Amazing ride quality!! I was hesitant at first because I thought these might cause I stiff on street experience. However, to my surprise they’re actually more smooth on the street then stock! I pre adjusted to 3.5” of ground clearance using a spring compressor before installing them on my truck and that made it much easier then adjusting while on the truck. Overall install was very easy. They say this is completely bolt on, however you will need to drill through your frame with an 11/32” drill but for the reservoir mount on both sides which wasn’t a problem for me. I’m extremely happy with the build quality as well as the ride quality.

Customer Question Do these have adjustable settings?

Asked by: Jon - 12/16/2021
Customer Answer These coilovers have adjustable ride height, but they do not have adjustable compression. The version of these coilovers with adjustable compression is here.

Customer Question I just ordered these and I’ve been doing some reading. First of all I was wondering what height these come shipped at? Second It says they can be adjusted to 3.5” of ride height but I’ve heard even if you adjust them 1” the preload on the spring causes it to be an extremely harsh ride on and off road at low speeds. I’d like my ride height to be at 3” because that’s what I need to clear my current tire and wheel set up. I just spent $2k on these and don’t want to install them and have a horrible ride quality and regret it. Thoughts?

Customer Answer According to ICON, these coilovers come out of the box pre-set at around 2" of front lift. In general, ICON 2.5s tend to be pretty stiff on-road, however, the tradeoff is better off-road performance than the majority of the competition. The softest riding 2.5s would likely be the adjustable Radflows with a 550lb-in spring, followed by Fox 2.5 DSCs, and then King Adjustable 2.5s after that. Again, you need to decide how much on-road ride quality you're willing to sacrifice in exchange for off-road performance and damping.

Customer Question I would like my truck to be at 3” of lift and I was wondering how these are in comparison to the King 2.5 Extended travel coilovers? I notice the spring on these radflows are the proper size for a 3” lift rather then just having an adjustment that pushes the spring down further for more height. I would think this would lead to better performance at the 3” height I’m looking for. Any feedback would be great.

Customer Answer All of these coilovers add and adjust ride height based on spring preload. The only difference with the Radflos is that they give you the option for choosing a different spring rate, which can get you a softer ride (At least potentially. We have not tried them ourselves). In comparison to the Kings, the ICONs will be stiffer on the road, but arguably offer better off-road performance and damping at high speeds. Really, you decision is really going to come down to how much on-road ride quality vs. off-road performance you're looking for.
