On Whipple's 2013 F150 5.0L test truck, their kit was able to push horsepower output to an extremely impressive 521 rear-wheel horsepower on 91-octane fuel. The 2.9L supercharger throws out 9 psi of boost pressure out of the box using Whipple's tuning, giving your truck instant horsepower and torque from the moment you step on the throttle to when you let off. This complete supercharger kit comes with everything you need to get the system up and running on your F150 5.0L and can instantly transform your wicked truck into a powerful monster.

Powerful Head Unit with Efficient Intercooler and Manifold

Just like all of Whipple's supercharger system, this complete system is based on a powerful Twin-Screw rotor design that blasts away the competition. The two rotors inside the supercharger's head unit feature an interlocking 3x5 design that actually compresses air before it exits the head unit, which allows more air and higher boost pressures than an equivalent roots-style or centrifugal supercharger system. The massive 2.9L displacement of the head unit means that a ton of charge air is pushed into your truck's Coyote V8 per rotation for big gains. Before the air from the head unit hits your cylinders, it passes through Whipple's complete intake manifold which features an integrated and highly-efficient air-to-water intercooler that's hooked into a massive 2-gallon reservoir which helps keep inbound charge air cool, even in high-rpm situations. The high volume of air and resistance to heat soak means that your F150 gets a flat, linear torque curve for huge acceleration off the line while preserving top-end horsepower.

Customizable Kit Options for Power and Styling

Each one of these complete 2.9L supercharger kits comes with everything you need to get the supercharger system up and running on your aggressive truck. The kit's head unit comes standard with both options for a standard black finish or a classy polished finish at additional cost. Whipple includes an SCT tuner with a Whipple PCM tune to support the system, however, the tune and tuner can be excluded from the purchase price of the supercharger if you're planning on getting a dyno tune or a PCM tune from another retailer. To further improve horsepower and the supercharger's efficiency, a high-capacity heat exchanger with fans can be added to the system at additional cost.
