breeze. Took less than 5 minutes without any tools other than a zip tie and wire cutter (to trim the zip tie). Makes a noticeable blow off sound, not too loud. Very fitting sound for a truck.
