I run MBRP on all of my vehicles. Overall, the installation was a breeze thanks to the detailed instructions. Only thing that I would point out is to be prepared to cut the resonator delete pipe to length based on your cab/bed length. All you need is the correct tools to cut as MBRP provides instructions on desired length based on your truck specs. Everything bolted up easily and quality is great. I can verify that this system DOES work on trucks with the OEM power steps. Sound is amazing; very throaty and deep. It does have some noise in the cab; not so much drone but you are just constantly reminded of the presence of the exhaust. It is an impressive system but do not buy if you want the cab to remain silent.

Install Time was a pain the parts did not fit properly at all. The exhaust scratches all up and looks terrible on the pipes. Exhaust is nowhere near as loud as I was expecting. Would not purchase again material is incredibly cheap.

Love this exhaust, it is nice and loud and really brings out the sound if my trucks V8. Install only took about 1.5 hours and it was totally worth the time. I always get good looks when I start up the truck and take off. It is a bit noisy inside the can of the truck, but if you don't mind that it is an awesome exhaust to have and it goes well with my trucks colors.

Installed in 2hrs, looks great but didn't like the sound. Too much drone in the cab. I swapped out the muffler for a Borla and still used the MBRP pipes. Sounds much better

This is amazing addition to my truck. Yes little bit of drone in cab at 75 mph. Think because exit is in front of tire... Would not suggest for anyone living in a uptight Home Owners Association. But gives truck character. I am 50+ and helped my gas mileage and if you have a v-8 it is nice to hear it..

Install and quality of parts are you get what you pay for on the cheaper exhaust. The provided hardware for the the catback to mate up to the stock exhaust was way too long and had to be swapped out for correct hardware to even work. The exhaust keeps moving even though the clamps are extremely tight. Going to have to tack weld the exhaust where the clamps are so it stops moving and vibrating on the body. Also the black coating on the tips hasn't held up well and it's only been on my truck for 8 months. Will look at other brands in the future or custome.

Customer Question Will the PCM and the ECU pick up the change by exhaust difference in the back pressure?

Customer Answer A cat-back alone does not cause a big enough change in back pressure or AFR to cause issues with your tuning. The slight changes are compensated for by the stock tuning on its own.

Customer Answer This cat-back kit will fit F150s with a 157" wheelbase, though it will require some trimming of its inlet pipe for fitment.

Customer Question What is the total removal & install time?

Customer Answer That depends on the equipment you have and whether or not you're doing the install on a vehicle lift or just jack stands. In general, removing the stock exhaust and installing this cat-back will take about 1-2 hours for folks that are mechanically inclined. It'll be close to two (or more), if you need to cut the stock exhaust to remove it from the truck and/or need to trim some of MBRP's tubing for your truck's wheelbase. Less if you have access to a lift and have a 145" wheelbase that doesn't require trimming.

Customer Question does this exhause get in the way of the power running boards?

Customer Answer Fitment is tight, but the kit will clear the OEM and and AMP's Power Step Running Boards. If you are concerned, both the AMP and factory running boards can be trimmed fairly easily with basic tools, if you do have a fitment issue.

Customer Question How does this exhaust fair in winter climates?

Customer Answer It'll actually do pretty well. While the base material is just aluminized steel, it's surrounded in a black ceramic coat that won't corrode. As long as you manage not to hit anything that damages the ceramic, the kit should last you a long time.

Customer Question Are there any heat issues considering it sits next closer to the truck body and the side steps?

Customer Answer Aside from telling your back seat passengers to be a bit more careful when exiting your truck, there really isn't much of an issue with heat. As long as the tips are positioned correctly, you shouldn't be scorching your truck's side steps or paint. You will have to be careful with clearance for some aftermarket side steps (Namely N-Fab Wheel-to-Wheel Steps and similar systems), however, but most OEM side steps will clear without problems.

Customer Question Is this muffler the same as the xp and pro series?

Customer Answer All of the MBRP pre-axle kits use the same overall muffler design. It's just made using different material, depending on the system. This kit's muffler is aluminized steel with a black ceramic coating, the XP series is 409 stainless steels, and the Pro Series is 304 stainless steel.
