Reduces Inlet Air Temperatures & Improves Flow For More Power

Keeping charge air temperatures down and under control is absolutely essential when it comes to gaining and maintaining power and torque on your 2015-2020 F150 EcoBoost truck, especially while towing or when you're in low-traction conditions. Our friends over at aFe can help you out with their redesigned and potently effective Bladerunner Intercooler for both the 2015-2020 F150 3.5L and 2.7L EcoBoosts. This powerful and efficient drop-in intercooler features a radical new design that greatly reduces charge air temperatures and improves airflow into your F150's EcoBoost V6 motor to provide your truck with nice power gains with far less drop-off as your F150 reaches into the upper RPM ranges. The intercooler drops right into place of your 2015-2020 F150 EcoBoost's factory intercooler and comes with everything you need to get your truck churning out more power and torque.

Unique Design Built for Highly Efficient Airflow and Cooling

aFe's Bladerunner Intercooler features one of the most unique designs on the market so that it maximizes your F150's power and performance potential in just about any application. The intercooler's hot-side opening features larger inlet ports which reduces restrictions and back pressure for much more efficient airflow over stock. The intercooler itself is an aluminum bar-plate design that offers more effective cooling ability than stock at speed. Each Bladerunner intercooler has a highly-efficient core design with a larger volume and more efficient flow path than stock. The cold side outlet is positioned nearly in line with the hot-side which further improves airflow into the cold-side tube assembly. Each intercooler comes standard with a provision for your F150's eBOV as well as breather port for getting rid of built-up moisture and condensation.

2017 F150 Platinum

Easy install, fitment on the money. Only complaint is upper mounting hardware. OEM uses bolts, New are Allen. Space above cooler is very limited as already raised upper brace. Bolts would've made install easier. Minor issue

2016 Ford F-150 3.5L

I am very happy with this product. Speaking with truth the price I did not like much but I still decided to buy it as I saw it as a great solution to improve the performance of my truck and thus not having to make additional modifications. I put some accessories in front of my truck and I worried about the air circulation on the intercooler. I think with this purchased I have solved that problem. Just I use it alone in the winter and not problem, but I need more time to see if in the hot summer it does not bring me problems, but in general I am satisfied with the product.

2015, Ford F150, 2.7L Ecobeast Superscrew

Product was delivered lightening fast especially going from West to East coast. Service is excellent as always from Stage 3 Motorsport. The quality that went into the shipping is awesome. I don't have to comment on what the product will do as I know it will exceed my expectations especially when I keep watching the intake temperatures.

does this work with the supersonic BOV as well?

Asked by: michael keighley - 1/20/2017

We can't guarantee fitment with the Turbosmart BOV at this time, due to the fact that the Turbosmart unit sticks out farther than stock, which can cause fitment issues with the charge pipe when using aftermarket intercoolers. Turbosmart is in the process of redesigning their kit to work better with aftermarket intercoolers, and that new design should be released late February, last we heard.

Will this modification require a tune?

Asked by: Joe - 9/14/2016

Nope. An intercooler alone will not strictly require a tune.
