Your Mustang Spring Preparation Guide

With the Spring season comes perfect track day weather, and we've got everything you need to get your Mustang in tip-top shape. In this guide, we'll go over some of our most popular parts as well as upgrades we've personally spent time with in our own project Ponys. Lowering springs are extremely popular suspension upgrades for Mustangs, and it's not hard to see why. Along with a more nimble ride, improved cornering, and reduced body roll, the look you get with a lowered Mustang is just straight-up menacing. We loved the way Eibach's Pro-Kit Lowering Springs looked and handled on our 2015 "EcoStang."

Next up is a cold air intake. Intake kits are very popular as go-to first upgrades for their affordability and effectiveness. We went with Airaid's SynthaMax Cold Air Intake with the Dry Blue filter when we needed a boost of cold air to our EcoStang's engine.

When you really want your Pony to roar, you want to turn to exhaust. The MRT Interceptor Axle-Back Exhaust System we installed on our 2015 Mustang EcoBoost did the truck, and then some.

Now that we've covered the basics, on to Turbosmart's Kompact BOV. This aftermarket blow-off valve gets you that hyper-aggressive sound of a true blow-off valve while still promoting air re-circulation into your intake stream so your Mustang doesn't blow a valve.

Catch cans capture oil blow-by vapor and prevent oil coating your intake system, pooling in your intercooler, degrading your fuel octane rating, and from coking your Mustang's intake valves. We installed UPR's Dual-Valve Oil Catch Can on our 2015 Mustang EcoBoost project car.

Lighting can be just as transformational to your build as anything else, and Diode Dynamics' LED Conversion Kit does it all in one convenient package. This lighting kit includes replacement LED bulbs for your trunk, glove box, map, and vanity lights.
