Best cold air intake
I have installed quite a few CAI's on past vehicles, but this one has taken the cake. A lot of it is credited to the Ecoboost, but I have noticed a lot more HP/Torque gain as well as MPG gain with this CAI than any other I have installed. I have yet to install the CTS Tuner, truck has less than 10k miles on it and I am not ready to void the warranty. But I HIGHLY recommend this CAI to any Ecoboost owner.

2013 150 EcoBoost
Very satisfied with the AFE CAI and CTS Tuner Package. Easy instructions, easy install. The CTS Tuner is lots of fun to play with if you are a gadget freak. So many combinations with custom tunes. More power for sure and the turbo sound is sweet!Only one problem so far, the highest performance setting does not cooperate well with cruise control at certain speeds. I think this is due to the fact that this setting utilizes the turbo boost almost constantly. Just a guess. This is a small issue I can live with.

Really gives the OEM intake a kick to the balls. Only negative I have is with the install instructions and a part. The instructions say to install the couplings on the truck side, but the passenger side coupling is a bit tight on the new pipe. If you aren't careful, the coupling WILL rip. Fault on my end, the coupling ripped and I had to purchase another one from AFE. Suggest you install the couplings on intake side and not follow that step. Overall, great product. Gives it some extra gitty-up and go.

Customer Question I bough this for my 2013 ecoboost. I have read where this tuner is not safe for cold air intakes and can make it run lean. However, it was pit in a package to buy together. Is this tuner and afe cold air intake safe for my truck with this tuner?

Asked by: chase - 5/19/2019
Customer Answer This tuner will work fine with the included intake. I believe Edge now includes an option for cold air intake tuning for the EcoBoost trucks, but adding a CAI to the EcoBoost trucks doesn't tend to lean them out much at all.

Customer Question Does this tuner come with all of the following tunes built in? If so, what octane are each of them? Power Level 1: 54hp & 45lb-ft Power Level 2: 50hp & 53lb-ft Power Level 3: 54hp & 68lb-ft Towing Tune Economy Tune

Asked by: Alex - 4/11/2017
Customer Answer Edge's tunes aren't for a particular octane, per se, however, we do recommend only using 91 octane or higher for best results.

Customer Question Is the CAI that comes in the package Oiled or Dry? If oiled, is it possible to swap it for a dry?

Asked by: Alex - 4/7/2017
Customer Answer The intake in this kit uses oiled filters. To order this kit with an intake with dry filters, give us a call directly at 623-434-5277.

Customer Question Does the edge cts2 for the f150 ecoboost support custom tuning? Going with a catless downpipe and it will need to be custom tuned for it.

Asked by: Ethan - 10/12/2015
Customer Answer It does not. None of Edge's devices support custom tuning.

Customer Question I would like to purchase the 2011-2014 F150 EcoBoost S3M Phase 2 Performance Pack but my funds limit me being able to purchase the kit all at once. So if I bought it piece at a time and started with the tuner every time I get a new part would I need new tunes? If not I could save (which I am not a patient person unfortunately) and buy all together if best. Thanks, Troy

Asked by: Troy - 2/23/2015
Customer Answer Your problem is that the Edge CTS does not support custom tuning, and a 5-Star Custom tune on an SCT device of your choice is what comes in the Phase 2 Package, and custom tuning will be required if you take your truck further with downpipes or other upgrades. You better option would be the aFe Stage 2 and SCT X4 with 5-Star Custom Tunes Package which would allow you to get tune revisions for any performance parts you add in the future.

Customer Question This tuner will void my warranty?

Asked by: Alex - 10/1/2014
Customer Answer All warranty decisions are up to an individual dealership, but in general, a dealership can absolutely refuse to conduct a Powertrain repair under warranty if they discover aftermarket PCM tuning is/has been uploaded to your truck. While a tune can effect your Powertrain warranty, it has no effect on your truck's overall bumper-to-bumper warranty, and repairs outside of engine, transmission, and driveline components should still be covered. If want more details or more specific information, feel free to give us a call at 1-877-578-2433.

Customer Question Is there a way to reset the tune back to factory if there was ever a problem with callbacks or warranty issue is involved?

Asked by: brandon - 9/13/2013
Customer Answer This tuner will allow you to return your truck to stock. However, the dealer will always be able to see that a tuner was installed.
