Powerful 2.9L Twin-Screw Head Unit with Huge Oval Throttle Body

Whipple's specially-designed twin-screw supercharger head units have always been some of the most powerful positive-displacement systems that you can put on your Mustang, and the Stage 2 Kit's 2.9L variant gets paired up with a drop-in intake manifold and a massive 132mm oval throttle body to give your Mustang's 5.0L V8 a huge jump in horsepower and torque over stock. Each head unit features Whipple's unique 3x5 twin-screw rotor design that efficiently compresses air before it even exits the head unit, making the Whipple system far more powerful than similar Roots-Style Systems. Power is further increased through the use of a massive 132mm oval, monoblade throttle body that allows the head unit to pull in all the air it needs to generate high levels of boost pressure, which means more horsepower and torque for your aggressive 2015-2017 Mustang 5.0L build.

Powerful Whipple PCM Calibration

Whipple engineers have developed a unique PCM calibration that reconfigures all the necessary engine functions of your Mustang: including fuel, spark, knock detection, torque management, transmission control and electronic throttle control. The vehicles PCM constantly monitors the engines torque output while monitoring many different parameters to keep the engine in its ideal parameters. If a parameter falls below specification, the PCM will lower boost and torque output until the problem can be cured. That's the kind of technology and fine tuning that sets Whipple apart from competitors in giving you the kind of crushing power you crave while at the same time providing you with the safety to ensure your Mustang isn't pushed to dangerous limits.
