Our 2012 Expedition is heavy truck, plain and simple. A big SUV loaded with electronics, leather and 4 wheel drive is a lot to pack around even for a 5.4L V8 so we decided that a little help under the hood would be beneficial. On top of that, it was about time we opened up the exhaust and got a more aggressive V8 rumble out of this truck so we swapped in a Magnaflow Exhaust. You can purchase these exact mods in the product section at the bottom of this page.
Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust Kit
We wanted to add a nice, mean exhaust note to our Expedition. Luckily, getting the big 5.4L Triton V8s to sound amazing isn't difficult, and Magnaflow's 5.4L Expedition Cat-Back Exhaust Kit was a great fit for our truck. The Magnaflow system provides a nice, deep, and noticeable rumble when you punch the throttle, but stays clean with low levels of cabin noise at cruising speeds. 2010-2014 Expedition 5.4L Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust Kit
K&N Cold Air Intake
One of the easiest and quickest ways to add some power and throttle response to an engine is to install a cold air intake so that's exactly what we did on our Expedition. K&N has long been an icon in automotive performance so choosing their intake for this build was a no-brainer. This intake is designed to reduce intake restriction to smooth and straighten air flow, allowing our truck's engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the restrictive OEM air filter assembly. Plus the air filter can be cleaned, re-oiled and reused! 2007-2014 Expedition 5.4L K&N Cold Air Intake
