Who says big performance gains don't come from small packages? Definitely not Volant, because they've managed to design a cold air intake that breathes enough air into your engine for a boost of up to 18 HP and 40 lbs/ft. TQ! By incorporating larger than stock inlet ducts without those restrictive OE bends and sound baffles, a larger volume of air is free to flow through to your engine without being blunted by an inefficient design. With a molded polyethylene air filter box, you might think heat dissipation suffers, but actually Volant designed the air box to better insulate and protect the filter from heat, resulting in a cooler airflow and even better performance gains.

PowerCore Filtration Technology

The centerpiece to a great cold air intake is its filter. This is a dry, high quality synthetic filter media that won't deteriorate as quickly as a traditional paper or cotton filter media. Volant incorporated its PowerCore Filtration Technology to provide superior filtration by directing air into the front of the filter, where it is channeled into its fluted design. The channels are alternately sealed, allowing air to enter through an open flute and forcing it to exit out an adjacent flute. This allows the air to be filtered in one pass through the filter media with less restriction, allowing clean air to enter your engine for increased airflow and higher filtration efficiency.

Durable Construction

Volant constructed this cold air intake with durability and low-maintenance as a primary objective. With its dry filter, it won't require oiling and the synthetic filter media is more resistant to wear than traditional paper or cotton filters and is warranted to last a class-leading 100,000 miles! The intake is fortified by silicone hose connectors which provide flexibility when needed, but also maintain structural integrity and thermal stability. Marine-grade stainless steel clamps ensure a solid seal that won't loosen or deteriorate over time.
