The stock Y-pipe and factory catalytic converters are the most restrictive components of your F150's 5.0L V8, and if you want your aggressive F150 5.0L build to make some big power, you'll need SPD's 3" Catted Y-Pipe. SPD's Catted Y-Pipe offers a big improvement in exhaust outflow and efficiency that can see your F150 make awesome levels of power after the right custom tuning. SPD's downpipes come standard with a ceramic finish that gives them superior corrosion resistance than other aluminized Y-pipes. SPD's catted Y-pipe even uses catalytic converters that don't throw a CEL and help you keep your F150 emissions-compliant and street-legal in most areas. SPD's catted Y-pipe installs right into place of your F150's factory Y-pipe without cutting or trimming, saving you time and hassles.

3" Diameter Aluminized Steel with Ceramic-Coat Finish

SPD's Catted Y-Pipe were carefully designed to improve your F150's performance, all while giving you long-term reliability and emissions compliance. SPD's catted Y-pipe is built around 3" diameter, mandrel-bent tubing that allows for much more efficient exhaust flow with less backpressure than the stock Y-pipe and cats. SPD's catted Y-pipe features catalytic converters designed to avoid CELs, but that still offer improved exhaust flow over the stock cats, but still help prevent CELs and keep your F150 street-legal in non-CARB states. The Y-pipe is made entirely out of aluminized steel that then receives a gray VHT high-temp ceramic coating to further protect them from corrosion and provide some extra heat insulation. The coating can be re-applied if damaged. SPD's Y-pipe installs in place of your F150's factory Y-pipe without permanent modifications and come with all their necessary hardware.

2013 F-150 5.0

If you are needing to replace your catalytic converters on your 5.0 F-150, these are a great choice. The price is right, and the sight increases in exhaust tone is kinda nice. I already had a tune for my Phase 2 kit so I just went on Stage 3 Motorsports website and filled out a updated tune application. The truck has a throaty growl now and likes to take off. I would recommend this catted wye pipe for anyone needing to replace their old wire out catalytic converters.

These downpipes use 48-state legal cats, and technically don't outright require re-tuning. However, re-tuning with these downpipes can get your truck more power.

What are the projected gains on a stock truck?

A lot depends on the condition on your current Y-pipe and catalytic converters, so we can't guarantee specific gains. However, 10-20 peak horsepower with similar torque probably isn't outside the realm of possibility on the stock tuning.
