One of the best ways to overhaul a truck's looks is by adding a brand new set of wheels and tires, and since we wanted to install a wheel and tire combination that's larger than stock, we also needed a leveling kit of some sort. While a basic spacer leveling kit would do the job, our truck's 100,000 mile suspension was more than a bit tired, so we went with a kit that overhauled the front springs and shocks with better hardware.

ReadyLIFT 2.5" Coil Spring Leveling Kit

First up was ReadyLift's 2.5" Coil Spring Leveling Kit with Shocks. The kit includes new front coil springs, isolators, and a pair of Fox 2.0 shocks that can handle the extra ride height. Basically, this kit overhauls your Super Duty's front suspension while adding both an increase in ride height and some extra off-road performance, as well as on-road ride quality. Really, there's not a downside, other than the fact that it's a bit pricier than your average spring spacer. 20x9 XD Buck 25 Wheel

With the new leveling kit installed it was time to spice up our F250's looks with a new set of wheels! We decided on a set of 20x9" XD Buck 25 Wheels with a 0mm offset. These wheels have a gloss black finish with some fine machining on the spokes, which fit it well with our truck's styling and helped balance out the chrome and black parts. 35x12.50R20 Nitto Terra Grappler G2 Tires

Being that we're the kind of folks that take our trucks just about everywhere, we needed a tire that provided both excellent on and off-road performance, so we wrapped our XDs in a set of 35x12.50" Nitto Terra Grappler G2 All-Terrain Tires. The G2s are improved versions of Nittos older Terra Grapplers and feature a quiet street ride with excellent wet-weather traction, but can also handle general off-road applications without issue. Power Stop Z36 Truck & Tow Complete Brake Kit

Now, we did have to get one thing sorted before we started towing, hauling, or just generally thrashing around this truck, and that was its brakes. While the pads and rotors on the truck didn't look like they'd been on the truck since it rolled off the line, they had definitely seen better days, and with this truck being our dedicated tow rig, we needed something a little more heavy duty than stock replacement rotors and pads. That's why we grabbed Power Stop's Z36 Front and Rear Truck & Tow Brake Kit. This complete brake package includes a four drilled and slotted rotors as well as a full set of Z36 brake pads with a unique carbon-fiber/ceramic braking compound that provides excellent stopping power without generating too much brake dust or noise.
