The 74Weld Stage 2 HOSS 2.0 Steering Rack Housing makes the perfect upgrade for those who want to run massive 37" tires and are fine with the current power of the factory rack. This unique rack housing takes all of your factory 2.0 internals and swaps them over to this full billet aluminum housing, adding impressive amounts of strength and durability to your Bronco's steering setup. This patent pending design also completely changes the way the internals of your factor rack are stabilized, helping deliver more reliability for every adventure. The impressive redesign of the rack eliminates the common failure points on both sides of the rack to give you more confidence when your driving conditions become extreme. Unlike the factory rack's 1.5 points of contact, the 74Weld HOSS 2.0 achieves more stability in 4 points of contact which makes it the strongest steering rack available on the market. Better yet, this rack maintains full OEM compatibility and is fully integrated with the factory ABS electronics so you don't have to sacrifice functionality for performance.

CNC Machined 6061 Aluminum Construction

74Weld purposefully left a ton of material in the critical areas of the rack system to make it much stronger over the factory cast aluminum housing. The HOSS 2.0 is crafted from 6061 aluminum and was then modeled in CAD so 74Weld could strategically reinforce the weak points identified through impacts, frame twists, and various off-road scenarios. By adding more material in the high-stress zones, the rack housing is significantly stronger than your factory system. It's important to note that the factory 14mm tie rods are not the best when paired with the HOSS 2.0 Steering Rack. If you plan on taking your Bronco off-road, these are not the tie rods you want to rely on to get you back home. 74Weld recommends ICON Tie Rods for anything from 0-2" lift. If you are running more than a 2" lift, you must go with a clevis style heim joint setup. Factory Tie Rod Note: If you purchase this rack you MUST either purchase ICON or some aftermarket tie rod with a proper fitting boot. If the boots are not designed to fit the end diameter of a HOSS 2.0 and properly seal, water will get in your rack and destroy it. We recommend the ICON tie rods which come with boots and fit the racks.
