Your 2005 to 2009 Mustang GT came from the factory with an extremely restrictive crimped H-pipe that caused a ton of back pressure due to its less than efficient factory catalytic converters. Your Mustang's stock mid-pipe is the most restrictive part of your exhaust system and swapping it out with a new aftermarket X-pipe or H-pipe will help you make a bunch of extra horsepower and torque while improving your exhaust note and fuel mileage.
