Customer Question My 2012 Ecoboost 2wd has 3.15 gears with 270/70/17's. I was wondering how much difference I would see with these. I also have an X4 running on the 91 perf tune with lifetime tunes. I'm also considering the true trac diff, any suggestions?

Asked by: Richard S. - 12/20/2018
Customer Answer These gears would absolutely help your truck's acceleration, and the TrueTrac would provide a nice bump in traction on a 2WD/RWD F150. Whether the cost and effort is worth it depends on what you're doing with your truck, but neither would be a bad upgrade.

Customer Question I have a 2014 F150 XLT 2wd ecoboost. Will they fit my truck having the 2wd drivetrain?

Asked by: Shelby - 9/24/2016
Customer Answer These gears fit F150s with 9.75" rear ends. Most EcoBoost F150s (included RWD models) came standard with 9.75" rear ends, though it is important to check your rear end size before you order, since some RWD F150s did have 8.8" rear ends.

Customer Question In the txt isnsays will fit models from 2011-2015. I have a 2016... will it work?

Asked by: Tristan - 9/6/2016
Customer Answer These gears will fit 2011-2016 F150s with 9.75" rear ends. The issue with the 2015-2016 F150s is that they could come with either a 9.75" or Super 8.8" rear end depending on engine and drivetrain options. Please ensure that your truck does in fact have 9.75" rear end before ordering.

Customer Question I have a 2012 ford F-150 lariat ecoboost 4wd, I have an L9, and I changed the tires to 315/70/17 with raptor Wheels, and I lost a lot of power, would this upgrade fix it? and would I need to do something more

Asked by: sergio - 7/20/2016
Customer Answer Unfortunately, on a 4WD F150, you'd also need a matching set of front gears, and if your truck has a decent amount of miles on it, you'd also likely need master install kits for both the front and rear to top it off. Frankly, going from 3.55 gears to 3.73 gears is not really a cost-effective way to regain lost power on the EcoBoost F150s. Your better bet would be a custom tune to get your truck more power and revise your F150's shift points to better handle the larger wheel and tire combination. While you could absolutely do gears, you're talking about a $1200 upgrade before install, while tuners with custom tunes can be had for much less.

Customer Question Will I have LSD with this front & rear kit? Nathan 2013 ecoboost FX4

Asked by: Nathan Reese - 4/12/2016
Customer Answer This is a set of rear ring and pinion gears only, and the kit does not include an Limited-Slip or any other differential. Yukon's 9.75" LSD is available here. Front 3.73 Gears for your 8.8" IFS are here.

Customer Question My rear-end on my 2014 F-150 is an L3. Can this be installed on my vehicle? If so, how hard is the job?

Asked by: Keith - 7/11/2015
Customer Answer It can be installed on your truck, though if your F150 is 4WD, you'll also need 3.73 Front IFS gears. The job is pretty difficult, especially if you need to do both axles, and a professional installation is recommended.
