Top F150 Ford Performance Mods

Back in the day, Ford Performance (Formerly Ford Racing, Special Vehicle Team, and Ford Team RS) wasn't known for much outside of the much sought-after Boss 302 Manifolds and a few less sought-after cat-back and axle-back systems, but a lot has changed in the last couple of years (if not months). Our friends over at Ford Performance now offer a much wider variety of F150 parts and accessories that range from potent power adders to complete suspension overhauls to awesome wheel packages to some nice and easily-installed exterior accessories that will give your F150 a new look. With everything that Ford Performance has to offer these days, we thought we'd take a deep dive into some of our favorite Ford Performance parts and accessories for the F150s.

2015-2023 F150 SuperCrew Ford Performance Door Sill Plates

The factory door sills on the F150s are notably pretty bland, and aren't exactly the most exciting things to look at as you step into your F150 build. The Ford Performance Door Sill Plates for 2015-2023 F150 SuperCrews are a great way to add some extra flair and styling to your F150 build that will be instantly noticed by everyone who steps into your truck. Not to mention, they cover up the scuffed, scratched, and abused factory door sills, which is never a bad thing. While the F150 Ford Performance Door Sill Plates aren't going to be doing much in terms of performance, they are pretty classy and add a much more complete look to your F150's cab, especially if you're rocking other Ford Performance F150 interior parts.

2015-2020 F150 & Raptor Ford Performance Raptor-Style Steering Wheel

The factory steering wheels in the 2015-2020 F150s do their jobs adequately, but they're chiefly known for two things: 1). Eventually deteriorating down to a bare metal bar (that feels super-awesome in Phoenix summers) and 2). Not having the most comfortable feel. The good news is that you can fairly easily swap your stock steering wheel out with the Ford Performance Raptor-Style Steering Wheel for 2015-2020 F150s. This steering wheel was original factory equipment on 2017-2020 Raptors with the upgraded "Raptor Appearance Package", but will fit all 2015-2020 F150s and Raptors in place of the base stock steering wheel. The Ford Performance F150 Steering Wheel uses real leather over the whole grip surface and features improved contouring and padding at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions, making it much more comfortable to hold than stock. The steering wheel comes standard with a red sight line at its top, making it easy to align and find your wheel position when you're driving. The Ford Performance steering wheel comes with paddle shifters for trucks that come with OEM paddle shifters, but aren't functional without custom wiring on trucks that did not come with paddle shifters.

2015-2020 F150 4WD Fox "Tuned by Ford Performance" 2.0 Suspension Kit

When it comes to on-road handling, off-road performance, and general ride quality, the factory shocks and coilovers don't tend to cut it, especially after they have a decent amount of miles on them. Even Ford seems to have recognized the issue, which is why they come up with their very own "Tuned by Ford Performance" Fox 2.0 Suspension Kit for the 2015-2020 F150s. This kit includes a pair of front coilovers and a pair of rear shocks that completely overhauls your F150's handling and suspension performance in a big way. The system starts out as the classic Fox 2.0s that we know and love, but Ford Performance does some fine-tuning to valving and spring rates to provide a more comfortable street ride. In any case, the Fox 2.0 coilovers and shocks feature gas-charged monotube internal designs that are combined with 2" diameter, aluminum shock bodies that give them improved response and fade resistance over stock. The front coilovers are capable of adding up to 2" of front leveling, allowing you to squeeze on bigger tires and eliminate some rake. The rear shocks can handle up to 1" of rear lift if you want to throw on slightly bigger rear blocks than stock. This kit is an excellent way to get more handling and suspension performance out of your truck all in one place.

2018-2023 F150 Ford Performance Black Emblems

Even though the classic blue oval is one of the classic emblems of American automotive history, having a big swatch of blue on the front and back of your truck can really cramp its style. The good news is that even Ford Performance agrees, which is why they've come up with their own series of black Ford emblems to give your F150 a great look, especially if you're rocking other black or dark aftermarket parts or accessories. Ford has 2018-2020 F150 Black Emblems for Trucks with Front Cameras, 2018-2023 F150 Black Emblems without Front Cameras, and 2021-2023 F150 Black Emblems for Trucks with Front Cameras. These high-quality, complete emblems feature chrome lettering on a black background, which gives them a slick, clean, and two-tone look that looks great with practically any paint color and fits right in with dark styling themes. These emblems install right in place of stock, making them easy styling upgrades for your F150 build.

2015-2023 F150 Ford Performance Red Powder Coat Tow Hooks

While the factory tow hooks absolutely do their jobs adequately, but they aren't exactly something that catches attention. Adding a set of Red Powder Coat Tow Hooks for 2015-2023 F150s is a great way to add a subtle change in looks to your F150's front end. The Ford Performance Red Tow Hooks feature an OEM-style design, but have a bright red powder coat finish that really makes them stand out. The Red Ford Performance Tow Hooks drop right into place of the stock tow hooks within minutes, making them an easy, hassle-free aesthetic upgrade for your F150 build. Ford Performance also has Blue Powder Coat Tow Hooks, if red isn't quite your thing.

2004-2023 F150 Ford Performance 20x8.5" Gloss Black Wheels

One of the first things most folks swap out on their F150 builds is the stock wheels, and if you're going to to do that, you might as well get a set made, tested, and approved by Ford Performance themselves. The Ford Performance 20x8.5" Gloss Black Wheels for 2004-2023 F150s add an awesome, slick look to your truck and even feature "Ford Performance" lettering to make them stand out even more. Unlike most aftermarket wheels, the Ford Performance Wheels have a pretty high offset and backspace, which keeps them fairly tucked in to your F150's wheel wells. Their big 20" diameters and unique spoke design add a whole new look and aggressive appearance to your F150. What's more, this wheel kit comes with a full set of 2015-2023 F150 TPMS sensors and an activation tool so that you can get the wheels up and running with your choice of tires in practically no time. Just keep in mind that the included TPMS sensors will not work on 2004-2014 F150s, though the wheels themselves will still fit.
