Twin-Screw Head Unit with Highly Efficient Intercooler and Heat Exchanger

The system's huge 3.0L head unit features an advanced and highly efficient design that is purpose-built to give your Mustang's 5.0L engine enormous power gains right out of the box. The head unit uses a twin-screw rotor design with a 3x4 configuration which compresses air before it even exits the head unit which maximizes boost pressure and efficiency. The head unit has an offset pulley design which allows for the fitment of an oversized air-to-water intercooler into the manifold assembly which further improves the efficiency of the supercharger system and allows the kit to make such awesome performance gains. The intercooler is in turn cooled by a large front-mount heat exchanger that effectively cools down the intercooler's coolant to help mitigate high-end heat soak. The heat exchanger can even be upgraded to include dual 11" electric fans for even more efficient cooling capability.

Includes Fuel Upgrades, Tuning, and a Choice of Head Unit Finish

The Whipple Gen 5 3.0L Stage 1 Supercharger Kit comes with a full lineup of supporting upgrades and hardware that allow you to drop the kit onto your aggressive Pony build and go. Each system includes 58lb/hr Bosch fuel injectors and pre-assembled billet fuel rails to adequately supply enough fuel when using Whipple's included PCM tuning. For adjusting your PCM for the 3.0L supercharger system, Whipple includes an SCT tuning device with a Whipple 91+ octane performance tune that gets your Pony impressive horsepower gains while keeping your engine in a safe margin. If you already have a tuning device or have other upgrades on your car that would require a custom tune, the tuning device and the tuning itself can be deleted from the kit and save you some cash in the process. The head unit can also come in a variety of finish colors so that you can deck out your 2011 to 2014 Mustang GT's engine bay and make it really pop.
