Powerful Kit with Better Sound

The basic speaker setups of your 2009 to 2014 F150 Super Cab just can't compare with the audio setups of trucks equipped with the optional subwoofers and other stereo gear found in some of Ford's expensive Sony HD Audio Package. If you wanted an audio system with a little more range, you'd generally have to deal with a ton of splicing and custom wiring, but our friends over at Kicker Audio have a different idea. They developed this subwoofer package to not only match the sound output of the Sony audio system, but to blow it out of the water.

Easy Installation and Operation

This complete powered subwoofer kit features a 10" subwoofer (2" larger than the Sony) that's powered by a 200-watt amp all integrated into an easy to install enclosure that fits under your rear seats. The Kicker VSS (Vehicle Specific Solution) SubStage kit easily wires into your factory audio system and bolts into holes that would've been used for the mounting of the optional Sony subwoofer. The kit's easy and quick installation and awesome power mean that your 2009 to 2014 F150 Super Cab will be absolutely rocking in almost no time at all. The system comes with all its necessary hardware, wiring, and instructions and is backed by a 1-year warranty.

Fitment: this kit will only fit in Super Cab Models and is not compatible with the Sony HD Audio System Package on 2009 to 2010 F150s. If you're installing this system on a 2011 to 2014 F150, the Sony 8" subwoofer will need to be removed. A version for Super Crews is also available.

I have a 2014 Ford F150 Supercab without the Sony premium audio upgrade, but with MyFord Touch. Does this system come with everything needed for the install, or is there more I will need to purchase? Thanks!

This kit should come with everything you need for install, but it's not a bad idea to have a couple of extra quick-taps on-hand just in case.

Do you need to access behind stereo (dash board) to install this sub ?. Getting power to sub is ok and easy from engine compartment. My question iis about the stereo signal. Some systems on the market allows you to pick signal directly on rear speaker wires in order not to take dash board apart. I have a 2013 supercab raptor. Not the sony system. Thank you

This kit does not require you to remove the dash or tap into the head unit directly. Kicker's instructions have you tap into the wiring inside your driver's side kick panel, which is easier to access than both the actual speaker wiring or the head unit itself.

I have the ford raptor with the Sony system. If I bought this would I be able to just plug it in where the Sony sub used to be or will wiring be involved?

There would still be some amount of wiring that you would need to perform, including running power out to your truck's battery.

I have a 2011 fx4 without the Sony sound system. after looking under the rear passenger seat I see no wires or harness. I was wondering where exactly does this sub kit plug into my truck? And do I need to run anything up into the head unit?

If you don't have the Sony system, you will need to tap he wiring in your kick panel and run power up to your truck's battery.

I have a 2013 supercrew f150 with the Sony 700 watt system. Does this sub merely replace the factory unit using existing wiring or is additional wiring work necessary?

It bolts into your truck in place of the factory subwoofer, but you still need to run wiring, including power directly to your battery, as well as routing the body harness of the subwoofer.

I have a 2013 lariat super crew with the myford touchscreen display. I'm looking for a subwoofer. Which should I get? Also should I upgrade my door speakers? What would be some reasons to do so?

This subwoofer certainly isn't a terrible choice, though if you want to save some money, mount the subwoofer in a different location, or just want something different, then you can check out our Kicker 8" Hideaway Subwoofer. We make the strong argument that upgrading the door speakers is one of the best upgrades that you can make to your truck, and our Kicker KS68 Upgrade Kit is always a great choice.

This kit is the one for your truck, and no further upgrades are required for the subwoofer to function correctly.

What's the difference between the power stage and the sub stage?

The Substage Kits come with a 10" Powered Subwoofer and complete enclosure that bolts into place of the Sony Sub under the rear bench. The Powerstage system includes everything in the Substage kit as well as an additional 200w Kicker Amp for boosting power to the door speakers and a full wire harness for hooking it into your truck's head unit.

I have a 2012 f 150 fx4 with the sony hd 700 watt system. The sony 8" sub is under the passenger rear seat. I understand that the 10" kicker installs under the drivers side rear seat. I have three questions, (1) can i keep running the 8" sony sub along with the new 10" kicker sub at the same time or do i need to use the stock wiring from the sony sub to power the kicker sub? FINALLY, I had took out the sony 8" sub a while ago and added packing (nylon pillow stuffing) into the speaker box to iliminate the hollow sounding bass and it deepened the bass. Can I, will I need to do that to the 10" kicker sub? Thank you, Brett

That's incorrect. The Kicker Substage kit installs under the passenger side rear seats in place of the Sony Sub as a bolt-in kit. If you were looking to add an additional woofer to work in conjunction with your Sony Sub, you could technically do it with this kit, with custom wiring and tapping a speaker, but you'd probably be much better off a Kicker 8" Hideaway Sub, which is designed for more general audio applications.

This kit will not fit your standard cab Tremor. Your best option is the Kicker Hideaway Subwoofer Kit that can be placed nearly anywhere.

Does this system only work if you have the sony radio system?..i looked under my rear seat and i dont see any wire harness. i dont have the sony radio. are the wires under the carpet?

The Kicker SubStage kit can be used in both the standard and upgraded Sony system trucks with no problems. The key thing to know is with the PowerStage kits that we offer. They can only be used in the Standard version trucks without the Sony system upgrade due to the upgraded amplifier that enhances the rest of the trucks audio system.
