Hinged Storage Box that Makes Cargo Management Easy

Finding adequate storage in your bed for smaller items generally means getting a huge toolbox that can severely limit your tonneau cover options, but our friends over at Undercover have a unique solution with their awesome Swing Case Storage System for the 2019-2023 Ford Rangers. The Swing Case is basically a bed-mounted storage box that comes with a locking hinge assembly that allows it swing out from your Ranger's bed to get extremely easy access to whatever you have stored in the case. When you need to hit the road, the Swing Case simply swings back into your bed and latches onto an included rail which keeps it held in place no matter how aggressive your application gets. The Swing Case has an extremely impressive 1.5 cubic feet of interior storage that gives you plenty of room for securing the smaller essentials that you may need while out on the road or at the job site.

Durable Storage Box with Easy, No-Drill Installation

Undercover carefully designed their swing case to drop right into your 2019-2023 Ford Ranger with practically no hassles all while taking care of at least some of your cargo management needs. The Swing Case is made from an extremely durable plastic that can shake off bumps and bruises from just about whatever else is floating around in your bed, but won't rust or corrode like traditional metal tool boxes. The Swing Case bolts right in to your truck with a no-drill install and comes with the case itself, striker bracket and hinge plate. The case can easily be lifted off of its hinge if you need your gear close. The case comes with a built-in lock for its cover as well as a loop for a padlock that keeps your case safe from anyone with bad intentions. Undercover includes a full set of installation hardware and instructions that make getting the Swing Case installed and working extremely simple.

Driver's Side Only: This version of the Undercover Swing Case only fits the driver's side (left side) of your 2019-2023 Ford Ranger. A version for the passenger's side is also available.

Bed Light Switch Note: the driver's side swing case blocks the switch for the factory bed lights when stowed. When open, the bed switch can be reached.

Not for plastic bed liners: the Swing Case will not fit in conjunction with a plastic bed liner.

Excellent fit. Easy install. Anti theft/Locking device should be redesigned for added strength and made of metal. Be aware: if you have a factory spray in bed liner, the liner material will make removing the bolts very hard and will require a vice grip and possibly new bolts.

2019 Ranger

Ordered a driver side storage case and I am quite happy with it. If you have a spray in liner, I recommend running a tap to remove the liner on threads. It'll be worth the effort. The case fits more than I thought it would, I have a 40' recovery strap, snow chains, tie down straps and a small shovel in there. Easy install, handy storage case. Thanks!

2020 FORD RANGER XLT 4X4

I highly recommend taps for those who have spray in bed liners. M6 x 1.00 for the small bolts and 5/16" 20 for the larger ones. Mounting hardware is solid, but as many have said the lock is lacking security being mostly plastic. Overall a good product.

This little toolbox is fantastic. It’s sleek, slim and not easily seen which is great because the only flaw I can see is that if someone wants to get into it I don’t imagine it would be all that difficult. It’s a sturdy plastic but the way the lock is set up it would t be too hard to get into. The hinge system works flawlessly so smooth and easy to use. Very easy instal even with the bed liner spray being in the screw holes making my install a little harder. I have some cheap tools, my trucks jack system, and dog toys in it now.

ABSOLUTE LIFE SAVER. This thing is amazing. Fits perfectly OEM, very easy to install with basic hand tools, and stores everything I need for work. I was concerned it was going to fit loose when it's latched into position, but it doesn't bounce around at all. Everything is exactly where I leave it, even when going over inclement terrain. Getting a passenger side one as well in a couple days. I just wish they had an aluminum option

I watched the installation video before I bought it. It was easy to install just like the video said. I did not have to drill at all. I just need torx bits. It works great. I am think about buying another one for the passenger side.

2022 Ranger

I bought this as I was downsizing from a full size truck and was concerned about losing storage in the backseat. I’ve had this for a month and will never have a truck of any size without it! Easy install (and I had to deal with a spray in bedliner) and excellent for my hitch, ratchet straps, and other odds and ends.

The mounting brackets on this kit bolt in the same area that a majority of bed extenders do, so in most cases you would not be able to use both at the same time.

Yes, these cases do not affect the tie down mounting, and at worst can be swung out of the way to put the strap on the tie down mount, and than swing back closed.

The Swing Case does not have issues installing on trucks without mid-mount tie-downs. From our understanding, Undercover includes all necessary hardware.

Is it possible to get the brackets separately from the case? I have two cases, and two Ranger brackets, but they're not suitable for a 2019 Raptor. The ones I have, the hinge part and the latch part are a single piece and don't line up with the stock holes.

The case will still work on a truck with a spray-in bedliner. The only potential issue you may run into is getting the stock bolts out for install.

Whats to keep from someone stealing this unit? The lock on the box is nice but you can easily swing it out lift it up and take off with it.....

The Swing Case can only be removed when unlatched and swung out from the side of the bed, and it's difficult to see/reach the release catch on the bottom of the case with the tailgate closed. Though honestly, it's not perfect, and if you're concerned about security, you should probably use this in conjunction with a tonneau cover.

If you have a Gator Hard-Folding tonneau cover, then you should be fine, though you may have to relocate the included bed rail clamps or use a different style clamp. You may an issue with their soft-fold. Give us a call directly at 623-434-5277 so we can get more specific about what tonneau cover you're running.

Does the Swing case work with the Full BedRug liner?

It can. You'll have to punch holes through the BedRug in order to get at the holes, and possibly trim the liner, if you can't get the right angles.

It will work with a factory spray-in bed liner just fine. It will not work with the factory plastic drop-in liner without needing to trim the liner quite a bit.
