Hinged Storage Box that Makes Cargo Management Easy

Finding adequate storage in your bed for smaller items generally means getting a huge toolbox that can severely limit your tonneau cover options, but our friends over at Undercover have a unique solution with their awesome Swing Case Storage System for the 2019-2023 Ford Rangers. The Swing Case is basically a bed-mounted storage box that comes with a locking hinge assembly that allows it swing out from your Ranger's bed to get extremely easy access to whatever you have stored in the case. When you need to hit the road, the Swing Case simply swings back into your bed and latches onto an included rail which keeps it held in place no matter how aggressive your application gets. The Swing Case has an extremely impressive 1.5 cubic feet of interior storage that gives you plenty of room for securing the smaller essentials that you may need while out on the road or at the job site.

Durable Storage Box with Easy, No-Drill Installation

Undercover carefully designed their swing case to drop right into your 2019-2023 Ford Ranger with practically no hassles all while taking care of at least some of your cargo management needs. The Swing Case is made from an extremely durable plastic that can shake off bumps and bruises from just about whatever else is floating around in your bed, but won't rust or corrode like traditional metal tool boxes. The Swing Case bolts right in to your truck with a no-drill install and comes with the case itself, striker bracket and hinge plate. The case can easily be lifted off of its hinge if you need your gear close. The case comes with a built-in lock for its cover as well as a loop for a padlock that keeps your case safe from anyone with bad intentions. Undercover includes a full set of installation hardware and instructions that make getting the Swing Case installed and working extremely simple.

Passenger's Side Only: This version of the Undercover Swing Case only fits the passenger's side (right side) of your 2019-2023 Ford Ranger. A version for the driver's side is also available.

Bed Light Switch Note: the driver's side swing case blocks the switch for the factory bed lights when stowed. When open, the bed switch can be reached.

Not for plastic bed liners: the Swing Case will not fit in conjunction with a plastic bed liner.

2020 Ford Ranger XLT

By and larger, I really like the swing case. You can really pack a lot of stuff in there. It seems to be well built and installation is a breeze. I only have one gripe, and it's minor... The case doesn't swing out far enough, or maybe with the right type of articulation, that when used with a tonneau cover, you can't open the lid to the swing case without partially rolling/retracting back the tonneau.

2020 Ford Ranger Lariat

Works great. A lot better to store gear like jumper cables, tie downs etc in one of these then under the seat in the Ranger since they decided to not do a 60/40 seat. Especially if you have a car seat in there like me. Only complaint would be the lock to keep someone from unhooking if the tailgate is down is a little pathetic but I guess since you're tailgate has to be down there is enough security there. Also, it's hilarious how Ford is charging between $250 and $299 for these on their site. Better to get them here

Will this fit in the 2024 Ranger.

The manufacturer does not list this part number as working on the 2024 models, and we have not tried to install one on a 2024 so we can't guarantee there would not be any clearance issues.

Will the swing out box work with a Bed Rug in place? And with a BAK revolver tonneau?

The Swing Case will work with a BedRug Bed Mat. If you have a complete BedRug Bed Liner, you will need to punch holes for the mounting plates, if not trim a bit. The Swing Case will work with a BAK Revolver Tonneau Cover.

If you install BOTH boxes, will they both swing open like saloon doors? Or would you have to swing one at a time?

You would only be able towing one out at a time. The Swing Case boxes themselves are too wide on the Ranger's bed to have a "saloon" style opening. See our install video of the Driver's Side Swing Case to get a better idea of the size.

I have a 2021 ranger xlt with sprayed on bed liner and a rough country tonneau tri fold cover will this fit?

The swing case should fit under a Rough Country Tonneau cover, however, we have not tried the combination ourselves. As long as the tonneau doesn't protrude below the bed rails, you should be good. As for the bed liner, the swing case will work fine with just about any spray-on bedliner. That being said, some thicker (or more poorly applied) spray-on bed liners may cover some of the required bolt locations, and you may need to do some minor picking or drilling to clear those holes out.

Do you still have access to the tie down on the side the box is on?

Not with the box stowed against the side. However, the Swing Case's brackets do allow for the reinstallation of the stock tie downs, so if you do need to use them, you can always just remove the case itself. Check out our install video of the Driver's Side Swing Case for an idea.

Can these be installed with the bed extender in place?

The Swing Case will not fit with the Bed Extender. Unfortunately, the brackets for each have to mount in similar locations.

Yep. As long as your stock tie-downs are still in place, the Swing Case will fit with a spray-in bed liner.

When mounted, does the width of the box extend out passed the wheel well?

When in its stowed position, the box will still stick out a few inches past the wheel arch of the bed, but not dramatically.
