There are no close up photos of the mounting plates. What is the dimensions of the horizontal plate and how many holes are available for a light? Just a single one? What diameter bolt do your holes allow for? All photos shown are from a distance.

Unfortunately, I don't have dimensions of the upper plate. There is a single hole for one 3" light that accepts an M8 bolt.

Is there any trimming of the plastics between rear of hood and lower windshield required?

Nope. The mounts do not require any trimming or drilling. They have a very simple drop-on install. Whether you'll want to trim to better hide the wiring for your choice of lights is up to you.
