Features a Complete Air Box, Filter, and High-Flow Tubing

Each of S&B's cold air intakes is 100% complete and comes with all the hardware and components you need to overhaul your 5.0L F150's intake system. The kit is built around an S&B high-flow cotton filter made with silicone bases and tops that won't crack like the competition's polyurethane filters. The filter's cotton media can be cleaned, reoiled, and reused for the life of your truck. The filter is housed in a complete air box assembly that features a larger and more efficiently sculpted forward air scoop than stock to help improve overall airflow volume. The filter feeds air into a highly efficient inlet tube assembly that greatly reduces restrictions and back pressure and is locked tight to the air box with a full silicone seal to help prevent heat soak and NVH. The air box of each kit comes with a clear lid that allows for easy viewing of the filter for maintenance checks. Each intake comes with a complete set of hardware and instructions.

2016 Ford F-150 S/C FX4

Good quality and perfect fit. 1.0 install time taking my time. Was expecting a bit of full throttle rumble from the intake but it is quite like the Orem system but definetly felt a nice increase in mid range and top end with a .5 MPG increase that has been constant after 4 trips. Would definitely recomend the product.

2016 f150 5.0

To remove and install was about 25-30 minutes. Very easy as most intakes are. I love the way it looks under the hood. Better throttle response and makes my catback exhaust sound even better. Well worth the money.

2017 F150 5.0L

Nice quality intake. Seems to be made of quality materials. The install was less than an hour and went perfectly, until the second to last step. Insert the supplied air cleaner. The problem is the hole/view port isn't large enough to pass the air cleaner through. So, you have to squash the air cleaner some to force it into the hole. Then you a left with an ugly looking air cleaner that is seen through the nice portal window :( This is why I removed one start. Now for performance, my truck has a bit of a growl now when I step on it. :) I have not had it on long enough to determine if millage increased as other reviews have stated.

2017 Ford F150 5.0

Just installed this Intake on my 5.0 F150. I absolutely love it. Got rid of any hesitation and the growl the motor makes when you stomp the throttle is unbelievable. I have also noticed a 1 to 2 MPG gain. I would definitely buy this intake again. Love the large forced air tube that goes directly to the Air filter, and large tube that hooks to the intake. For the price and quality I wouldn't go with any other I take systems.

2017 F150 Lariat 5.0L V8

Upon discovering the stock air intake is the same install on the 2.7L and up I had to upgrade mine to give my engine the air to run properly. After driving and testing power and mileage, I found the power was increased along with a mileage per gallon increased by 1.2 as well. Install was easy and simple with only bothersome part was fitting the tube (silicon-end) and intake to the main box to need a bit of rocking to slide in. Along with the view port to be a tade small for the filter, have to move the filter and tube to install and remove the filter to make room to service it. But nothing to extreme. I LOVE that this intake actually gave my engine a throatier sound, which I didn't really expect to change, Take off is better and also took a trip to the MTs at an ALT of 12,000 FT with no noticeable breathing issue for the engine with this filter.

2017 Lariat 5.0

Easy to install, looks great, sounds great. Whistles at low rpms which I kinda like. Definitely sounds better and has more power around 3-4k rpms. Haven't noticed an improvement in mpg after only 1 tank.

2018 F-150 5.0

Easy install, and very clean, after install. You could about fit the stock air box inside this monster. Not so noticeable driving around town, but you can feel a power increase, once you lay down on the skinny pedal, no doubt. No codes thrown and no issues or leaks at all.... Great product and great delivery by Stage 3 Motorsports!

Can u clean air filter by removing view cover

You really can't. The filter needs to be removed for a complete cleaning and reoiling, which requires access to the entire filter outside of the engine bay.

It looks like with this design, I will not be able to modify it to fit a high rise intake manifold such as the Boss 302, and I will not be able to install a larger throttle body. Is this true?

This intake will not fit with a Boss 302 manifold, but it will fit with an aftermarket throttle body, as its coupler can stretch to fit.

The air box locations are different on the 2015-2017 F150s, along with other changes. S&B's Intake for the 2011-2014 F150 5.0Ls is here.
