Awesome kit. Bites hard, very quiet compared to ebc drilled and slotted. Way better than stock and close to stock for noise level. Would buy this kit again any day of the week. Would highly recommend. Stops on a dime and gives you 9 cents change :)

Nice rotors. Great pads. Took a little longer to bed in but 5000 miles on them and a trip to pikes peak. Breaks work great. Thanks guys. Keep up the good work .

I bought this kit for the wife’s Explorer having had great luck with Powerstops on my truck. Like always everything you need is in the box and installation was pretty simple. After following the recommended break in for the pads they work better than I’d hoped. The grabby stock feeling is replaced with a progressive pedal that by half pedal is way better than stock stopping power. I’ll put this kit on every vehicle I own.

Received brakes I'm 3 days from ordering, installation was very easy because of the hardware included. Only issue is I don't believe I did not do the break in procedure correctly due to brakes making noise while coming to an aggressive stop. Will order again though.

Great product with fast shipping! Nice to have rotors marked on the outside hat for easy orientation since they are directional. Brake pads bedded in per instructions...they bite well and don't squeak at all. A nice upgrade at a great price when I was just looking to do a maintenance service on my Explorer.

Great kit, very easy to install if your old rotors aren’t rust-welded on! The look of this kit vs stock is incredible. This kit will stop the truck on a dime, don’t smash the brakes unless you’re prepared!

Parts are top grade but the packaging of the Rotors was not done right. I am actually a little worried they might be warped.

Customer Question Compatible with Ford Explorer 2014 LIMITED Ecoboost 3.5L?

Asked by: Not2x - 7/31/2023
Customer Answer Really depends if your Limited was factory equipped with the sport package. If you are unsure of that, than if you measure your front rotors and make sure they are 13.8" or 352mm. If they are smaller than that, than you would need the non-sport brake package.

Customer Question Will this brake kit fit my 2016 explorer police interceptor

Asked by: Gerard - 1/3/2021
Customer Answer We can't guarantee it. Unfortunately, the "Police Interceptor" Explorers could have either standard brakes or HD brakes. The only way to know for sure is to measure the diameter of the front rotor.

Customer Question My wife's 2013 has 20 inch wheels. If it does not have the 13.8 inch rotor would it hurt to replace it with these anyway?

Asked by: Patrick - 3/19/2019
Customer Answer This kit won't fit your wife's Explorer at all if it has the smaller 12.8" brakes. Both the caliper bracket and caliper itself are different dimensions. You need to order the correct kit for your Explorer, or you'll have a bad time.

Customer Question Will these fit my 2017 Explorer Sport?

Asked by: Riley McCook - 9/21/2018
Customer Answer Power Stop has verified fitment through the 2018 Model year, and this kit will fit a 2017 Explorer Sport, as long as it has 13.8" front rotors.

Customer Question I have a 2013 Explorer Sport, the rears on mine are a vented rotor. Is the rear rotor for this kit a vented or solid rotor? The picture shows solid and i dont see vented listed anywhere.

Asked by: Kris - 10/18/2017
Customer Answer The rear rotors are vented. Unfortunately, this was the only image we were supplied by Power Stop at the time of listing. An updated image is now available and on our listing.

Customer Question Are these recommended for circuit track day use on an Explorer? If not, do you have a kit available?

Asked by: mike - 9/7/2016
Customer Answer This kit work well for autocross applications, but outright road racing or circuit racing would likely be too severe of an application. Unfortunately, Power Stop does not currently offer variants of their Track Day pads or High-Carbon rotors for the Explorer Sports, which would be a better fit for road racing.

Customer Question I can use this package on my 2016 explorer sport correct? just double checking before i order. thanks.

Asked by: adam - 6/28/2016
Customer Answer According to Power Stop, this brake kit will fit the 2013-2016 Explorer Sports with 13.8" diameter front rotors. Frankly, we strongly recommend that you measure your rotor diameter, due to the fact that Ford had several brake options for the 2011-2016 Explorers, and had a couple of mid-year splits. That being said, most Explorer Sports came with Heavy-Duty brake packages with 13.8" rotors.

Customer Question Will this Z23 kit fit onto a 2016 Explorer Platinum model? Will it affect the factory warranty?

Asked by: randy - 6/8/2016
Customer Answer This kit was designed to fit Explorers with Heavy-Duty/Severe Duty brake packages from the factory with 13.8" rotors. Unfortunately, it's not an option based on submodel. If you're unsure what brakes your Explorer has, your best bet would be to measure the diameter of your front rotors.

Customer Question Are all explorer sport 2014 equipt with heavy duty brakes?

Asked by: scott - 11/15/2015
Customer Answer Not that we're aware. With the variety of options available for the Explorers over the last couple of model years, we recommend measuring the diameter of your rotors to ensure you get the right kit.
