The only thing better than giving your F150's EcoBoost a new roar from an MBRP exhaust is when that kit comes with awesome black tip. MBRP's 4" Black Tip Cat-Back adds an aggressive, new sound to your wicked F150 build and looks great while doing it thanks to its black powder coated tip. The MBRP Black Tip Cat-Back Kit features larger diameter tubing and a revised muffler design that increases the sound volume and tone of your F150's 3.5L EcoBoost V6 so that your truck gets a head-turning exhaust note in practically no time at all. The kit features a stock-style single-exit design with the tip exiting in the factory location behind the passenger's side rear tire which makes the cat-back a fairly simple replacement for stock.

4" Diameter, Aluminized Steel Tubing with 5" Black Tip

The MBRP 4" Black Tip Cat-Back offers up excellent fitment and an awesome sound in a quality exhaust system. Each kit features 4" diameter tubing that's all mandrel-bent to provide smooth exhaust flow throughout the entire kit. The 4" Black-Tip Kit comes with a revised muffler design that generates a much louder and more aggressive exhaust note than the factory exhaust with only mild levels of interior drone. The kit is topped off with a 5" diameter slash-cut and rolled exhaust tip that looks awesome and is a perfect way to "de-chrome" your F150's styling theme. The entire system is made out of low-cost aluminized steel. MBRP includes all necessary installation hardware and instructions. Minor trimming is required for some wheelbase options.

14’ F150 3.5 supercrew Xlt

Not quite the sound I was expecting. Cold start, idle and full throttle sounds pretty good but part throttle cruising drone is nearly unbearable. I did however pick up 1.7 mpg, better throttle response and no more coming out of torque converter lock up when ascending at cruising speeds. I probably should have gone with the smaller kit, but this one was cheaper at the time. Install was fairly straight forward but I wouldn’t recommend doing it solo, I did while lying on my back and it sucked to be honest.

2012 Ford f-150 3.5L ecoboost

I love the look of the big 4 inch exhaust pipe it makes the truck look more bad ass looking. The only problem with this system is that it wasn't the sound that I thought it would be i thought that it would be a deeper sound like how a cigarette boat sounds instead it sounds like a rice rocket and I am not happy about that kind of sound basically it sounds like the factory exhaust system has rusted out. Now with having double cold air intake from afe that i bought a few year's ago. I don't have the problem with to much air coming into the intake and not enough room for the air to come out of the factory exhaust system. So now with the 4 inch exhaust cat back system it has really improved the performance of the truck. I am now thinking about getting the rest of the exhaust system with the new down pipes for the truck and I am hoping that will give me a lot more power out of the motor that's my plan and I really hope that it will help out a lot more. I still can't pick out a power programmer for the truck there's just so many to pick from and just about all of the programmer's I have looked at everyone has said that they are really great and that's making it harder for me to pick the right one for my truck.
