Our 2015 F150 EcoBoost Project has been a far cry from a street truck and it gas certainly been through more than its fair share off off-road thrashing. This truck has been through just about every terrain you can think of, and we've done our best to torture test all the parts we installed to find their limits. We've got all the photos and videos from our numerous adventures in this rig for you to enjoy right here!
On our most recent trip up to Flagstaff gave us the chance to really put our 2015 F150 through its paces as a fully completed build. The truck is sitting on a Zone 6" lift with Fox BDS Coilovers and rear shocks as well as 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers. We were very pleased with how well it handled both in the dirt and on the road. This is no doubt the perfect setup to end this project on.
On our 2016 Flagstaff off-road trip, our F150 build was rolling on a Zone 6" lift with HaloLifts Boss Coilovers as well as 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers. This proved to be a solid suspension setup that provided us with plenty of clearance and off road capability.
We took our 2015 F150 EcoBoost up to our land in Ash Fork so we could really stretch its legs with the Zone 6" lift, HaloLifts Boss Coilovers, Auto Spring Add-A-Leaf and 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers. We managed to get the truck up on three wheels, so we're gonna call this trip a total success!
While our F150 build was sitting on a Fox Stage 2 Suspension package and 33" Pro Comp Xtreme MT2s, we took it out to Prescott National Forest to spend some time running trails. The Fox kit certainly held its own, and we had no trouble making our way through the woods.
After installing the HaloLifts Boss Coilovers with our 33" Pro Comp Xtreme MT2s, we took our 2015 F150 out to Lake Pleasant to do some wheeling by the water. While the Boss coilovers are more of a budget option compared to the Icon system, they still proved to be plenty capable off-road and offered slightly more lift up front.
