Choice of Powerful Rigid LED Lights

2013 F150 SCREW 157 WB

I can't comment too much on the installation of the wiring because my cousin installed it. However, he did say it was easy and took about 2.5 hours on a Saturday afternoon (I don't think he was in a rush). The only thing I did was cut the hole in the dash for the switch. This is a very high quality kit, and with the provided switch it looks like a factory install. The rigid 60* duallys provide plenty of light. It's like having a set of headlights in the rear. We bolted them to the hitch receiver so no holes were drilled. I highly recommend this product, as well as Stage 3 Motorsports.

2011 F-150 FX4

Install was simple once you figure out which way you want to route the wiring. Cuting through the rubber bushing in the firewall to feed the switch wiring inside the cab was probably the toughest part of the whole install, which wasnt very hard using a razor blade. I installed the Dually Difused lights on my LEX Offroad bumper and they look awesome! Extremely bright.

2014 F150 FX4 Screw Cab 6.5 foot bed

First of all shipping from Stage3motorsports was very quick! I purchased the 60 degree dually kit. The two most difficult parts of the installation were drilling a new hole through my firewall in addition to mounting the switch on my dash. I choose to mount the switch on the same panel where the emergency release handle is located. It did not require require removing the panel. The first thing I did was make a template out of a plastic coffee can lid, then drew on the panel my switch location. Rather than use my variable speed dremel because of the dash angle (dremel wants to veer off) I drilled 1/16 holes to the inside of the lines spacing each one as close to the other hole as possible. This allowed me to punch out the plastic and then use a file to smooth the edges and create a custom fit. There was plenty of wiring harness. I did tap the reverse backup lights through my seven pin trailer plug. Very astectically pleasing and highly functional. When someone's tailgating it's nice to through on the backup lights and watch them back off. Total install time was 2.5 hours. Highly recommended!

AMAZING!! So easy to install. I can't wait to try these backup lights when I am backing up my snow mobile trailer. You can see everything behind you with these. I got the dually lights. Worth every penny.

2016 f250 superduty

Install time:3-4 hours I have this setup on my 2016 f250 superduty hitch receiver. Overall lumen(s) of this product is more than I was expecting for rigid lights. I would recommend this to anyone. You pay for what you get and it's worth the price. Fast and easy shipping

That will somewhat depend on where exactly you're going to mount the lights. In general, 3" cubes tend to work fairly well. For work lighting, Rigid D-Series Diffused lights do well, but there's a ton of options. What is the lumen out put for the lights?

That depends entirely on which lights you choose. The most powerful light option are the Dually Floods, which are rated by Rigid for 3168 raw lumens of output.

Since these lights go under the rear bumper how waterproof/water resistant are the lights/wiring? I am wondering because occasionally at boat launches it happens where the rear bumper will be in the water or close to it causing anything attached under the bumper to be submerged.

The lights don't necessarily have to be installed under the bumper how we and Starky did on our trucks. In theory, the lights can be installed practically anywhere, and Starky includes enough wiring to put them almost anywhere. However, both the lights and their connectors are waterproof and should survive short term submersion (even on a regular basis) and still function. If you do want to bring the lights higher, you could use Starkey's more basic harness combined with a set of Rigid Flush Mount lights mounted in your bumper.

Can these lights be wired/tied into factory up lifter switches on a super duty? If so, is modification required?

They technically can be, though this complete kit comes with a switch and wiring for both the lights and the included switch. If you're set on using the stock upfitter switches, you could probably save some cash by just getting the lights and then extending their wiring yourself.

Which set of lights is brighter? I have tinted windows and I barely see now so I'm looking for some bright reverse lights, can you guys tell me which would be the brightest for me?

The 20° Dually Floods would probably be your best bet if your back windshield is heavily tinted.

The video is not clear. If I wire with the switch and the back-up wire lead the lights come on with either option switch only and as back-up lights or just back-up lights?

If you wire them into both the switch and into the reverse wiring on the trailer harness, the lights will come on automatically when you reverse, regardless of whether or not the switch is pressed. However, you'll still be able to use the switch to turn the lights on manually, even if your truck isn't in reverse.

Does this kit come with mounting brackets for the lights so they can be mounted under the rear bumper?

The D-Series lights have a small bracket that comes with them that can then be used for installing the lights under the bumper.

Whats the difference between D series and SRM?

The D-Series lights feature a 2x2 block of four LEDs per light. The SR-Ms have two LEDs per light in a single row.

The lights are only available in black for this kit. While chrome isn't available, Rigid Industries does have a selection of Marine D-Series lights that have white housings. You will need to call us directly at 1-877-578-2433 to customize your order.
