Our F250 project truck makes plenty of power from the factory so there's not much that needs to be done under the hood. That being said, we still managed to give our truck a little boost in power and style with a new S&B cold air intake and a Magnaflow 4" filter-back exhaust kit. Check out all the details below!
The first mod we've made to our Super Duty's 6.7L engine is an S&B cold air intake with an oiled filter. This system not only adds power and better throttle response, but it also gives us the ability to clean and reuse the filter so we don't have to continually swap in new paper filters. The S&B Powerstroke intake features a unique design that replaces the most restrictive components of the stock air box and tubing with far more efficient and higher-quality components that work to breathe a much higher volume of air into our engine for optimum performance. After finishing this build, we no longer sell this specific cold air intake kit on our website, but you can still give your engine more pep with these alternative Cold Air Intakes.
The exhaust systems on modern Super Duty's are a chaotic mess of filters, resonators and sensors which makes installing an aftermarket exhaust seem like it would be impossible. Thankfully our friends at Magnaflow have a solution in the form of an awesome 4" DPF-back exhaust system. The kit leaves all of the vital components in tact and uses ultra-durable 409 stainless steel construction, but with the added benefits of a high-temperature satin black coating to help keep exhaust temperatures down. Installation is straightforward and the end result is an aggressive, blacked-out look that's perfect on our F250 build. Unfortunately, this has also been discontinued on our website.
